My worst witchy mistake; week long snowstorm strong enough to cave in roofs. Seriously be VERY specific about magnitudes when working with dragons.
May I ask your reasoning for doing a spell to summon snow or magnitudes in weather? Just curious why one would do so.
@@MissSparks92 When I say magnitudes, I mean to specify how much or how strong. If you want ask for rain, be specific with how much or how strong, else you could have anything ranging from a 5 second trickle to a monsoon. As for snow, I was a kid and didn't want to go to school. PS, Kids, don't do what I did, be so very careful with weather.
Not my worst backfire, but funniest mistake, was when I was first doing smoke cleansing bundles with my own herbs. I had no IDEA how much non-weed things can smell like... well, weed. The house reeked, and I frantically ran around shoving all the windows open before my parents got home. It didn't completely work, but I told them some cooking had gone wrong and prayed they didn't ask. Luckily, they didn't, but I got some really hairy eyeballs.
Make popcorn and brew coffee those cover up smells pretty well also keep the windows open and if anyone asks you burnt the popcorn
I absolutely adore the mindset of spell "aftercare" ... cause like trauma inducing shit can happen when you don't aftercare in kink .... equally so if you don't aftercare your magic
See, I had very negative thoughts about my place of work and considered hexing. My bf, who doesn’t believe in magic, immediately said ‘don’t shit where you eat’ and it stayed my hand. Things have settled, somewhat, on their own and I’ve since grown my knowledge more. Enough to know that other people work where I work who definitely don’t deserve a hex to land on them and definitely not enough to know how to undo it if that happened. This is a good video for me because I now realise I don’t know how to undo something if it goes wrong, it’s a major gap in my knowledge.

I decided to use charcoal from my Samhain fire to write protection runes under the doormat. Then I had the bright idea that adding a "love and communication" bindrune would be a good addition.
Turns out flanking a love/communication bindrune with a home protection rune on either side will just be a barrier instead. Whoops..
I washed it off with moon water after three days. Everyone was in a terrible mood and refusing to talk to each other. Lesson learned!
That's interesting. I have little knowledge about runes, so if you're willing to, would you please elaborate as to why that combination worked out the way it did?

So many people have been like “you know what you did” and I’m genuinely like, nope 🥴 or just simply refuse to talk to me and just stay mad lol. I’ve learned to find a little humor in it honestly and if anything it’s helped me to crack down on boundaries. I’m not going to guess anymore, communicate to me or there is no problem 🤷🏻♀️

just to say- you can still do hexes and baneful work IN your home. it’s not going to keep demons in ur bedroom or something. if you don’t believe that the negativity will stick to your house then it shouldn’t give it power. idk, ppl just don’t have open access to do spells outside like that and there should be options
idk the whole don’t do this or this is still dogma and elitism. there is nothing you HAVE to do in witchcraft, do what you feel. just cleanse after the hex. that’s all
@@LaLaLoopsyCutiemeh, it’s her advice. Obviously, you’re free to do what you want, but her experience is don’t shit where you eat, metaphorically speaking. It’s not elitism or dogma to give advice.
You're free to do whatever you want! In my experience, I feel like it's a really good rule of thumb to stick to if you're more on the beginning side of practicing or maybe don't have the capability to fully cleanse your space, like if you have roommates or are living with family, which was my case. Like I said in the video, if you do end up hexing somewhere where you hang out, its best to cleanse and then bless (which I did mention, since I know its not accessible for everyone to not do it in the house or in the yard or that area). I learned from experience and plenty of teachers who give the same or very similar advice, and you're free to take or not take it. I'm not the authority on witchcraft and never pretended to be.
I did something similar! Made a potent curse jar, put all my intentions into it, then tossed it in my own trash can! It worked, but I also had a really rough 2 years after that. Safe hex is for everyone lol

I think that's a valid response and I think me having my backfire made me reaaaally hesitant around baneful magic. As I've gotten older, it's just made me think really hard about consequences and if something is truly justified.

It wasn’t a backfire but it was a bit of a mistake: did my first tarot reading when I was 9, didn’t look at the card meanings for some reason. Pulled the death card and was horrified. Never touched the deck again. 2 weeks later my bio mom OD’d, was dead for 2 minutes before being resuscitated and then got into the 2nd biggest DHS case I’ve been in. The cycle was living with her but she did in fact briefly die lol.
The thing is, shes been resuscitated from the dead multiple times, she’s had more near death experiences than I can count. And somehow my very unhealthy grandmother is also still alive. I genuinely think there was a deal made in my family at some point cuz my bio mom, by all logic should not be alive

As far as backfires go, i haven't experienced anything dramatic. I've had spells and rituals fail spectacularly like a house of cards collapsing but more in a back to the drawing board fashion.
OMFG, AUTIE, I NEED MORE OF THESE !!! My first jinx backfired on me because I did it in my dorm to a person who lived with me at the time and used our shared spices for it 🤦♀ ended up jinxing myself and everyone who lived with me. I got so miserable I transferred colleges. (I just put 2 and 2 together watching this 😂)

So one of the things that has kept me from engaging with spellwork over the years is the fear that my distracted mind won't formulate intention right. But in 2019, one of the things I was so sure of was getting to the bottom of my burnout, like we're going to fix this trauma or else.
Sometimes I wonder if I kicked something off, because that's pretty much all I've been doing ever since? Pandemic reality check, got diagnosed, etc. Learned a lot, but maybe I should try wrappng things up somehow.

Ironically my worst backfire to date was a money bowl that I tried to create to help me achieve my goal of being able save a certain amount after my bills. Nothing grand but I wanted to save a certain amount. I have no idea what I did wrong but guess who lost the exact amount I was trying to save. I undid it after I realized but now I don’t know how to recover.

I don't know if this counts as a hex but in junior high I had this girl that used to bully me and others. I prayed and fasted for her to disappear from my life. When I entered high school she was gone. I found out years later she moved away. I learned prayers work and so does forgiveness. I don't blame you for doing this, if I learned about the lemon hex I could see myself doing that. 😂

Somewhat new witchling here! This isnt probably the WORST mistake ill ever make, but once i was about to leave town to see my dads parents (long story but i live with my moms parents and my sister, im 18) and i wanted to protect the house, so i made a sigil to protect the house, and i drew it on the back porch, under our doormat. I didnt register that my sister is ALSO a witch, and she had her own wards up (shes just as new as i am). When i got back in town, i looked at the house and said, "my sigil worked. Thats good." And she proceeded to tell me that a few days after i left, something flew into the house, and she asked her own spirit ally to check on it, and she KILLED this spirit that flew into our house. That was the day i learned that my magick and my sisters magick clash in a very strange and not good way.

My worst/most successful spell to date was a too successful baneful working. I was in a 4 way friend group in high school and 2 of my friends were starting to date and kind of leaving the other two of us behind. Obviously because it was high school we were feeling angry and abandoned. My friend knew I practiced witchcraft and she asked if we could do a spell. Basically I braided two cords together to represent the two that were dating, we spit on the cord, poured bleach over it, and smoked some cigarettes using the container as an ashtray (chemical and fire safety were nowhere to be seen). We were both absolutely full of hurt and intention which is why I think it ended up working so well. Within 2 weeks, all four of us had had several huge toxic falling outs, and to this day 6 years later I only speak to one of them and it’s very on and off

so far the worst thing I've done is take home a mysterious bone that one of my friends found in their dorm room during move-in. Even after one of my more experienced witchy friends said they didn't like its vibes. I put it in a bag with some herbs and salt to cleanse it and left it in my closet for the night. That night I had a dream that I had to get rid of the bone with the help of an ancestral spirit, I woke up, decided it was too early to deal with it, went back to sleep, and then forgot about it until the next night. my friends helped me get rid of the bone (we threw it in the dumpster behind the building, probably not the most respectful thing but my ancestors told me to get rid of it so I did) my witchy friend said whatever was attached to it followed it back to their room and so they put up protections for both of us and I stayed up the rest of the night praying. the vibes in my room were atrocious for a whole week and I was cleansing daily. I still have no idea what was attached to it and my guides and friends have advised against looking more into it, and frankly, I don't want to know cuz whatever it was it was bad

When I was in middle school I was at home and I learned about AX body spray doing the fire thing. And my dads friend left behind a ton of candles and I had some of them and I was just playing around, I wasnt doing a ritual or anything. But I was like I'mma light this candle with ax body spray no intention. But after I did it I was like "ooooo a love spell" like if it was violin stings with a mute on em. 3 internet fiancee's I never even saw. I had a few boyfriends online here and there I never really saw. I've even had sex, but my first times shouldnt have gone down like that. No one really responds to first messages. I've never been on a date. I dont know what cuddles are. And I'm gonna be 30 so my teens-20s.....I didnt get none of that young lover nostalgia. I could still experience that in my 30s but theres always gonna be that low grade vibe attached to it. If someone I grew up with wasnt gonna.......I can already see the stranger across the table asking a question and getting an honest answer and then just peace-loving out mid date. It was an accident to the fullest extent of that word.
Other than that I dont have blowbacks. The wildness of when you dont have friends and you have to do it in the house though. You dont want these thorns.

I’ve had a hex idea for a while but no one to hex but I thought id share, using ginger in a hex to give the recipient digestive issues. Though of it the other night after I mistakenly drank ginger tea before bed
Never hex unless you're prepared to get hexed back bc it can always backfire no matter how professional you are
Yes - I think definitely as you get more experienced or hex more, you have less likelihood of backfiring and safe hexing always minimizes this, however any spell can always backfire for a multitude of reasons.

Do return to sender spells count as a hex? Or do you kind of have to do those at home to like…return the energy from the home back to them? May or may not involve a mirror 😅
Totally depends on who you ask! I personally do return to senders in house. It’s really only very nasty things I would do outside - also keep in mind that in my tradition, a lot of curses or baneful magic are traditionally done at certain places.

I'm always afraid I'm going to "forget a step". Like I'm going to "forget to cleanse my space, or my tools, or forget to ground and protect". Or the spell itself is going to backfire.
Always do baneful magick outside of your home. Never inside your home or on your property and immediately undress and wash the clothes you wore when you get back home and take a salt bath and sage your aura. You're good to go with this. Much easier than having to clean your whole house after every spell. I have cemetary spirits I work with for many types of spells including a successful hex.
I would love to find a local community that I could turn to. I know that they are out there, but I have no clue how to connect. I don't really have any metaphysical stores within a reasonable distance (think 2 hours one direction). I am deep in the southern Appalachian bible belt and any kind of metaphysical store get run off pretty quickly. I hope to connect one day with more Appalachian folk practioners!
Online classes or teachers also often have community spaces! A lot of my teachers have Patreons, online courses, and allow for discussion within those spaces! I would look into that ❤️

"Worst" screw up and teaching moment for me. Don't call to you or summon well anything just because it seems like a good idea with zero idea what you are doing. Me being a dumb teenager and having no idea what I was doing. I decided just calling out to the fay to show up and literally nothing more specific than that. No research, no prep work, no offerings or anything. End result was getting chased out of a wooded area and being pelted by acorns.

Same way you could cleanse the inside! I would also always ask allies before doing anything (plant or otherwise). Be mindful of harm to the soil or local wildlife!
Okay so I need help then. I feel like this video was made for me because my life has turned to absolute shit. I did a karmatic spell asking for god and the angels to make karma come quickly for a girl who is a really shit person. To everyone around her and me too. It fell and I cleaned up the wax, I used a purple candle, yarrow, sage, and another herb I can’t recall. Nothing has happened to her but I’ve fallen into an even deeper depression and such shit anxiety. How do I undo this man HELP😭
Edit; I did this on my desk where I get ready every morning and it fell on the floor in front of it.. how do I undo what I did😀 I’m so stupid because now I get why it’s faced to me. I was staring at myself in my mirror but I was speaking about her and putting the energy into the hatred and anger I felt for her. Now I’m screwed

OK so first banish spell I did I buried at the location of the bully I was dealing with and yall....it cleared the building out of ALL the people who were supporting that person, and I had only ever put their name in the banishment, so....be safe cuz that sh*t WORKS, and I thought I did everything well, and yet it still went beyond. I also buried it, so that land is now forever cursed with that energy lmao, cuz idk where tf I buried it anymore.
