I lived in the cubist house just below Vyšehrad, on Rašínovo Nábřeží, for one year. It was amazing to wake up to the church bells every Sunday morning!

i love these videos. Im from germany but have lots of family in Poland, Czech Republic and the Balkans. I didnt grow up learning the language but my parents used to tell me the folklore and stories from their childhood. It's funny how similar german folklore is to the slavic ones. My father used to always say: Everything east of the Main (River) is balkans and im starting to believe it. Love the stories! keep going!

I love Vyšehrad, I saw it two times when I was visiting the city. My favourite parts were - the cemetery which is full of graves of prominent people, I do recommend this especially if you know something about history, and the statue of Záboj and Slavoj.

Thanks for making this video. I will be traveling around Europe next year, and Prague is on the itinerary. Now I have something to look forward to seeing. It always makes the experience more impactful when you know the history behind it. I wept at the tombs of Lord Nelson and Duke of Wellington when in St. Paul's cathedral. Just knowing I was standing in front of these great men's final resting place overwhelmed me.

Such a coincidence! My mother has just been on a trip to Prague for a week, apparently it is beautiful, she is very happy. Greetings from Poland! 🙂

I visited Visehrad when I was on my Erasmus in 2015, I'm sad I didn't see this.

I just realize that, despite driving by on the other riverside frequently, I haven't been on the Vysehrad for 20 years.

Yeah, I've been here for eleven years and I still haven't been to many important places connected to old Prague legends. I need to visit them more often.

Great content. I visited both places when in Rome and when I was in Prague and I remember hearing the first part of this legend though it was a long time ago. Thank you.
