"And in time, a new hope will appear." Thanks a lot Disney for ruining Luke, from a powerful, hopeful caring Jedi who saw the best in everyone and became the beacon for hope to a spiteful, pessimistic hermit who continued the dogmatic practices of the Jedi order before and turned his back on the galaxy.
Of all the Jedi shown here (excluding Kenobi and Yoda because we know about them) there’s 3 still alive, 3 who die before the events of A new Hope and 2 who’s fates are as of yet unknown up to and past Ep4. That being Cal and Vos, we know Cal is alive but not what he’s been doing in the closer run up to ep4 (10 years before ep4 10BBY) or past it and Vos we know is still alive around the same time period (10BBY) as Cal but not what happens later on either. Kanan, Eeth Koth and Madame Jocastnu are all dead pre Ep4. While Ezra, Ahsoka, and Grogu are alive and present past Ep6.
this line is so inspiring, and it makes it more meaningful knowing Luke is the new light to come for not only the jedi, but the galaxy, sad that character arc was completely undone by ep 8, but well, theres nothing that can be changed

Ever since I was a kid Obi Wan has been my favorite Jedi. He is everything I value and admire. I truly cannot wait for his Disney+ series.
Only if he listened dooku in episode 2🥺
I really admired him since I am young. He passed all of his trials and life. That's why the Forces and even his old master greatly acknowledge him, so the Force give him a great calling in his life. He is the one that truly brought Hope.
The mashup gave me the chills.
I ain’t gon lie... this edit hit me hard Whoever made it thanx it kinda made my day
*"This is Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. I regret to report that both our Jedi Order and the Republic have fallen with a dark shadow of the Empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi. Trust in The Force. Do not return to the Temple…that time has past. And our future is uncertain. We will each be challenged. Our trust. Our faith. Our friendships. But we must persevere. And in time, a new hope will emerge. May the Force be with you, always."*
The amount of times obi wan could've fell to the Darkside but kept control of the light is impressive. Very under rated character and I cannot wait to see Ewan McGregor and hayden christensen again in KENOBI
I love how he said A New Hope meaning Luke Skywalker is The Last Hope for the Galaxy and also Episode 4 A New Hope
How dark it is to think that he literally said, "Now Our Future, is Uncertain"
"And in time, a new hope will appear."
Thanks a lot Disney for ruining Luke, from a powerful, hopeful caring Jedi who saw the best in everyone and became the beacon for hope to a spiteful, pessimistic hermit who continued the dogmatic practices of the Jedi order before and turned his back on the galaxy.
This would have so much meaning and depth if it wasn't for the sequel trilogy
Man... I'm literally crying. Really. SW has a special place in my heart and the OST always gets me.
“A new hope will emerge” HE SAID THE THING!
this line is so inspiring,
and it makes it more meaningful knowing Luke is the new light to come for not only the jedi, but the galaxy, sad that character arc was completely undone by ep 8, but well, theres nothing that can be changed
One of those instances where the movies brushes over a detail that is then expanded upon in books/shows/games and made into a major thing that changed the fate or many
It’s right when he says “our faith” and he starts to get emotional that I lose it every time😭
That was very emotional for me. Idk why but i forgot how long its been since he made that message. Almost 20 years in our time now. And even though its fiction these characters marked parts of my life, trials and tribulations. They keep us going and remind of of the light times and the dark struggles.
Words can't express how that speech makes me feel everytime I hear it
Truly one of the greatest recorded Jedi. He’s one with the force now
"Yes, Master..."
Damn, that really hurts to watch. Great editing!
The fact that in the Star Wars universe this recording will probably live in the archives forever able to play for future generations of Jedi, and play for our future generations is just amazing to me
This is why star wars is still something I return to after all these years. May the force be with you.
Ezras face be like: wat
“This is Star Wars Director George Lucas. I regret to report that both our franchise and canon has fallen; with the dark shadow of Disney rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder to any remaining Star Wars fans: trust in the force. Do not try to recapture your childhood with the sequels; that time has passed, and our future remains uncertain. We will each be challenged; our trust, our faith, our friendships. But we must persevere. And in time, a new hope will emerge. May the force be with you, always.”
That literally is the best one yet
This has my seal of underratedness
You are a god damn poet!
He sold the company
1. This was awesome!
2. Inaccurate but understandable!
This audio makes me cry
That was perfect how kannan got done listing to the recording heard the door open and then decided to open his eyes. Those were some wonderful scene transitions.
How many lives saved by Obi! He is my favorite because he is so caring and loyal!❤
