  • The bow is now pretty much complete (but not finished). Getting the bulwark finished is my next task so I can start final sanding and exterior faring. Gittin’ her done. Exciting stuff!

      @@rhenryinoregon yup eh, he patented the machine and tried to sell it to major tool companies who elected to wait out the patent protection period.

    I've been following this for sometime now. I'm planning on staying a widebody in the next 6 months. Just wanted to say " you are doing an awesome job!" most impressive! Thank you for documenting your journey, as I am sure it added many hours to your build time. Time that could have been spent building. It is much appreciated, all the tips and tricks. Thank you sir. It has been a pleasure watching you.
    Tight lines.

      Thanks so much! There are several wide bodies over in Newport and they look like great boats - very similar for obvious reasons. Good luck to you. It’s been really fun and I’m glad I’m doing the videos just because it’ll be fun to look back on them. Hopefully I don’t have too many bad habits. My shop skills have improved a lot, but still messy. Oh well!

      @@rhenryinoregon I'm on the East Coast, don't get me wrong, I would love to do a Great Alaskan! A wide body seems more suitable. Mostly river and Chesapeake Bay fishing, occasional trotline crabbing. I have never posted to any video before, just wanted you to know how much sharing your journey, has been appreciated by myself and I am sure many other, who never take the time to say..."Man,.. Job well done, you are much appreciated". I am excited to see you all finished, and hope you film first launch and first fish. I am just as excited for you, as I would be for myself!!!. I hope it is all you dreamed and more. Fish on and stay safe

      @@rhenryinoregon I've heard it's great paint. Are you rolling and tipping or spraying?

    • @rhenryinoregon
      @rhenryinoregon  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jackhilligoss6531 Rolling. I’m following advice from a professional and if thinned and applied correctly it shouldn’t need tipping. If it does, it does. Will test it out first.

      @Randy Henry I apologize for so many questions,but it's how I learn.Are talking about Russel Browns book on rolling perfection?

      @@jackhilligoss6531 I don’t mind at all. Yes, that’s the book. As I learned in my interior painting, it’s best to practice first, so I’ll see if I can duplicate his success. Do you have experience? Feel free to email if you’d like.
