Nice to see that the pods fits the Contour! Receives mine tomorrow! Frameless and bottom pocket was a dealdreaker for me.
Awesome let me know how u like it
What is your torso length? I'm on the fence about getting a small or medium with the Waypoint.
What did we do before they added the bottom stash pocket to packs lol. I have the Waypoint, and I love it. It toted nicely on the Ice Age Trail last year and on the AT this year. Totes well on the shoulders and hip, but I don't think I'd do over 20 pounds in it, but I'm light enough I don't worry about hitting 25 pounds unless it's winter. I haven't even used my 40L pack since getting it, don't see the need to
Waypoint seems really really good just miss the bottom pocket I agree
But for such a low weight it's great to see a full frame full pading full hipbelt shoulder pockets hipblet pocket DCH top notch material... Looks pretty nice! And more "accessible" for those of us who are not very very ultralight hikers compared to the Contour. I do think that you miss that point on your conclusion they are definitely not meant for the same base weight... For a thru hike with long water or food caries the contour will only work for really hard-core ultralighters
Agreed, I talked a bit about it in carry capacity, but yes would have been good to mention that In The pro and con section . Thanks for the comment.
@@BackcountryRenegadeyeah definitely love your reviews thinking about getting a Rainbow li myself
Would love to see more about the Waypoint!
Using a 35L pack for dayhiking is insane. What the heck are you taking?
It’s backpacking not day hiking 😂
The wife’s snacks, extra layers, first aid, my snacks, you know.. the usual
No bottom pocket on the waypoint was what made me go with a different company. I liked the waypoint otherwise.
Agreed. Wish it had that for sure. Glad the contour does
its literally just a palante v2 copy :D
Indeed. Hyperlight had been ripping cottage companies off with all of their newer products. Terrible company.
