I do like this pack but because I'm not a small dude, my Waypoint 35 will continue to be my 'go to' pack. I look forward to Jesse getting them in soon so I can have a look see. :)
This is definitely my 2025 purchase as I’m capped with my 2024 spend. 😅 My setup on the Aero 28 (fully packed with food, water, and fuel) with a bear canister is hovering around 17.5 lbs. Hard to sacrifice some comfort items like a titanium cup for some weight savings but I’m almost happy for my 3 day/2 night setup.
I am assuming that this pack is too small for a tent, sleeping mat and sleeping bag etc for multi day trips? I love the running vest style shoulder straps. Do you recommend an alternative pack such as the arc'teryx aerios 45 (or a better pack) for multi day treks?
@@bilaltahir9978 this pack the way I am wearing it in the photo and in my fairy meadows trip, I had it loaded with an overnight. The tent would need to be on the outside. My hubby had the tent. This will easily do 1-2 day treks but likely not more. It’s too small. I have a mountaismith Zerk with vest straps for longer and also zpacks just came out with vest straps on their Nero.
I'm interested in the pack but not sure if it will hold all of my hiking gear? My base weight is about 9 lbs and fully loaded with food and water I'm usually between 17 lbs - 18 lbs. I have a quilt, Zpacks Altaplex tent, typical clothes, food bag, cook system. Would love to hear your opinion on whether or not the Aero 28 can hold a typical ultralight system. Thanks!
I’m on the same boat as you too! Waiting to pick up the Aero 28 this year. Currently, I’m estimating about 17.5 lbs fully loaded with a bear canister. My list has a 15 degree sleeping bag, HMG Mid 1, Thermarest XLite, clothes, cook system, etc. so the dimensions theoretically should fit in the Aero 28. 🤞
@@L4mTr4n Let me know how it goes. Looks like your system is very similar to mine (less the bear can), so I'd be interested to know how it works out for you.
Thank you for the review! I've been waiting for someone's honest opinion.
@@Foskey83 no problem :)
great review...
I'm in the process of changing my packs to vest style soooo comfortable
@@j3hikes444 thank you
Thanks for the review, AlpineEarth. I know which packs I’m selling before I buy this pack!

@@tylernblaney ya the waypoint is pretty sweet.
I think the best is my biggest selling point.
Oh for sure

Which bear canister are you using inside?
@ I’m using the Lighter1 Lil Sami. Dimensions are 7” diameter and 9” tall. Weighs less than 29oz.

I’m debating between the aero 28 vs HAJKER PRO 30L WINTER ROLLTOP DAYPACK. What do you think? Thanks!
@@TalZKazaz that is not even a competition. The Aero is way lighter, sexier, better material and just a better pack.
@ got you. Thanks!
How tall are you and what size did you get ?
I’m 5’6 and I have a long back for a woman.
17.5 inch back and I have a medium
Did you order the same size as your other hyperlite packs ? Or should someone downsize cause of the vest style ? Thanks
@@seanhoglin1793 I ordered the same size. I would not downsize or the vest
May be too small
