As a black woman, this (not only this in particular but all the attacks made by black people) made me feel so ashamed. We know how it feels when we're attacked because of our race and skin color, yet we do the same to other races as well instead of sticking together and helping each other out!
And some black people say that ''we can't be racist''. The ignorance!!
    Edit:
I heard personally from black people that I know, that we can't be racist, so please don't tell me that this isn't possible or not true. Hate and racism can reside in EVERYONE.
By ashamed, I don't mean for being black **I am proud for who I am**. But more like sympathy, empathy and just distressed really. I'm not a native English speaker, so I don't always find the ''right'' word which transforms my exact feelings into words.
Love and support from a Black AND Muslim woman to everyone 💌

When you say black people cannot be racist. But I have read multiple comments written by blacks stating that and also stating that blacks can be racist. So for example, saying "going back to your own country" to an asian person from a white person is racist but from a black person is not? Or are you saying that blacks can say that and it's not racist bc blacks had suffered racism? So has Asians, Latinos. And many other minority groups.

I think City Hall's hand is currently being forced because a minority community is being targeted. Even the most liberal members in the City Council wish this to go away pronto. And that is accomplished by law enforcement, plain and simple.
The last thing they want is for the Asian community to unify, gain political power, become advocates for law & order and vote as a block. That would complicate the vision of the "defund the police faction" in the City Council. These situations complicate the politicians juggling act with the various ethnic and racial factions within the city.

It's fairly simple to me. I'm a NYC Born Latina from the L.E.S. I am ashamed to admit this but having hung around the wrong crowds as a young teen(punk as* age of 12-14 y/o), I was among(never did myself) groups who preyed on the Asian community. I see this as part of my cultural upbringing in the neighborhood. We had always seen Asians as easy targets bc they were seen as very submissive and less likely to seek help from cops. I am surprised this is now being brought up due to the latest "RACIST" topic, but this is OLD NEWS! We should just say it like it is. City lowlives(like the ones I hung with) are predominantly of the minority group(it is what it is), and it may not neccesarily be racist, but it's wrong. These acts are not being committed by WHITE supremacy or KKK. City Folks.... YOU know the deal.

You know. This type of stuff has been going on for a while; however, it’s not just a one way street and my issue is that’s how the media is portraying this.
For years the other community has been doing the same and there are documented cases. But since this whole Corona thing and Trump’s comments it’s gone to Asian hate. Whatever. Tge people attacking people under him were white and no news came out.
This here is just business set up in these communities and community relations. It’s not acceptable by any means on either part but this is deep rooted and not new.
Only to the media. To yet once again demonize Other minorities.
My question, what happened to the white guy that shot those Asian ladies.
I don’t see any reports on that Asian kid that burned down the house of Africans with them in it at night, in Colorado. Whole family dead. That’s a hate crime.
