- Two bystanders are being praised for jumping into action when they helped corner a suspect who assaulted an elderly Asian woman in San Francisco's Japantown on Tuesday. Betty Yu reports. (5/12/21)
Arrested 10 times in the last 5 years...and now just robbed an old lady while on parole....clearly he wants to stay in jail, please grant him his wish

he wont go to jail. He will be let go. Why? he didn't use any weapons and the amount he attempted to steal was less than $900. Current SF law: no jail time for theft/robbery of less than 900.......

These men have true compassion, especially for the caring of strangers. They deserved to be called “Heroes.” They acted without thinking twice of the possible danger. I’m from FL. I’m glad to see citizens and police working together. A crime is a crime, and criminals need to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Average in California is somewhat of a misnomer. Average here = pretty well off compared to everywhere else. I grew up in northern England in the 70's and was happy if I had money to get lunch at school or socks to wear - and it's still like that in Bolton. Google: "Marcus Rashford highlights staggering child poverty in Bolton to win government u-turn on free meals". This is 2020 and in a county that people think is well off. Bolton was one of the centers of the industrial revolution and now kids, regardless of race, are going hungry. Where do you see this in Commiefornia?
But back then as a kid I thought we were pretty well off because we could be in a house. There was nothing else. We had a house - no phone, no car, no colour TV. Most times we had food. Most times.
