I love Freddie for decades, but since then - I love Dimash with all his facets, his voice, his artistery, and I so much respect him for (indeed his) guts to do this song with such a short time of preperation and without speaking English at all at that time (beginning 2017). So - I of course love both artists, their voices and their uniqueness. They are both beasts on stage, incredible stage presence and charisma - but both as well incredibly beautiful humans. Loved Freddy Mercury's version-ofcourse. BUT, and I'd bet my house on it-Freddy would be so proud of Dimash's version, because he took it from being a great song, to a song that is plain and simply unachievable by any other human being. AND NOT ONLY THAT it was fabulous, just fantastic - it was a brilliantly entertaining performance. Created by an incredibly naturally gifted-perfectly trained young man. Thank you! This performance at the big show I´m singer in China is from 2017. Now he speaks English pretty well. His voice is outstanding in this show, but he gets better and better every year. Professional singers including opera singers and vocal coaches, speak highly of his skills and special technique. Unfortunately, many can't really hear quality.

7 isn't a lot since he has around 100 but thank you for the ones you do. His English wasn't the best at this time, however he continued to study English and Mandarin and has become pretty darn good. So yeah he screwed up so words mainly right around where you asked if he was bouncing between languages, definitely was not his best there, he did seem to get a grip going on further. And yeah being weak in English it took balls 😂😂. I agree with you he made this a different version than Freddies and I love them both.

Hola. Esta presentación es de su participación en la competencia I am Singer en China, en el 2017. Fueron varios meses y muchas las actuaciones de Dimash, era una cada semana , y esta una de ellas. No es que esté en competencias constantemente, pues ya hace mucho dejó de estar en competencias. No le hace falta, y ganó muchas siendo más joven. Creo que no se debe preferir una u otra, cada una es diferente. Me parece, si, que Dimash hizo el mejor cover de esta canción que pueda haber, con mucho respeto por Freddy Mercury, pero haciendo suya la versión, y creo que lo logro y es genial. This is " I Am Singer 2017." The show introduced Dimash to the world. I watched the whole show, some of the other singers were very good...but could not touch Dimash. When Dimash appeared on this show he was 22 years old and only spoke Kazakh and Russian. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English ( this song), and Mandarin. The singers were only allowed one week to learn the songs they were to perform for that week. The guy in the black T-shirt in the yellow chair Dimash was fierce and that now he was really stressed. Brian May, of the group Queen, said that Freddie would have been proud of Dimash. Dimash was the first foreigner and the youngest contestant in the show's history. It had been only for professional Chinese singers who had established careers. I hope you react to all of the songs Dimash performed in "Singer 2017." He was beyond amazing. One song he sang while he was ill, Daybreak, and still blew it out of the water. He had lost his voice and had to go to the hospital for throat injections. They said it took him three weeks to fully recover. He never missed one performance.

Dimash sang in english but dident know so mutch english then. We are calling it "Dinglish"...we love how he talkes it to. He is mutch better at it know and talks quite well. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. This competition was about 5 years ago. He's singing in English. His English pronunciation is much better now. If it is a Chinese competition (and I think this one was), there was a rule that the winner had to be from China. He probably knew this. I thought comparing to Freddie's version to Dimash was boring. Both was good but Freddie being the one who wrote it and performed it, Dimash was better. His speech may not be exact but you know what he was saying. He makes every song he sings smoother and connecting. No one can compete with Dimash. His latest songs are not as good as his older songs. Don't know if it is because he is on tour and people copy the songs but they just aren't as good. Hope that changes and he goes back to his innocence version. I do enjoy watching your reactions.
Dimash is composing more songs. You don't like The Story of One Sky, or Omir? El Amor En Ti? He composed all of those. Maybe it is just the sensual, sexy style of his last two compositions that you dislike? I love his versatility. I'm loving them all. He can't please everyone with every song. Dimash can screech those high notes, but I have trouble understanding him. Like you, I wasn't sure what language I was hearing. I much prefer Tommy's beautiful, strong voice. I also prefer Dan Vasc's powerful version of this song. Freddie will always be the best, so I'd put Dimash 4th on this one.

Thank you! This performance at the big show I´m singer in China is from 2017. Now he speaks English pretty well. His voice is outstanding in this show, but he gets better and better every year. Professional singers including opera singers and vocal coaches, speak highly of his skills and special technique. Unfortunately, many can't really hear quality.

7 isn't a lot since he has around 100 but thank you for the ones you do. His English wasn't the best at this time, however he continued to study English and Mandarin and has become pretty darn good. So yeah he screwed up so words mainly right around where you asked if he was bouncing between languages, definitely was not his best there, he did seem to get a grip going on further. And yeah being weak in English it took balls 😂😂. I agree with you he made this a different version than Freddies and I love them both.

Hola. Esta presentación es de su participación en la competencia I am Singer en China, en el 2017. Fueron varios meses y muchas las actuaciones de Dimash, era una cada semana , y esta una de ellas. No es que esté en competencias constantemente, pues ya hace mucho dejó de estar en competencias. No le hace falta, y ganó muchas siendo más joven. Creo que no se debe preferir una u otra, cada una es diferente. This is " I Am Singer 2017." The show introduced Dimash to the world. I watched the whole show, some of the other singers were very good...but could not touch Dimash. When Dimash appeared on this show he was 22 years old and only spoke Kazakh and Russian. His first four songs were in French, Russian, English ( this song), and Mandarin. The singers were only allowed one week to learn the songs they were to perform for that week. The guy in the black T-shirt in the yellow chair Dimash was fierce and that now he was really stressed. Brian May, of the group Queen, said that Freddie would have been proud of Dimash. Dimash was the first foreigner and the youngest contestant in the show's history. It had been only for professional Chinese singers who had established careers. I hope you react to all of the songs Dimash performed in "Singer 2017." He was beyond amazing. One song he sang while he was ill, Daybreak, and still blew it out of the water. He had lost his voice and had to go to the hospital for throat injections. They said it took him three weeks to fully recover. He never missed one performance.

This is from 2017 when he was invited to compete in a Chinese song competion "Singer " or " I am a singer" More down low. Brian has been aware of Dimash doing this song and he loved it! Dimash sang in english but dident know so mutch english then. We are calling it "Dinglish"...we love how he talkes it to. He is mutch better at it know and talks quite well.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

This competition was about 5 years ago. He's singing in English. His English pronunciation is much better now. If it is a Chinese competition (and I think this one was), there was a rule that the winner had to be from China. He probably knew this. I thought comparing to Freddie's version to Dimash was boring. Both was good but Freddie being the one who wrote it and performed it, Dimash was better. His speech may not be exact but you know what he was saying. He makes every song he sings smoother and connecting. No one can compete with Dimash. His latest songs are not as good as his older songs. Don't know if it is because he is on tour and people copy the songs but they just aren't as good. Hope that changes and he goes back to his innocence version. I do enjoy watching your reactions.

Dimash can screech those high notes, but I have trouble understanding him. Like you, I wasn't sure what language I was hearing. I much prefer Tommy's beautiful, strong voice. I also prefer Dan Vasc's powerful version of this song. Freddie will always be the best, so I'd put Dimash 4th on this one.
