So, like X5, X has multiple endings depending on whether you have Zero or not. If you don't have Zero, Alia is by X's side instead, though Zero still shows up, he's just slightly unnoticed. He says he has something to do, which probably leads into his own ending.
But with that, I am done with this game, and until I get a capture card, I won't be able to do the others. So for now, let's rejoin Classic Mega Man in his first 16-bit adventure in Mega Man 7. __

In case of another crisis, who will everyone turn to? When Zero said, “You don’t need to worry. There is a superior Maverick Hunter.” I felt that. All this time Zero was supposed to be more powerful than X, but by the end it seemed his unlimited potential allowed him to finally surpass Zero’s level (according to Zero). Really shows how the character the player has worked so hard on developing now truly is the most powerful, advanced robot in the world. Go X!

You're comparing X and Zero to Gate .. a mass produced reploid , in the games its clearly stated that X and Zero were beyond the most advanced tech despite being century old relics , Gate was smart but he was still a reploid as in a replica made from trying to copy X , something that was never achieved successfully
This game is soooooooooo hard man. I remember when i played as a innocent kid. This game changed my playstyle. I learnt to accept a defeat and repeat every time.

August 16, there was a date he slept he was suppose to reawaken.

How i see it:
Zero has been found by X, he rejoins him and stays with him during X7, X8 and Command Mission. After Command Mission (which occurs after X8) he seals himself (4:54) and wakes up during the Elf Wars (Megaman Zero).
If Zero is not found, he gets sealed much sooner and basically skips the events from these three mentioned games.
You know that's an excellent theory and it makes a lot of sense

Zero just sealed himself away at some point in the future after the current games besides CM without X's knowledge.

I think the ending without you getting zero is the true ending. Because you getting zero retconned the ending of x5. It's supposed to be 3 years with megaman thinking zero is dead. Not 3 weeks. So with this ending of megaman being hopeful but not knowing for sure if zero is alive, it fits well with x5. (Haven't played x7 or x8 yet. Starting x7 tomorrow. Just beat x6 tonight)
MY THEORY: Zero got the virus here and is afraid of going maverick. He needs to sleep so they can change his body to stop the infection. BUT....in X7, Zero gets woken up because X decided to retire. He goes back to stasis eventually. Then the Rockman Zero series happens.
Ultra Instinct Megaman I feel like there is a time split from x6. Zero puts himself to sleep so they can change his body. If x retires then zero is woken up leading into x7. If x decides to keep going without zero then I believe this will lead into megaman zero.
Well no zero actualy knee that peace wasnt gonna get conquistad while he stays alive so after MMX8 he decide to seal himself and the zero saga happens

I think the MMZ series start after MMX5
+Fukuto Tojido (Lô Hoàng Khôi Nguyên) MMZ should have started after mmx5, where zero would get resurected and repaired, but then he delayed the start of the MMZ series until mmx8 where sigma was canonically. 100% removed.

In the without zero ending (aka the bad ending) it shows zero disappering from x and aile, going into a sleeping capsule for more than 100 years meaning he will wake up sometime around megaman zero explaining why he was asleep at the start

From this, the storyline diverges in two:
1. Zero didn't sleep, and return as a Maverick Hunter alongside X. This is the non-canon ending to the core Megaman universe, but is canon within the X continuity(X7 and X8).
2. Zero wasn't found by X. He later decided to hibernate, and X presumably discovers the Mother Elf, leading to Megaman Zero. According to Tatsuya Minami, this is the canon ending in the core Megaman universe.
Edit: I made a mistake by mentioning Command Mission, which is offically non-canon. It's a 3-years old mistake. My bad.
YPG I like this theory, but do you read the comic of mega man? There is a prove that, X, Axl, and Zero alongside on the cyber elf wars, means whether zero is sleep or not, for x continuity they were going into cyber elf wars tho

So many fans thinks that Zero's ending occurs exactly after the final battle against Sigma, hence leads to people believing that X6 is the last canon game in the series while the fact that it doesn't have to be that way. Again, according to the MMKB, Zero's ending occurs somewhere in the future as the conclusion to the ENTIRE MMX series, therefore allowing X7 & 8 to be canon as well (I have no opinion about Command Mission though)

- Zero was placed in stasis after the end of X6.
- X and Ciel's ancestor created the Mother Elf.
- X deleted the Sigma Virus with Mother Elf.
- Weil created Project Elpizo to strip all Reploids of free will using Mother Elf.
- Weil orchestrated a large-scale conflict using the Mother Elf (now Dark Elf) to turn Reploids into Mavericks, earning the human government's support.
- Weil stole Zero's body and turn it into Omega.
- Zero's consciousness was transferred to a new body and was resurrected by X.
- X and Zero captured the Dark Elf and used her power to turn the tide of battle.
- Weil unleashed Omega and countless Golems to the world, wiping out 60% of humanity and 90% of Reploids.
- X and Zero defeats Omega, and the war ends.
- After Omega was sealed and Weil was exiled, Zero returned to stasis while X founded Neo Arcadia and became its ruler.
- A hundred years later, X sacrificed his body to seal the Dark Elf while his consciousness became a Cyber-Elf. A copy of him, created by Ciel, then took the throne and became the tyrannical ruler of Neo Arcadia.
- 2 years later, Mega Man Zero starts.
Also regarding Model A. I know that Model A is a homage to Axl (color scheme, A-Trans, and all that), but it was never stated that Axl is the template. Model A got its name from its creator, Albert. So unless canonically proven otherwise, Model A is not Axl.

megaman x6 is always the best megaman game in my heart, have many armor for x, you can play as black and purple zero, have multiple ending, cool opening and ending songs, best BGM soundtracks in every area, this game is almost perfect if gaea armor included

And it doesn't make sense how sigma came back in X7 when in X6 he looked like he was gone for good hell zero and X kept saying,"that this is the last time we'll allow to you rise sigma"! In x6 it feels like this is the last time we see sigma.

Don Random MomozAZar No Sigma had to be truly dead in X6 because this was all that was left of him from that fight from X5. Both X and Zero said this is the last time you'll rise sigma meaning that this is the last time they allowed to him comeback. Also Sigma's return in X7 doesn't make sense as to how he came when X and Zero finished him off here remember he still hasn't recovered completely from X5. Besides this felt like sigma was gone for good even the music felt like a final boss. Besides Axl isn't even canon( though he's a cool ass character I thought he was because of model a in Zx advent but no capcom even said it themselves that he's just a homage and the model A is Albert not Axl) I think Zero's ending in X6 most likely at least takes a couple years later after the battle with sigma. Besides it doesn't make sense to have X8 be the end when he came back in the late end to the maverick wars into the elf wars taking place into the zero series where Sigma was truly gone from X using the power of the mother elf to kill both Wily and sigma for good.
Ryoma The Peerless Samurai command mission is a spin off just outside the main series. They should have made X7 and X8 look canon cause from it's appearance it doesn't look like it. Axl being canon is still in discussion. To me the Zero series takes place After X6.

If you beat the game with Zero it also ends with him going to sleep. However, they never give a timeline on when he 'actually' went to sleep. So theoretically, he could have gone to sleep after the events of 7 and 8.

There's PC versions for both MMX7 and MMX8. The former is a korean version, with a translation patch, while the later were released in english all fine.
