    I have the rift zone e2 140mm travel Ep801
Its a absolute rocket ship on the trails and when it gets steep it climbs like a goat and decends like one too . Irs so planted yiu can really go way to fast all the time.
I was getting worlds best strava times on some trails last year when i was riding it every other day just aim and point it into a corner and it will get around every time.
Few issues but for the price well worth the money

When was the last time before this you rode an enduro bike with meaty tires and cushcore front a rear? I wonder how much that was the reason for the planted feeling and speed through rough?
Be interesting to experiment with lighter trail tyres

The bottom shock linkage definitely moved forward for a coil. Nice bike! I've had a few Marin bikes in my time, and they've always been good. This time, I went for the Cube Action Team 160. I was just curious about it, but I would definitely get another one in a second! However, my next bike is going to have the belt drive. I just got the 2024 Cube, so it will be a while. I'll give it time to iron out the issues on belt drives and the autoshifts anyway. Or add even better features! This is my first ebike so glad I waited till now to get one with the 4th Gen smart system from Bosch the earlier bikes just didn't take my fancy one bit with the camble back battery mounted on and the massive buldge afterthought of "Oh we forgot it has a motor to go in" looking frames haha!

That bottom bracket just looks like it is going to hit something standing still.

Its very stable, on descents, no bottom bracket hitting anything...

A little late on the commenting here. I absolutely love the Marin E2 look of the old bike with the Shimano motor. This thing is giving Rocky Mountain a run for ugliest emountain bike ever built, a total backwards move from them. I heard sales are so bad they scrapped it already.

How does it compare to the Merida 875 E One Sixty?

Very similar, I have one of those on test.

    That's one big-boned bike.

Maybe they should of offered it stock with the 635W battery for better value/weight with an upcharge for the 750W for those that wanted it. The angle of the motor pointing slightly down just looks wrong and no one wants a 60lbs+ emtb when the entire market is going lighter, well maybe not Norco lol Cheers on your review 😎

It rides really good, so I would say weight is not what you think it is in reality on teh trail. thanks for watching. Alex

Looks a Bit of a Lump,All this Bigger is Better is Not what a Lot of People Want,Why Ride a Tank of a Bike at 26KG When one at 20Kg is More like a Bicycle ?
If You go to Bike Parks You Dont Need an E Bike at all.Lighter is Always Better Even Just if You Have to Lift it over a Fence,I Tried That With Mine at 26.5kg and it Was Not Fun at all.

Maybe hit the gym if you can't even lift 26kgs without effort.
