Simon and Martina's videos have improved so much over the years and the content they make now in Japan is amazing, but there's just nothing like the nostalgia of going back watching these older Korean food videos. I first found the channel after the first time I had to drop out of college for good ol' chronic illness reasons and binged all of the FAPFAPs twice over in a week, and every time I return to them it's just so comforting. Plus it got me into Korean food and helped me develop Mega Spice Tolerance :P
Rewatching this is now just shows you how much people change, and how you never know where life will end up. Cherish the times you have, and be the best version of yourself always.
I have been a fan of yours for a couple of years now and truly appreciate your insights into (South) Korean culture and wish you and Hyunwoo Sun the best when you open the cafe. That alone is enough to inspire me to visit Seoul some day. On a totally unrelated matter, what is the music that is playing while you are eating?
I had to walk with crutches for four weeks and I'd really like to thank this video (or rather Martina) for giving me the idea to wrap oven mits around them, saved my Hands to be honest ^^
I've actually had some GREAT Korean food in Toronto. The best mulnaengmyeon I ever had was in North York. Lots of other Korean food in Toronto isn't great, but sometimes you come across something awesome :D
+Simon and Martina I love how you guys still respond to comments and thank people for making subtitles on videos that are years old. I haven't seen any you-tubers with that level of dedication to their fan base!
Very big thanks from me too! I am just learning German and I wanted to revisit some of the old videos and ... SURPRISE! German subtitles! I am so thankful! It could not be any more awesome! 🥳🥳🥳 Sending much love to everyone!
I'm a very picky eater and Korean food has a lot of things in their food that I would never think about eating but every time I see any type of Korean food, my mouth starts to water and all I can think about is how delicious it looks.
Not sure about anyone else but it helps me to watch stuff like this when I can't eat them. I'm not on a "diet" for weight loss, but for allergy restrictions.
Thank you guys so much for posting videos like this. My grandpa just passed away this week (his funeral was yesterday), and it's hit my family and the community pretty hard because everyone was very close to him. But I just wanted to thank you for brightening my day as much as you did. You guys are so funny and cute, and I hope you continue to post for years to come. Seriously, I want to see these videos when you're well into your eighties. Thank you. And Martina, I love your earrings.
Okay so this is bothering me...back in 2003 I went to a Korean restaurant and had this reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally delicious soup. My friends were Korean so they ordered it for me. It was almost like this really tender meat-block (was it a beef?) That was in a spicy broth. Unfortunately that's all I can remember...thank you EYK for reminding me of that awesome meal
More than likely it was a short rib, not to be mistaken for korean short rib which is more flat but still good. If it was anything similar to what Simon had in the video. Cook the stuff often in sinigang sampalok and it's really good, but super fatty. It has the best combo of fat and connective tissue which makes for super soft meat.
The taste is quite different Korean restaurants in both Korean and US. I`m visiting in U.S several months. I`ve been Korean restaurants in California, the taste is quite good. But, the foods in Korea is better that I think!! I give some tips to you guys. Finding SHABBY restaurants. Most of time, those kinds of restaurants are quite better than cleaned one! Visit Korean and Just try the local-ish style!
Do all broths have pork bones (or whatever you guys said about the broth)? I'm Muslim and I will be visiting Korea after school ends and we can't eat anything that has pork
I was having a SERIOUSLY bad day, but I couldn't help but laugh when you do the segment of eating the food. You two are GREAT!! :) Thanks for cheering me up!
When I first watched you guys, I thougt you were college students making kpop videos in Simons home which would be in Canada and were very best friends. but after I saw one of your interview videos, I think it was... UKiss? You guys said you were married, and after that. Everything about your videos changed. I dont know why. Then you guys started to look older and aged. and I fell in love with your videos more. YOU GUYS INSPIRE ME TO KEEP BEING AN KOREA ADDICT. THANKS.
OMG! the endless amount of Kimchi just made this restaurant my favorite restaurant forever (although I've never been there, nor to korea... yes.. sad) Kimchiiii ♥
UGHHHHH I'm Korean and im stuck in Nashville, TN and GODDDD I was drooling all over my keyboard looking at this ;^; ohhh how i miss korean food!!! >____
Ooohhhh.... I like this! I would like to see more Korean foods, shops and restaurants. :) It is awesome! The doorbell thing seems great too. I wish they were here in the USA. I love your videos, but I want to see more of the people. :) unfortunately people might not like it if you randomly go to them. Haha
feel better soon martina >:D I felt sooo hungry after i watched this. I normally dont like soup too much but that looks delicious~ thanks for showing us guys :)
wrong thing ive did while watching food adventure was not having something to snack on but now ive learned my lesson and brought something to snack on so i dont have to be tease by you guys simon and martina lol...
My sister recently fractured her ankle too. Here are some tips from nurses and friends in T.O.: 1) 2-finger rule - Measure approx. 2 fingers from your armpit to the top pads. Crutches should be straight & need to touch the top of your ribcage. Most of your weight should be supported by the side of your ribcage, not by your armpits or your hands. 2) Arms should be slightly bent. Change the height of the hand pads for better comfort. 3) Up stairs - Good foot, crutch. Down stairs crutch, good foot.
Thanks to you guys I am now thoroughly obsessed with Korean Spicy Soup and when I can't eat it I watch the video over and over 8''''''''''''''''''''''''''D;;;;
@komadorii koreans drink with water (free), and other drinks are ordered separately. Many Koreans however, don't drink a LOT while eating because they think it's gonna prevent the food from getting digested properly (diluting stomach acid)
Watching this not only made me hungy... I also relived my crutches days as well! Oh how I remember the pain in the hands caused by the crutches, its almost worse than the pain of the injury after a while XD
Seolleongtang is my all-time favorite Korean dish. I could eat it every single day... It's a delicious hot mess. I was drooling through pretty much this whole video. lol
There so many Korean restaurant in Annandale Va and Centerville Va and i wish i had a good Korean friend to take me and help me order. Because i see that soup simon is having but i wonder how spicy it is.. but it looks amazing.
i always think, "i dont like meat and vegetables" because i dont, but then i see korean food and im like OMG I GOTTA HAVE THAT! LOOKS SO GOOOOOD! like this >.
more WANK videos please! I just love them so much^^ I'll definitivly hit you guys up if I ever visit Korea one day. You guys are so funny and kewl, so cool that's it's spelled "kewl" lmfao
@nicavolante many Korean side dishes are made with vegetables, but since most Koreans eat that at home also, they consider "going out to spend money on vegetarian dishes" a bit impractical. hence why most Korean places have food with meat or have grills for barbeque. FYI. there are vegetarian restaurants but not many (and are western influenced or made to attract western customers)
you guys are making me hungry just watching you eat. it's midnight. i shouldn't eat right now. WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME SO HUNGRY SIMON AND MARTINA?!?!?!?! ^_^ hahaha
The old times before simon lost his razor...... Oh how times have changed~~~~
fiesillys babyface Simon
Simon and Martina's videos have improved so much over the years and the content they make now in Japan is amazing, but there's just nothing like the nostalgia of going back watching these older Korean food videos. When you binge on all their food videos from the very beginning... 💖
Rewatching this is now just shows you how much people change, and how you never know where life will end up.
Cherish the times you have, and be the best version of yourself always.
I come to these videos for Martina but I stay for these videos FOR MARTINA.
When Simon was skipping in the beginning, I died😂
Tasnim Yasmine knowing me if I was Martina I would have smacked Simon in the ass hard with a crutch
I had to walk with crutches for four weeks and I'd really like to thank this video (or rather Martina) for giving me the idea to wrap oven mits around them, saved my Hands to be honest ^^
im korean american, so i eat korean food and have many korean restaurants around me, but nothing compares to korea's
I've actually had some GREAT Korean food in Toronto. The best mulnaengmyeon I ever had was in North York. Lots of other Korean food in Toronto isn't great, but sometimes you come across something awesome :D
Eat Your Kimchi i live in yonge & finch area but none of korean restaurant here can be comparison at all to korea's lol
Eat Your Kimchi Best MulNaengMyeon I ever had was in Ktown LA at Chosun Galbi. The taste is unlike any MulNaengMyeon I've ever had. Incredible.
I'm Korean/American and I love Korean foods.
Hey +Cin Dy: you're awesome! Thank you for making German subtitles!
+Simon and Martina I love how you guys still respond to comments and thank people for making subtitles on videos that are years old. I haven't seen any you-tubers with that level of dedication to their fan base!
Hey Martina, was your ankle breaking attributed to your EDS? I would assume it had something to do with it? but maybe not
+Simon and Martina
Very big thanks from me too! I am just learning German and I wanted to revisit some of the old videos and ... SURPRISE! German subtitles! I am so thankful! It could not be any more awesome! 🥳🥳🥳 Sending much love to everyone!
Meat soup edition is sooo much fun!
I use this as a motivator to study. If I finish a lecture, I can reward myself by watching Simon and Martina eat delicious food!
Can you guys do a video on Korean curry? That would be awesome!
I'm a very picky eater and Korean food has a lot of things in their food that I would never think about eating but every time I see any type of Korean food, my mouth starts to water and all I can think about is how delicious it looks.
Poor Martina can't skip with Simon this time. XD
total throw back! rewatching all of these videos
Aww yeah!
Why am I watching this when I'm on a diet. What is wrong with me.
Not sure about anyone else but it helps me to watch stuff like this when I can't eat them. I'm not on a "diet" for weight loss, but for allergy restrictions.
xMooM00x go out and eat some korean food
I feel your pain
Thank you guys so much for posting videos like this.

You can ask your friends.

Cook the stuff often in sinigang sampalok and it's really good, but super fatty. It has the best combo of fat and connective tissue which makes for super soft meat.
In all the years I've been watching you guys I've never stumbled upon a video I haven't seen until now!
The taste is quite different Korean restaurants in both Korean and US.
I`m visiting in U.S several months. I`ve been Korean restaurants in California, the taste is quite good. But, the foods in Korea is better that I think!!

I never noticed this but... Simon and Martina never get drinks. Unless they get soju, they never have water or something. Is that a Korean thing?
I was having a SERIOUSLY bad day, but I couldn't help but laugh when you do the segment of eating the food. You two are GREAT!! :) Thanks for cheering me up!

I guess I am the only one who finds it funny when the eatyourkimchi couple eat kimchi in their video? : D
Who else is just drooling watching them eat ?
For some reason, meat soup actually sounds like the best and most appetizing thing right now. But then again, I'm extremely odd, so, makes sense.
i love watching your guys' videos so much, even though i'm vegetarian :) it's still super interesting and entertaining!
It looks so delicious!!!!!! That kimchi and the dumplings....Now i'm really hungry, that always happens to me when i see korean food -drooling-
What is that music started at 1:15 when Martina was walking through the parking lot and Simon start dancing in front of her?
