The Art of Documentary is nothing new. But is it the best way to make money as a filmmaker in 2025? I believe so.
I have made $100.000 on client documentaries alone over the last year. As a filmmaker, I have grown tired of short-format content that grabs attention on Social Media. I have been looking for a way to integrate documentaries into my client work.
How can a documentary enhance the brand of a company? How can it create value to the company? And how can you communicate this to your clients?
Making money as a filmmaker in 2025 will be easier with this approach. By selling more stories and more internal productions you will stand out and make a strong case with your clients when pitching your next project.

Inspiring! Thanks. 😎😎
Man I think this was much needed for me to see/hear you’ve also gained a subscriber
Love hearing that! Thanks for watching!
Yes, this is exactly the kind of video I celebrate with you. There is a lot of valuable information here in terms of documentation. Great work!
Thank you very much for your ideas and input. It made me realize what kind of content I want to make more of. There will probably be some reviews here and there, but what you said changed my perspective!
Thank you!
@@kriswarwick I'm really glad to hear that and I wish you all the best with YT. I will support you as an individual.
Of course, I enjoyed watching your gear review like the one with the Q3, because you showed a lot of sample images from your work and talked from practical experience. That was valuable.
@tobis2265 thanks! It's def harder to make it with these videos as they don't have the same click ratio, but I do believe it's valuable content. Thanks again. I have your whole list in a document for future videos, so stay tuned!
@@kriswarwick I understand bro, try to combine it somehow. The gear reviews certainly bring more clicks, but just add real added value from practice. i think this also sets you apart from the mass of classic “gear reviews”. People are fed up with influencers who make things sound good and haven't used them in real life.
I mean you are independent of TH-cam and all the sponsors, you make good money with your self-employment. Take advantage of this independence to really do what you enjoy. Just making boring videos that bring in the clicks will only lead to burnout in the end.
@tobis2265 I love the help you've given me. You've def motivated me and helped me find my direction here!
Wonderful thoughts and learning material 😄🔥
Thanks, dude!
Awesome video! I smashed that subscribe button ;)
Thanks dude!
