One thing I've always appreciated about Nick's videos is that when the content touches on a sensitive topic, he makes sure to address it up front and provide resources for the audience. And even though some of the humor referenced the domestic violence of the movie he was reviewing, he was never punching down.
I'm sorry to say in the books this plot is actually that he lied about a gps tracker being a birth control implant and that's how she got pregnant so that's the big secret instead of keeping secret that she lost the pregancy. So. They tried to make it less terrible but not very hard.
They kept him problematic but not a rapist in case it became too messed up or anything (hijacking someone's body to get them pregnant without their consent is equal to rape).

What actually happens in the book is that Laura is pregnant through the whole thing. She never miscarried. At the end, when she is shot, Massimo has to decide between her life and the fetus' life. Also yeah, growing up in Poland (Eastern Europe in general) was very different than in the west. And the translation was off, it wasn't jello, the closest American equivalent I can think of is Kool Aid powder yet another thing I have to say. The government is trying to denounce the "Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence" and implemented an almost complete ban on abortion, so yeah, it is bad to have an uterus in Poland
Also, they kept translating kurwa (I think that’s how you spell it) to “shit”. I though it meant “fuck”. Just something small that irked me. Maybe it’s different depending on the context?…

So many ways this could’ve been better. We know Laura was afraid to tell Massimo she’d lost a pregnancy. What if she finally summoned up the nerve to tell him, but later scenes made it feel like he was in denial or had forgotten, only to realize she’d told the twin. Then he drops the reveal in the final standoff to shock Massimo and rob Laura of the chance to tell him herself.
Okay the first time I ever heard of this movie was from this train conductor who was hitting on me after work. I felt uncomfortable cuz I'm a young teacher (who constantly gets mistaken for as a student) and he seemed really interested in me and was talking about movies he's been watching. Then he mentioned this movie 365 Days and described the plot and I remember feeling so freakin uncomfortable the whole time, especially as a survivor or SA, whew baby...older men sure be creepy..

My friends and I watched it. The cinematography was terrible, dialogue was worse and it was basically 1 hour of music videos then 50 minutes of trying to find the plot.

No, they went for the much less obvious route, and just skipped over it, like "Oh, yeah...they both survived. She's conveniently not pregnant anymore, so it's time for Massimo to repeatedly ram her in the womb again!"

So many ways this could’ve been better. We know Laura was afraid to tell Massimo she’d lost a pregnancy. What if she finally summoned up the nerve to tell him, but later scenes made it feel like he was in denial or had forgotten, only to realize she’d told the twin. Then he drops the reveal in the final standoff to shock Massimo and rob Laura of the chance to tell him herself.

Okay the first time I ever heard of this movie was from this train conductor who was hitting on me after work. I felt uncomfortable cuz I'm a young teacher (who constantly gets mistaken for as a student) and he seemed really interested in me and was talking about movies he's been watching. Then he mentioned this movie 365 Days and described the plot and I remember feeling so freakin uncomfortable the whole time, especially as a survivor or SA, whew baby...older men sure be creepy..

Honestly, if the plot of the movie were that the sexy gardener were a nice guy (as in an actual nice guy, not a "Nice Guy") that was genuinely trying to help her escape from her abuser and wasn't holding her hostage without her knowledge and they both fell in love naturally and ended up together in the end, I would like this movie a lot more...

My friends and I watched it. The cinematography was terrible, dialogue was worse and it was basically 1 hour of music videos then 50 minutes of trying to find the plot.
