I just pretend that Laura met Mossimo online in a BDSM chat room and they planned this out a year in advance as part of an elaborate fantasy/excuse for Laura to leave her loser boyfriend and everything is cool and consensual and fresh. It was the only way I could get through the movie.
Bro you know how easy that would have been to set up? And would have been so much more interesting! They could have done it where Laura was talking to this mystery chat room guy and plans to met him on her trip and the reason she looks around like that is because she’s keeping an eye out for chat room guy and then when she gets kidnapped we find out he’s chat room guy so she’s like pretty into it but also scared.

Sadly it's worse if I remember right it is based on a series of polish novels that I believe were fan fiction of fifty shades. So we are talking about fan fiction of fan fiction of a poorly written YA paranormal romance books. We are way down the rabbit hole.
@@stephennootens916 Ok, so what I'm getting from this is: First came Twilight, a story about a girl who fell in love with a guy who stalks her and openly talks about wanting to kill her because he's a vampire. Then came 50 shades, a Twilight fanfic with sexual coercion and abusive behaviour disguised as BDSM. And if that wasn't bad enough, there's 365 days, a story about a mobster who downright kidnaps woman and sexually assaults her (among so many other messed up things). It's like a curse. I feel like someone will eventually write a 365 days fanfic with an even worse romance.
As a trafficking survivor, movies like this not only make me incredibly mad, but also just makes me feel really hopeless 😒 I don't know if most people are just totally unaware how common trafficking is or what, but it's a major issue and it hurts people find trauma to be a sexy plot device. At least we get a funny video from you out of it though, I do really enjoy them and it's nice to see movies like this ragged on.
Thank God you're alive. I've been a part of anti-trafficking ministries so I know it's incredibly rare for survivors to make it out. I'm so glad you're okay and I'm so sorry you experienced that.
The scene that disturbed me the most was the scene on the plane where the stewardess was giving him oral. It was really aggressive and she had tears in her eyes, and it was supposed to be portrayed as sexy. But everything about it was violent. And that’s when I knew this movie would be garbage.
Yes!!! I have never seen this movie and refuse to waste my brain cells on it. But the few scene trailers I have watched on TH-cam, that stewardess one triggered me hardcore. Poland sincerely apologises for "365 Days". We do not condone smut penned by ex brothel madames turned celebrities. To our defence, we also had a polish feminist writer win a literary Nobel Prize for 2018. It's a very dichotomic country.
As an italian I can confirm that we have no beef with polish people. We have beef with a lot of people. But not polish people. Also the leaning tower of Pisa is, in fact, in Pisa. The colosseum is in Rome, so it is correct.

Literally the only reason this movie is loved by so many is because of the "hot" actor playing Massimo, if Massimo was old, fat or ugly we'd be getting just another thriller/horror movie. Some fun facts: - Laura's is the author's (Blanka Lipinska) self-insert in the books (as well as in the movie), the whole hair change happens so Laura would look just like her. Blanka was even in the movie, the woman that gets married & Laura goes to her wedding. - In the books Massimo hates tattoos & says they're only for convicts (Laura adores them when it comes to her men), they clearly tried to win over the female audience even more by casting an actor covered in tattoos. - Laura faints probably over 20 times just in the first book, all because Blanka didn't have an idea how else to end scenes & teleport her heroine places, Laura's weak heart doesn't really bring anything to the story. - The books are even worse than the movie, the most boring mafia romance to ever exist. Not to mention how many times Blanka tries to pass r*pe as romantic, consensual s*x. - The actor that played Massimo also wrote & sang the songs from the soundtrack. :D Loved your video on the movie! The real horror is they plan on making 2 more movies. :x

So like, straight up, I thought that he was watching her on the beach at the beginning and attributes his survival to seeing her? I thought the whole beach watching thing would be important. He always remembered the beauty from the beach and that's why he hunted her down. Not that God told him to find a 5'3" brunette and kidnap her until she loves him. Every time he says "are you lost, baby gworl" I let out an ugly snort that I can't help lmfao This shit was awful. I'm glad I didn't have that on my Netflix history lmao (watched TH-cam reviews I came across)
I kind of want to see a parody of these types of romance films in which the kidnapper keeps trying to prove how bad he is while the girl is still treating this as a romantic fantasy because she's watched one too many of these movies. She keeps flirting with the kidnapper, who is weirded out that his serious kidnapping isn't being taken seriously.
The only reason this movie did not cause a huge controversy is because he’s hot. Put fucking idk john malkovich as Massimo and everyone would be pissed. It’s so weird, the movie sends disgusting messages and portrays weird fetishes like kidnap play Stockholm play? (I don’t know what it’s called) but the only reason why some people can overlook it is because the actor is attractive...
The girls in my class love this movie... like tf, how? I hate the fact that it romanticizes kidnapping etc. it’s really not a great example to show teenagers :/
I’ve seen so many teens on tumblr saying they wished to be kidnapped so they can fall in love with them, when in reality most kidnap victims are trafficked or killed. It’s really disturbing how Hollywood glorifies things like mental illness and crime
It’s the fact that she was a strong woman and a secretary at the beginning of the movie but now her character got weak and we never see her career 🤦🏾♀️. Her massimo hired her almost at the end she could’ve been his secretary
My bestfriend, who loved this movie, said that Laura's life was shitty before hot gangster dude came along so the kidnapping wasn't that bad. When I say I am appalled-
I hoped that Laura was the sniper and she fell into a long con to take down the mafia but that's definitely not what happens in the books apparently. Disappointing!!
This has probably been said before, but if Massimo was unattractive, this would be a horror movie/Criminal Minds episode. Also, I want to add a warning to anyone who wants to watch this movie for the 'so bad it's good' factor: if you have been through any sort of abusive relationship, DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! I know the term 'triggering' has been thrown around a lot and lost its meaning, but there's really not a better way to describe it. Stick to the TH-cam reviews and then watch The Room or Troll 2 (the 1980s movie, not the recent one that's actually about trolls). You'll have a much better time.
I think the ending is supposed to be the message? Like, "don't fall in love with hot Italian gangsters when they kidnap you. Otherwise you'll die in a tunnel." That seems to be the message to me.
I NEED YOU TO KNOW SOMETHING, DUDE. I have passed on so many of these 365 Days reviews because after I saw one (weeks ago) I was like “Okay, I don’t think anyone can really tell me anything new about it.” BUT YOU- you have proven to me that you have such great insight into movie making that I knew a 45 minute video from you is going to bring more to the table!!!! :) so glad I subbed!
This movie shows exactly what happens when you move a fantasy situation into the real world. Keep your ‘kidnapped by a hot criminal’ fanfics fantasies in your head people cos when you put it on the big screen it really highlights how yucky the whole thing is.
I've read somewhere that in book 2, laura gets kidnapped AGAIN and falls "in love" with her new kidnapper (whose name is "nacho" btw) AGAIN and continues to until book 3.... 🥴
Is the person who wrote this okay?? Like, do they need help?? I wrote a story like this because I was in an abusive relationship for 3-4 years Is this a cry for help oml--
i had friends that really liked this movie but when i went to go watch it it was horrifying how is kidnapping and forcing someone to love you , romantic or kinky i don't care if i sound "vanilla" , but with that kind of plot , that's freaking disturbing
Right?! My friends love it but wtf lads, Massimo knows literally nothing about women it's horrendous, abusive and terrifyingly manipulative and at no point is it actually a good film.
Generally when Laura changed her haircut it's because after that, she was similar to the author of book and the whole story, and all that idea was her own fantasy, she (author) openly said that for her every women have fantasies about being rap*ed in some way :|
yeah she’s on her own on that “every women wants to be raped” shit and also surely if you wanted to be raped it wouldn’t be rape because you’d want it? idk how that works
I discovered you from your Shane video, and honestly I’m so in love with your personality :D I feel like we would be best friends in another dimension where I’m your neighbor.
this isnt just a bad movie, its a dangerous one. framing a trafficker as a sexy protagonist when their target audience is young girls and women is so evil, wrong, & immoral. netflix should take this down
If I was in her situation, I wouldn’t shower, I wouldn’t make myself look nice. I’d make myself as undesirable as possible. Also: I adore that you gave your plant a kiss ❤️
NO. Do not romanticise Stockholm syndrome. At all. Never. WHY ARE PEOPLE ACTING LIKE THIS IS ONLY MILDLY PROBLEMATIC??? This would be removed and deleted
Is it ever explained whether Laura was actually at the beach the day Massimo is shot or did he just happen to hallucinate a woman who actually exists in a completely different country.
Theory: they have to leave things like the actual kidnapping up to imagination because actually showing a brutal kidnapping would make it (even) harder to convince women massimo is the main love interest 🤢
i already HATED this film but i recently saw a clip of the main guy who plays massimo or whatever tf, bashing dakota johnson on an instagram live and it made my blood BOIL
After rewatching the movie I think I figured out the moral of the storyline: don't fall in love with a super sexy yet creepy AF kidnapper that calls u baby girl cuz you'll only end up dead in the end...great movie right?
No we were supposed to be happy she died so there isn’t no 365 days 2 and 3 and so on. But nah. This is gonna be a trash trilogy, For the first time, I wish Disney goes buy 365 days and ruins it
Okay but Laura reuniting with her friend could have been really cool if it had led to anything other than a makeover montage. Like the idea of painting one half of the movie as upbeat to the point of saccharine, only for the tone to suddenly shift as Laura finally has contact with the outside world and realizes the gravity of the situation could have been an interesting way to explore Stockholm syndrome. Or perhaps her friend could have been the one to point out that Laura was in a bad and dangerous situation, and the conflict could have turned into trying to snap Laura out of this toxic mindset.
Can I just say this is not representative of the BDSM community everything done in the bdsm community is consensual and should never involve nonconsensually having sex kidnapping or abusing anyone. While consensual non consent is a kink that many women enjoy as well as consensual kidnapping this movie on perpetuates misogyny because there was no consent given by Laura prior to her meeting with Massimo. Please don't kink shame and please don't walk away from this movie with the feeling that the kink community condones misogyny or rape in any way. The author was irresponsible by letting this movie go mainstream where it could be seen by people who aren't into kink and have no interest in it and had only thought it was a thriller to be then without consent thrown into this horrible softcore porn.

@@ArturGlass.C i do believe that some fanfiction can be genuinely brilliant and deserve praise if written well and has a great plot, so some could be paid if their work is just as good as big regular fictional novels. however, because it's such a vast genre (if you can call it a genre) with so many people of all ages writing fanfiction, the good stuff is usually hidden by the tons and tons of shit :/
I just pretend that Laura met Mossimo online in a BDSM chat room and they planned this out a year in advance as part of an elaborate fantasy/excuse for Laura to leave her loser boyfriend and everything is cool and consensual and fresh. It was the only way I could get through the movie.
If only they had made it a plot twist or backstory
that would’ve been a MUCH BETTER plot point
That's what I was thinking would've been an interesting plot twist
Bro you know how easy that would have been to set up? And would have been so much more interesting! They could have done it where Laura was talking to this mystery chat room guy and plans to met him on her trip and the reason she looks around like that is because she’s keeping an eye out for chat room guy and then when she gets kidnapped we find out he’s chat room guy so she’s like pretty into it but also scared.
Consenting to being choked a treated badly doesn't make the bad actions go away. Just like consenting to smoke doesn't make the health risks any less
Of all the upsetting things in this movie, the choice to have Massimo use "baby girl" as his term of endearment is the most upsetting. SIR, YOU SPEAK ITALIAN, ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LANGUAGES IN THE WORLD.
I would’ve preferred if he called her “columba mea” or “la mia colomba”. Or literally anything else.
This movie felt like the director thought “what if we did fifty shades of gray but added human trafficking?”

I'm a sexual abuse survivor and I saw red. I would have bit his prick off and then spit it at him. This disgusting soft porn BS was despicable.
i was so disgusted by that. And they made it like she enjoyed it wtf. It hella disturb me
@@azula9830oh!sister!oh!sister! if the scene in the movie disturbed you, then the context of the book would literally mentally obliterate you! here's a brief description of massimo's thoughts while receiving oral(at this point you're only 3 pages in to this train wreck):AH!YES.I loved it when her eyes snapped wide in terror .when she was helpless against my power." also there's this part where he acknowledges that the air hostess' nails are pressing against his legs in order to get him to stop, ,implying that the stewardess WASN'T in fact ,enjoying it,and he liked that she was suffering.

I was crying while watching the movie because I wasn’t expecting that
Literally the only reason this movie is loved by so many is because of the "hot" actor playing Massimo, if Massimo was old, fat or ugly we'd be getting just another thriller/horror movie.
Some fun facts:
- Laura's is the author's (Blanka Lipinska) self-insert in the books (as well as in the movie), the whole hair change happens so Laura would look just like her.
Loved your video on the movie!
The real horror is they plan on making 2 more movies. :x
Yuck! Just like the stupid “50 shades of grey” crap they put out! BOO
@@jenniferhurd9504 they're worse than FSOG, way more toxic. The author wanted to be the next EL James, so she just copied every plot point from FS and called it a day.
Hmmmm is that why Laura has the same initials only reversed? L. B. And B.L 👀
@@JB-kr3xz Probably 😂 I wouldn't put it past Blanka at this point, the whole thing is just a big fantasy for her.
Just Another Perfectionist xx hahahah that’s just crazy. I mean I don’t think we would care if the books and movie were good but...instead we got this 😬
Sequel: Mossimo’s mob is systematically being hunted down by an unknown assassin, turns out to be Laura who’s not dead but actually secretly plotted her own fake death to escape. Equally makes no sense, but with horror badassery
Imagine how cool this movie would have been if, when she gets her computer back, she's trying to get help and having to encode messages and try to tell people where she is without her captor knowing. That would have been SO much better than this weird abuse fantasy
Tbh watching 2 hours of a regular person *just* doing actual coding, uninterrupted save for the occasional throat clearing or sip of soda, would have been better than this weird abuse fantasy😫
Soooooo I just looked up the plot for the second book because I was like wtf could possibly happen next this shit was crazy enough, turns out there’s more crazy shit that includes a heart transplant and Massimo’s evil twin brother who’s British and then Laura gets kidnaped by another dude who’s mob name is Nacho and she ends up falling in love with him to.😂😂😂!! God why do heterosexuals have weird romance stories
Lollll waaaaait that’s so much happenings why does it require such to effort to make that story interesting

This is not a heterosexual romance story. This is what bored soccer moms with frost bitten bed fantasize about happening to them because they got married right out of college instead of being single long enough to realize guys the ones in this story would have killed them and disposed of them bodies 2 hours into this girls snotty behavior.

Would have even liked if instead she fell for a body guard who is trying to help her escape, while also keeping them both alive since Massimo' family has such deep roots wherever they are.
That would've been a better movie.
Also Massimo learns that Laura & the bodyguard have become lovers he kills the bodyguard & to make matters worse Laura became pregnant with the bodyguard's child. She was so devastated that her heart condition couldn't take it so in a Romeo & Juliet type of style the two lovers die together. It’d be cool if there was a final scene showing that Laura faked her death with her friend’s help and escaped to live under a new identity where she meets a nice woman that she marries and together they raise Laura’s child and never go back to Italy again.
Yes!!!!!!! He should start doing green screen scenes to act out parts that he says should've happened.
“Okay Disney channel original movie”

The only reason this movie did not cause a huge controversy is because he’s hot. Put fucking idk john malkovich as Massimo and everyone would be pissed. It’s so weird, the movie sends disgusting messages and portrays weird fetishes like kidnap play Stockholm play? (I don’t know what it’s called) but the only reason why some people can overlook it is because the actor is attractive...
He wished he has Malkovich.
Una2 lol
That’s pretty privilege for ya. Which I can tell you, is very real.
Malkovich would play him like the kidnapping abuser he is, so there's that...
He's not even hot though
The girls in my class love this movie... like tf, how? I hate the fact that it romanticizes kidnapping etc. it’s really not a great example to show teenagers :/
I’ve seen so many teens on tumblr saying they wished to be kidnapped so they can fall in love with them, when in reality most kidnap victims are trafficked or killed. It’s really disturbing how Hollywood glorifies things like mental illness and crime
This is why these movies are supposed to be 18+
This movie’s target audience is adult women.😀
@@theoverratedchannel6225 That doesnt excuse glorifying kidnapping. Also, teenagers watch adult movies all the time
Can you.. Um.. Get out from that class?? Or at least ask to change your classroom?
It’s the fact that she was a strong woman and a secretary at the beginning of the movie but now her character got weak and we never see her career 🤦🏾♀️. Her massimo hired her almost at the end she could’ve been his secretary
My bestfriend, who loved this movie, said that Laura's life was shitty before hot gangster dude came along so the kidnapping wasn't that bad. When I say I am appalled-
i CAN'T STOP THINKING OF HIM DIVING INTO THE BUSHES DESPERATELY KMALSKMDLSKMDSA
The bullet came from the heavens. I almost spat my water out in laughter
I hoped that Laura was the sniper and she fell into a long con to take down the mafia but that's definitely not what happens in the books apparently. Disappointing!!
God was aiming for him but accidentally hit his dad instead
no it was spy tf2 who killed him he was cloaked the entire time and his plan was to dismantle the mafia
Troll 2 is a life-changer.
I never understood how people find massimo attractive, he looks like your typical casanova douchebag.
They’re eating her! And then they’re going to eat ME! Oh my gaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhd!!!
ngl when she was accidentally pushed off the boat into the ocean, I laughed like a seal
I think the ending is supposed to be the message? Like, "don't fall in love with hot Italian gangsters when they kidnap you. Otherwise you'll die in a tunnel." That seems to be the message to me.
this movie gives me aggressive flashbacks to when i was 14 and loved wattpad

Is the fade to black supposed to represent her fainting from her “weak heart?”
Or am I giving this movie too much credit?
Nah that's actually what the author does in the books.
Oh what an awkward confusing way to go about that lmao
This movie shows exactly what happens when you move a fantasy situation into the real world. Keep your ‘kidnapped by a hot criminal’ fanfics fantasies in your head people cos when you put it on the big screen it really highlights how yucky the whole thing is.

You're not vanilla. You have common sense. I know some hardcore BDSMers who absolutely despise this movie
Being vanilla now means being a normal, civilised human being with a basic amount of empathy and morals apparently.
Generally when Laura changed her haircut it's because after that, she was similar to the author of book and the whole story, and all that idea was her own fantasy, she (author) openly said that for her every women have fantasies about being rap*ed in some way :|
