You did it once again mister Fraser. Thanks for all the information especially your opinions and experiences on these guitars. Looking forward to the follow up video. Cheers 😃
I actually bought an ESP because of the first guitar in the video, I saw it in your various music videos and had to have one because yours is gorgeous. Also the bit at the end of the video is top tier.
There's a lot of cool stuff here, and it's interesting how surprised you were by the Strandberg. How much does the headless bit affect playing? Also I did watch your video about your course for beginners, I'd definitely be interested in a video about guitars that are the most beginner friendly or have better bang for buck.
The headless aspect doesn't affect anything, that was a super nice guitar to play. Try one out in a guitar shop, but give it about 15 minutes to adjust haha. Yea bang for your buck beginner guitars is a good idea for a video, I'll look into that. There's also a guy called Guitar Max on TH-cam who I think does videos like that and might be worth checking out.
I hope I didn't come across as a know it all. Apologies ! 😊 I only play headless guitars now, and they usually weigh less than 3.5 kilograms. They are amazing for anyone with back pain, and the Endurneck is excellent if you have trouble with your wrists or arms. The sound of a Strandberg is quite unique. They have part of the wood taken out for chambering which gives them a more resonant sound for clean and acoustic style playing. I've played both Strandberg and Ibanez Quest guitars. I love them very much. If you want a high quality headless guitar try the Ibanez quest. I would recommend trying the pickups because I am considering switching them out for higher output pickups like bareknuckle pickups or even a fishman for metal playing :)
Anyway, I hope that helps :).!! I understand where you're coming from, Fraser, but headless guitars are perfect for me because I have chronic pain and had to give up on playing guitar for 6 months to a year before getting a headless guitar. I used to play ESP, LTD and Charvel guitars and I still like them but I can only play them for a short period . I think headless guitars have a lot more benefits other than being light. You don't need to worry about the neck warping with a Strandberg because it has carbon fibre inside it to keep it in place.
While I'm no shred-master, I've always loved Ibanez, but as you said in the video, playability can vary quite a bit from model to model. My S1XXV was only about £300, but it plays so much nicer than my JEM. Even if the JEM does look a billion times cooler 😂 Also, hey Ricki
Haha so weird isn't it. I think the setup is a lot to do with it, but it's worth guitarists discussing which ones are nicer to play because it's hard to tell from a picture on a website or just cz it's some beasting players signature model.
Look into the Edwards E-Maiden! They’re Japanese exclusive, but they’re around $1,500usd and they’re half scalloped. I got mine a couple years ago and it’s my go-to!
I don't know really! Do you have a local instrument dealer, like a Moroccan Strandberg dealer? Looking for second hand ones on eBay or Reverb might be cheaper and have more options too! I've bought a few guitars second hand.
I absolutely love your guitar man it’s so sick and look beauty it sure is a fact 👌👌have you ever played on a syn gates schecter they are pretty cool man sound amazing too really heavy though 😂please give Ricky a high five from me next time you see him 👌😂👍🏻
@@FraserEdwards they are pretty cool man especially with the sustainiac too feel really roomy too on the fret board I’ve got a Ibanez s series man and its ridiculously small and thin neck awesome man I love him best voice I ever heard 😄👌
Squier tele with fret level, crown, 6 brass saddled bridge, hot rails or tone zone pups does the trick, as funny as that might sound lol, it actually works well.. a fender HM strat, or a Heartfield talon v if you can find one is nice, a Warmoth soloist build is killer, ibanez, esp,Ltd, Schecter are probably the gold standard music man jp is nice.
even though i know nothing about guitars i still found this interesting to listen to.
been looking for a good shred piece so this video was genuinely a blessing
the best possible ending
Killer. I gotta get my hands on an evertune guitar like that. Not going out of tune or auto tuning should be a must have.
Agreed!
That ending hahaha
I love the concept of the strandberg but the pinging that happens with the zero fret when you bend

My pleasure!
I look forward to your interviews with experts about low action

That's cool to hear! 🤙🤙😁

I used to own that exact model jackson DK2M...I regret ever letting go of it. The jackson virtuoso sure is sick though.

my Jem is the best guitar i've ever had
66Samus proved that the Avril Lavigne telecaster can be the most suitable guitar for shredding if you're a good enough musician.
Schecter Reaper models have thinner models than some of the Ibanez models with 18-20 mm necks.
I absolutely love my LTD MH 1001 FR. Same neck as your 1000.
I've tried a few other variations and they're all solid!

That looks cool! How is it to play?
Scientific FACT!
for shredding, i prefer strandbergs. i own suhrs but the strandberg is my go to guitar for shredding
in your opinion what's the best shredding guitar?
I liked the Strandberg the best!
@@FraserEdwards how much the nx6 ? nd can it be shipped to Morocco?

@@FraserEdwards no we actually dont have a strandberg local instrument but would probably like go to Europe nd get it there
It's probably worth it! Try one out for like 20 minutes, a bit weird at first but you can play super fast when you get used to it
on top guitars for Shred there should be a Music Man Majesty guitar, those things make you fly
Fret friction is a problem on shred guitars
Intonation is a problem on my shecter I think it's the fretboard

I'd love to try a Synester Gates Schecter! Not had the chance yet unfortunately. I'll tell Ricki you said hi! 😁

Meanwhile Malmsteen shreds the shit out of a strat.

this should jus tbe an infomercial for them
Ibanez prestige
Schecter is a decent shred axe..
Compared to the players from the 80's these newer players sound like garage band mediocre players
Say gimmicks one more time
Didn't notice him say gimmicks once 💩
