Both are fantastic states. Texas has better value, but Florida has a better quality of life. I’d choose Florida. I’m also from Texas. Great video.
Thank you for watching and for providing such a thoughtful reply. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Quality of life? For who? Hmmmm I wonder 🤔🤑🤡
I am a Tejana but I LOVE MIAMI. ¡Café Cubano!
Florida Florida Florida. May you have a long and prosperous life.
I’m from Chicago and started applying for jobs in both Florida and Texas. No one from Texas called me but 2 companies fr FL called me and I got hired at one! Interviewing for the second company tomorrow. FL it is 🙂
How did it go?
How did everything turn out
Florida Pay 🗑
If you move to Florida, just don’t vote Democrat or it’ll turn to a Chicago. I moved to FL from NYC 17 years ago and would never vote blue again. Freedom is worth its price in gold.

Texas has friendlier people. The cities are larger In texas. The universities might be better there as well. Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville are big party towns but it's pricey.
I've lived in Austin and Tampa. I can say both are great places to live, people are more friendly in texas and everything is big there, its easy to find a a house with a big backyard. In Tampa we have beaches and more things to do, both are very hot and one has tornados and the other hurricane, I like both but it depends what are you looking for, I like beach so Im happier in FL
Thanks for sharing your experiences in Austin and Tampa! Your perspective really helps others deciding between these two great places. Glad you found your happy spot in Florida!
Florida has a notoriously bad job market, worst place for wages and opportunities I have ever lived. Everyone there had a side hustle because no one could make ends meet with the low salary and the high cost of living. This was Fort Lauderdale, Maybe it’s better in other cities.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
It’s not any better
I think you did a really good job on this video. Thank you
Thank you, Matteo. Your kind words are appreciated.
I'm from Florida and grew up in Orlando. A 1 bedroom apartment that went for 600 a month 3 years ago is going for 1800 2000+ a month. The media is calling it "priced out of paradise". San Antonio here I come.
Very exaggerated
@@hunkydori Well unfortunately Florida does get slot of migration from all other states so it wouldn't surprise me. Not to mention Miami has the highest % of gold diggers in the country. They all want axman who makes over 100 k.
You must be poor @@silvercontained
this video was very informative, but I'm just as torn as I was before watching it now lmao. Tons of pros and cons for both states. Just wish I could live in both.
I'm from Miami, life is very expensive here, bad pay and rude people. Thinking of moving to Huston tx 😅
Thank you for taking the time to watch and share your thoughts! If you decide to make the move to TX, I am happy to help.
Me too. Miami is too expensive and not as diverse as people think it is.
@@Thehokage36Thank you for sharing your experience!
U spelled it wrong dummy
You mentioned Texas thunderstorms and tornados, but I didn’t hear you mention hurricanes for Florida, but maybe I missed it. I vote for Austin TX.
That's right! Thank you for that.
Dont forget that houston also gets hurricanes
@@klassy86 Agree. And I have friends in Houston who have alligators in the ponds behind their house.
South Florida has become completely unaffordable. Apartments went from 1200 to 2200 in a year. Now renting a room...went from 1200 last yr to average 1500 at this VERY moment. I'll be moving to north texas. Probably Arlington or just any where thats not fort worth in nor texas - since I can rent a 2br for a $1500.
The salaries are better in Texas
FACTS
I moved to Naples from VA. Two years ago I signed a contract for a new construction for $1.1 M - now two of my neighbors with similar construction houses are listing them for $3.3 M . Had we waited to mo ve it would have become unaffordable, The housing market in South Florida is insane but we also;utely love living here!
I've heard great things about Naples! It seems like you arrived at the perfect time.
I grew up in Naples and moved away because of the conservative af politics. But hey at least the beach is nice! Until your fascist governor fucks up the environment too much and you can’t even enjoy that anymore… good luck 🐊
Texas to live, Florida to visit. Texas economy is larger will probably be #1 in a few years. Not that Florida economy is bad just that Texas economy has more people and bigger economy. Energy, finance, biomedical, manufacturing etc
He my name is Michael I'm a Nigerian planning to move to USA Texas with my family but my Question is can I and my family get a Resident permit if I buy a property in Texas?
I'm from Dallas Texas and job wise I would say Texas is better but if you want to go outside especially in Dallas you got to drive 200 miles for a good place.
Hello there! Thank you for taking the time to view and share your experience. I appreciate you!
Seriously thinking about the Dallas area due to a healthy Tech sector. But the property taxes are more than twice that of Florida? 😬
The taxes are really tough aka high here so when you are looking for homes definitely be mindful of the tax rate in each subdivision.
Coming from NJ, Texas’ property taxes look great😂. Taxes are an extra mortgage here! Definitely looking to move to either of these states!
@@ashleygabriellapladsen1850 It really is a big perk!
I have been looking to move for awhile now. While Florida is so expensive to live, rent or buy a home, there wages are incredibly low. it is almost literally impossible to earn the amount of rent when you need 3x the rent to qualify. I am still looking, but unless I find either cheap housing or a “decent” paying job, wherever I move will not be Florida.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Also as someone who has lived in both - I will say Texas is friendlier! Even if they don't agree with you! Florida drivers are more insane and people more hostile. I'm more afraid of being shot in Florida than in Texas.
Thank you for taking the time to reply and share your insights!
Now way you said that. What are the things that made you think like that?
That’s interesting considering Texas is the most gun-heavy state. I’d be more afraid of being shot in Texas. As for the drivers, Texas is no better lol. Especially in Houston. Source: I’m born and raised in Houston.
I'm not in a city so I can't relate. I'm 2 hours from Miami and 3 hours from Orlando. My insurance here is doubled what it was in Texas but I didn't live ina city there. Florida has shootings in almost every neighborhood now days. Miami is considered the worst but it happens in any neighborhood. I've 7 ppl in the past 5 years who have been held at gun point or shot at in daylight. Boca, Delray, WPB, Pompano, Coral Springs. Hours away from the city. We also have horrible road rage and some of the shootings have happened at stop lights. We had an elderly woman shoot at a car full of teens because of their music and tried to claim self defense. At that same interection we had a woman in her 40s run over a man to get to the bank and did not stop. The man died on impact. Everyone goes 20 over the speed limit - 30 or more on the hwy. You won't get pulled over most of the time. And running red lights is normal.
@@ATH-camChannelwithNoName
I put it this way with guns. Texas people will threaten to shoot you. Florida they just do it without warning. It's not always young people but old people. It happens in parking lots and lights. Also car insurance fraud is extremely common.@@ATH-camChannelwithNoName
please tell me since i didn't don't and/or won't be TOTALLY certain which is better between texas and florida i still live in indiana and i don't think i'll ever choose to live in texas and florida ahead of indiana
Thank you so much for your comment! Moving is truly a matter of personal preference, and it's wonderful to hear different perspectives.
@@LiveInATX you're welcome and you make sense
Will never move back to Florida. Moved to Austin from West Palm Beach. No regrets!
Needed to hear this lol lived in west palm beach my whole life
Living in Frisco, Tx and looking to move to Florida 😂 I do love Austin though!
please say why??
I want to live where people love freedom and the ocean is near by. God bless
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to respond!
The beaches in Texas can't compare to Florida. The best beach in Texas is south Padre island all the way at the boarder.
Austin, Texas for the booming tech scene. I'm a data scientist and I plan to immigrate from London.
A fair warning people in Texas have a big ego.
AZ had a desert...
Yes please do. I will help you all move provided you do not come back to my state.
Where was that neighborhood in Brownsville TX?
There are quite a bit. What area of Brownsville are you looking? Feel free to shoot me a message here as well (512) 270-0966.
Weird how you do not bring up the damage that the flooding and wind do.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and for sharing your feedback. I have made a note to include that in future videos. I appreciate you!
The majority of Americans are busy working two jobs just to pay rent and food and don’t even have time to go to the beach or enjoy what you’re talking about!!
How can you say that Texas isn't humid?! Maybe if you're out in Lubbock, but Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston are all humid
We have humidity, Houston being the worst but Florida is far more humid than Texas.
It's too humid in Florida. But if you love beaches, it's awesome. Florida is super cold in the winter 😂. Texas has a better outlook over the next 10-20 years
Texas flatland boring af
Florida aint cold bruv
@@frahmanfr1u prolly never lived there
💯
The food is better in Texas. We didn't have that much good food when I grew up in Orlando and Miami. Well cuban food was really good.
Texas i would chose
Great choice! What's your favorite thing about Texas?
Thank you! This video was very informational and broke both states down to the T. I am a Floridian that has moved to Texas and I love everything about Texas so far. Florida is very hot and has dry heat, Texas on the other hand is very hot as well but the breeze help keep you cool. So glad I made this move.
So happy to hear you enjoyed the video and that you're settling in well in Texas! Enjoy your new adventure, and welcome to the Lone Star State!
Florida's heat is notoriously *humid.
@@nyla2408 yes! Humid.
🙏
Florida would be nice
What are you most excited about when it comes to Florida?
For all the people saying wages in Florida are not good is because 1 your under educated and your first mistake is Florida is a business friendly state if your not a producer you will suffer.
Hmmmmmm, I love the beaches in Florida because I’m a water lover so Florida it is 😍😂
Florida definitely beat Texas when it comes to beaches😆
Texas and Florida are basically the same state but one has nice beaches and the other one doesn’t lol. Bad traffic, low wages, hot weather and rising cost of living are all pretty much apart of both.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!
Florida has more demographics diversity but Texas has more parity across business segments.
That’s not true Texas demagraphics is very diverse from mountains, desert… Florida just tropical
@@diamantecarter8625 This reference is to demographics not geography.
@@karltonsullivan2564 oh yea I got those mixed up but the demographics is still more diverse than Florida
@diamantecarter8625 after Miami, Florida is veryyy horrible
Florida is very expensive
That’s sort of a generalized statement. Florida is a huge state. It just depends on where you live
@@calvinjames7032Agreed, but Florida is still more expensive overall than Texas
Texas is lower than the average if you live in the sticks with red barn yards everywhere with zero amenities. Very cheap - one of the best cities to live in Texas is Plano , TX and it is extremely expensive. Austin , Dallas , etc is extremely expensive as well on the average. The problem is you got trailers in the middle of nowhere fucking up the numbers of the average cost with 200 people living in unheard of towns throughout Texas. Most people who come to Texas aren’t going there and they are shocked at the cost of living in most areas of Texas
Thanks for your insights! You're right, Texas has a wide range of living costs. Cities like Plano, Austin, and Dallas are indeed pricier, reflecting their amenities and economic opportunities. Rural areas might offer lower costs but with fewer amenities, impacting state averages. It's important for anyone moving to Texas to explore specific areas to understand the true cost of living. Appreciate your comment!
I am familiar with both.. Texas is HOT.. They carry guns and the pay there is not great. Retire there and get a little more for a west coast or east coast retirement pay. Texas is cheaper but like I said if you have a great retirement pay you can buy a good house for 200-300 thousand. that would be valued on the east coast about triple that. Florida rain, hurricanes and tourist. They are still in an old school mindset(1800s) Also an easy gun state. Fl and Tx are about a 6 on the move scale of 1-10. With Fl being a bit higher because the weather is better. 107 degrees when I was there. People will not go out their houses, apt etc.. Sounds like a prison to me..
Thank you for taking the time to watch and weigh in!
Texas has some low humidity areas unlike Florida
Absolutely, you're right! Texas does have regions with lower humidity compared to Florida. This is due to Texas' diverse climate and geography, which includes desert areas and high plains.
Then why are so.many from Florida moving to Texas??? Jesus!
Jobs
I prefer Texas
She could be in ads for dental products
Awww thank you!
Wait so theres no fun things to really do in texas? Idk about cow bows n bbq lol
🤣
There is Six Flags
No mention that the total tax burden in FL is lower than TX.
You made a great point. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to respond!
Dont vote the same way you did to elect the people in cali, new york, il

If I was a woman of childbearing age, there is no way I would consider moving to either these days.
Too darned dangerous, since they got rid of Roe V Wade
Seems to me like canceling a child through abortion is considered more dangerous…
@@EliyahuTheHebrew Then you should educate yourself.
A legal abortion, especially if performed early, is safer than childbirth of a full term foetus.
And terminating a pregnancy with bad complications can be lifesaving.
Huh?
