Damn this dude motivated me. "Just a little bit at a time." After having a car for 5 years I don't think I would've started back up on it. Glad he put in the work.
Your build documentaries are so cool! I love that you are putting the spotlight on people that are just normal guys like the most of us. In a sea of almost unrealistic 1000+whp youtube cars, its very refreshing to see cars we can relate to get the spotlight!
I had a similar story. Drove my buddy’s GSX in high school and it stuck in my mind ever since. Finally found a 90 Talon AWD a couple years ago that needed some TLC. Tons of fun and my kids love it!
The white and black Talon TSi was the car that peaked my dads interest in the DSM's and he eventually ordered the 97 TSi AWD that I have now. I owe a whole lot to that car right there😅
8/31/24 Hi Ivan, East Coast here I purchased my 1990 Eagle Talon Base model Black Cherry color new in Fall of 1990, I still own it with only 18,900 original miles on it, it now is my Summer driver that I put away when Winter starts to hit Vermont. Being the Talon base model it has a few less features than your Eclipses GSX. The base Talon has no air condition, no fog light, roll up windows, no power locks, no rear window wiper, AM/FM cassette radio. It does have matching Eagle tire rims with the Eagle logo, a slightly different shifting lever with a 5 speed manual engine with only front wheel drive. The lower body molding matches the upper and matches your eclipse, has the pop up headlight. For a 34+ year old car still looking pretty good, but the issues I had so far was having to replace the gas tank fuel pump, replace the rotors and pads, plus just recently work on the clutch and transmission. The style was ahead of its time and price right.
100% agree about F&F killing the car scene. I think they're directly responsible for all the high prices for cars and sold out parts that are not produced anymore.
People want one in great shape but not willing to pay the price is the problem. Can’t expect a low mileage around 50k miles no rust great condition to be $5,000. Good luck
Nice video, always love the stories behind the cars. Us cars guys love to tell stories. I always loved the hump on the hood. Made it look like a performance machine
Wrong about forums being dead. Facebook is not a storage of information for you to use later, it's a collection of information for the owners of facebook to use. Search indexing historical information is not one of their interests. Forums will always be king for this reason because of private ownership. As long as they don't sell out to whatever that company wasy that was going around buying up and converting all the car forums not long ago.

Sometimes thats all we need. And also lifes short to not finish a project lfg!
