Umbrella Security Service (USS) Delta team enters the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory, where they meet up with Alpha team leader HUNK. Their mission is to assist Alpha team in stopping Dr. William Birkin from handing over his T-virus research to the U.S. military and retrieve the G-virus. On their way to Birkin's lab, they find Birkin has paid numerous Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (UBCS) mercenaries to work for him while the deal goes forward. When they reach Birkin's lab, the doctor is shot, and HUNK and another Alpha leave with the samples. They soon find that Birkin survived the attack and infected himself with the virus. The Birkin creature proceeds to kill off most of Alpha team before disappearing; HUNK offers to go back in search of the sample.
Not long after the battle, it becomes evident that the T-virus has leaked citywide, and people are beginning to transform into flesh-hungry zombies. In what they see as a punishment by USS command, Delta team is ordered to remove evidence of Umbrella's role in the outbreak. Heading into Raccoon City Hall, Delta team meets with a UBCS mercenary and their monitor Nicholai Ginovaef; he is soon revealed as a traitor and attempts to kill Delta team.
Later, the team is sent out around Raccoon Park to find the Nemesis-T Type, which has gone rogue. A second parasite is injected into its body in order to bring it back under control. Shortly after this mission is completed, the team is then sent out to the Raccoon City Police Department, ordered to kill any surviving police officers and destroy evidence linking the company to the outbreak. When this is done, the team exits the station, and soon after encounter Leon S. Kennedy, whom they begin to hunt down along with Sherry Birkin. After they find and corner Leon, Claire Redfield and Sherry, the game can end in two ways: in one ending, the surviving members of the team resign from Umbrella over their abandonment during the mission and betray them by letting the three live; in the other, Leon and Claire are executed and Sherry is sent to an Umbrella facility.
Spec Ops Command deployed Echo Six team into Raccoon City in order to discover the causes of the outbreak. Heading into Raccoon City Police Department, they meet with Jill Valentine, who is fleeing the Nemesis. She points Umbrella as the responsible for the outbreak and advises the team to investigate the City Hall for evidence before parting. There Echo Six finds blueprints of an Umbrella underground laboratory and heads to the sewers to find its entrance, fighting Nemesis along the way.
Moving further into the sewers, Echo Six comes into contact with the mutated Birkin attacking USS soldiers, and Claire Redfield, who is searching for Sherry Birkin. The team escort Claire and find Sherry, before being ambushed by Birkin. Claire takes Sherry away through a doorway as Echo Six covers their escape; they then defeat Birkin and continue their mission.
Finding the underground lab, Echo Six learns that T-Virus is the cause of the outbreak and that the G-Virus could make the situation worse. They are given orders to collect a sample of the G-Virus for further study. Further into the lab, they learn that Sherry is carrying a G-Virus sample and a Tyrant is being programmed to hunt her down to retrieve it. Destroying the terminals to prevent the Tyrant's programming complete, the creature awakens anyway and attacks the team. They activate the lab self-destruct system to kill it and flee to the surface; the Tyrant is set upon by Nemesis parasites and becomes the Parasite Super Tyrant.
Spec Ops Command receives a distress call from Leon S.Kennedy, informing them of the whereabouts of Claire and Sherry; Echo Six is tasked with assisting in their evacuation. In the extraction zone, they are attacked by the Parasite Super Tyrant; Echo Six fights it and kills it. Leon, Claire and Sherry are then evacuated on the chopper as Command tells Echo Six to stay behind for one last mission that only they can accomplish.

When I saw this cutscene during my Childhood, I got chills. I used to believe they were holding up for days due to the quantity of bows they had killed.
But then I realized that it was just a couple of hours; Raccon City was blown to kingdom come 3 days after it fell.
Wolfpack needs to be canon again in any sort of way, they are too cool to be left in the dust.
Think about the smell, one week and more in Raccoon City.
If only Capcom could remake this. ORC was mediocre, but it sold 3.2 million units. Now imagine how much they would have sold, had it been well made. I still think ORC has a fantastic premise and needs to be given another chance.
Just change a few things, make the Umbrella soldiers more grounded, which basically means just remove Vector's Predator cloaking tech, try not to mess with the canon, unless it's an unlockable what-if scenario, then I don't mind them being able to meet and kill the RE main characters. Most importantly, make Zombies and other monsters actually threatening. Even if you are in a squad, when you see like a dozen or two Zombies shuffle towards you, you should be worried and probably start running.
Agreed, just use the premise and work on making a better game and it could be really good
Barachim i agree100% yet i enjoyed its misplacements vectors tech was why i loved using him but he was OP in every way but it doesnt deserve the irregular amount of hate it has all in all decent game , bad developement a lot of cannon abuse yet its one of my favs in the side franchise of its original installments

@@jingames2874 Well, those are usually enemies where you have to stand your ground. So those are the times when you get to unleash your arsenal. But before that, you should choose your battles and conserve your ammo whenever possible.
Of course it shouldn't be like RE1&2, where you have to save ammo at all costs. But just enough so it doesn't feel like playing Left 4 Dead.

It's amazing how many small little details from this game made it into the Remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3... I'm talking like the developers must have took a lot of inspiration from a lot of things in this game.

Great graphic? RE5 which released before this game and even the Wii on-rail games looks better than this and it even used the same style of pre-rendered CG as the Wii games.

If this had the controls and engine of the RE2 remake, the story would still be non canon and shoddy. Good ideas but just not implemented well.

Has anyone imagined Wild Dog and Wild Fang (from the Time Crisis games) being here? I can just imagine Wild Dog being a one-man army with his tractor beam and Wild Fang kicking zombies and barrels as weapons!

Actually, it's better if Wild Dog and Wild Fang are never infected, much like the player character heroes are, so they can fight in more than one game. I see them as evil, yet valorous, "heroes" who fight as bioterrorists' answer to the BSAA and other traditional RE heroes. In the Time Crisis game series, the locations, heroes and main villains always change but the mercenaries Wild Dog and Wild Fang are the only constants.

They're *Echo Six* from Special Forces military branch sent by the U.S goverment to Raccoon City to find out what the f#!k is happening there and investigate the mess behind this whole zombie outbreak.

Capcom should do alot of changes and remake operation raccoon City and separate another Resident evil remakes outbreak 1 and file 2 after they released Resident Evil village.
Glad I never bought re2 and RE3 remakes or re7 not fan of new Capcom but see what's Village be good to watch on TH-cam before buying the game first at cheaper price.
Capcom do remake Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City with OFF Line 2 and 4 co-op multiplayer to be playable for main Campaign and creating our own U.S.S. male and female mercenaries and stop Umbrella helped out all main Characters Jill Carlos Claire and Leon.

My favorite RE game
I'm glad I didn't play this. This is pretty much Gears playstyle with broken lore. I will say though, it is fun and refreshing to see the main characters have different/unique reactions in this kind of scenario.
