The first expansion is a major improvement on the game, without making it more complex; definitely do check it out. It fixes the predictability of the private objectives and tones down the chaos, since everyone has a private dice pool, in addition to the public one. It allows for better planning and control.
It also comes with a neat little dice tray, that we use for pretty much every game now, since it takes very little table space and it's easy to pass around. A fun fact is that the base game insert is specifically designed to accommodate the expansion, which is both useful and a little bit devious from the publisher, if you ask me.
I don't own the second expansion (Passion), but from the reviews I saw it seems forced and unnecessary, so I'm in no rush to get it.

Not for me unless they introduce a ‘flying brick ‘ card to boost interaction. But good luck to those who like this kind of thing.

3.5/5 is fair. I completely agree with your pros/cons. I have this game but dont play it much anymore. But it is a brain burner to be sure. Trying to get your dice to not only fit the window but also meet endgame objectives can be tricky. And ya, the ffsakes factor is huge in this game. The only other cons for me are the size of the dice and the oversized player board. I think the dice should be a bit bigger just to make them easier to handle. The player boards dont need to be so tall...its just a waste. Instead, they should get rid of the colorful but useless stained glass part above the dice and just make the dice area bigger...to accomodate bigger dice! Know what I mean? ffsakes! 😉

Haha! I was thinking just that when filming the b-roll. I struggled to get the player boards in the frame vertically and had loads of empty space to the side 👍🏻

The top side of the player board does come into play with the first expansion - you store your private dice pool there. They had it all planned.

@@blackjack2150 In the base game youre also suppose to store the glass beads there. I never do. I just put them near the board.

That game is ok, I can't say I like it, but it is a good game.
My problem with it is replayabity; Once you have played it for the first time.... That's it... any other play will be just the "same game". At least I feel that way; I like Roll Player best in that genre

My wife enjoys this because the rules are easy and it provides a good level of brain burning but not too much. Would probably be ejected from the collection otherwise.
