Hello again, Mr. Max! This is Guerry again. Thank-you for sharing this takeoff, and I’m sorry to have missed commenting on your last video. Indeed, with only about 4,000 feet of runway, any commercial jet needs to firewall the throttles or everyone goes swimming. At least there were no obstacles to clear. But my goodness… With you hanging around in Rio, what are you doing with a video of a takeoff? You should be showing us a video of the Brazilian ladies on the beach. JUST KIDDING! The scratched window did not diminish the video quality as much to me as the overcast. I can imagine the scenery would have been totally awesome on a clear day. I am guessing that it might be illegal, but could you imagine being at the water’s edge of the runway with a sailboard, sailboat, or catamaran? That would be one rush of a ride to be propelled across the water by jet blasts. Given all the traveling you do, and especially when you fly on other airlines than United, have you ever compared your travel experience with the rating(s) “Skytrax” and “Seat Guru” have posted? I have been curious for a long time about those sites’ accuracy, since I no longer fly commercially frequently. Of course, if I took the time to give a rating on either site, it would be exceptionally skewed. Despite all the commercial flights I took for business years ago, I still have more time sitting in the webbed seats of an Air Force cargo craft than in any commercial aircraft. Although it was short, I still truly enjoyed your video. I am always looking forward for viewing your next post.
If I’m not mistaken, the IAE V2500 is actually a partial derivative of the RB211 family, taking many designs from that engine. Hence all the similarities, again this is stuff I’ve read and don’t actually know the factual details. But I thought it was neat!
Indeed it is a very short runway in Santos Dumont airport downtown Rio. Amazing view: at the begining of the take-off, on the left, we can see the buildings of the Navy Academy.
Love the scenery at the beginning. That plane went up like a rocket. Said the blond 1st Officer to the Captain after an intense landing, "Wow, that was a short runway!" "But did you see how wide it was?" Captain replied. 😀
@@RicciWorkI've noticed that on the A321's. TOGA's on the A321 have no buzzsaw noise, and if they do, it's very faint. We did a TOGA takeoff out of Orange County on an A320 with Flaps 3, it was the perfect E pitched buzzsaw. I actually have the takeoff data sheet from that flight!
@@LoganAviationFrom videos I have seen on the A321 with IAE engines (most popular I believe) TOGA or other high trust setting indeed creates only a faint buzzsaw. You realise this when thrust reduction alt is reached and it's like the engine roars to life. I've been some Orange county takeoffs: good to see high powered quick takeoffs. PS - Ive noticed this high-trust-less-engine-noise scenario also on the A330, 340, 350 and 380 with the RR engines. Interestingly however, I find estimating thrust used difficult on the A320 with the NEO engines because they are so much quieter already. However, A32N engines seem to make a much more audible buzzsaw on high thrust setting. Search YT for examples.
Those IAE-V2500's hitting that sweet spot! nice takeoff
The engine fanblade is doing 5400 rpm, what a grate sound for such a small airbus!!!
IAE engines are my most favourite because they sound very musical.
Yes I also love IAE ❤❤
Rolls-Royce RB211 and Solovyev D30KU are very "musical" too
Gorgeous, totalt mounstrous IAE2500 engine sound love it!
Wow, what a short take off. That video was really worth to watch it.

Love the V2500 engine sound.!!!!!!!!
2:32 Sounds like the Rolls-Royce RB211-535!

Oh my gosh it does
@@UNITED38Heavy Rolls Royce actually designed the Fan so it makes sense it buzzes like one.
O ronco é maravilhoso
3:38 sounded amazing

Passangers: What beautiful view
Airbus: This runway is too short
Cockpit: Your engines need to work extra hard!!!!
This sound modulation are due FADEC automatic acceleration) in use and EEC fuel injection increasing .
What a short roll to V1!
I love this sound

Great vid Max!
the IAE engines sound very funny and it also sounds like that someone's turning the fan on.
Amazing sound! What is used to record?
It probably was an iPhone 12 Pro Max
1:36 This noise reminds me curiously of the 757-200 Thomson of Egypt Air
The captain cannot decide on the power of his engines 😅
Do you have to be a first class pilot to take off on this airport
IAE V2500 engine spool up on an A319-132 in Brazil!😊
whoa I wonder what flaps and thrust setting they had to use for this one. TO/GA for sure and maybe Flaps 2 or even 3
I wonder if they used flaps 2 or 3 and TOGA for takeoff
what are you recording with?
A320 buzzaw sound
Buddy it is an A319
This airport is even shorter than that of London city. Could the A319 land there if they tried?
LCY has a steeper than usual approach gradient compared to SDU. AFAIK The A319 isn't certified, but the A318 is.
Def the IAE engines
Sounded Like The A320's V2500
it is
that engine sound is in the key of E.
CFM56 is D or C#
Sounds like my computer doing its best to run the flight simulator
This runway is LESS THAN A MILE long!!! I think it’s the shortest runway a narrow-body jet airliner can handle.
How did the A319 achieve this short take off?
Using 95% engine thrust+ holding the brakes at the beginning
@@ВсеволодКращук I know, but the load must be very light to achieve that.
@@ВсеволодКращук Is it always 95% thrust + holding brakes at the start? I'd think that would increase the amount of runway it needs.
Love you

Flex Takeoff, not TOGA. Good shape A319❤
Cara, é lindo. Mas o mais lindo é o GE90
¿Qué pasa con el GENX
I dont think this is toga because toga takeoff has no buzz and thetrust is also moved once
Agreed. I noticed that TOGA takeoffs actually make less sound believe it or not. This is particularly noticeable on the IAE engines.
