- Two-time WSOP World Series of Poker Circuit champion Lena Evans reveals how mental acuity, focus, patience, emotional discipline, and knowledge can slow brain aging. Lena explores how a poker powered brain can improve your cognitive skills by enhancing decision making, critical and strategic thinking, and create deeper intuition. Poker is a sport for the active mind! The founder of Jade Phoenix, a San Diego-based community organization dedicated to helping other nonprofits, Lena Evans also has a side interest - playing poker. She is a two-time World Series of Poker circuit champion, and recently started teaching young adults how mind sports can sharpen their focus when it comes to multitasking, strategic thinking and other skills. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
This would appear the day I decide to quit poker
You’ll go back
Why did you quit?
Playing for money? Or for fun?
That's kind of validation I needed
Thank you algorithm
Don't put a single dollar on the table you can still reap the benefits
My friends were taught cards when they were young now they are really good at reading people and a bluffs
If you can dream it you can do it 😉
Winning with AA vs QQ heads up is not an achivement. But yeah, I agree with other things she said..
Doing it HU on a final table for a WSOP bracelet kind of is tho.
If it's the highest hand on the table a win is a win lol
Who knows u have aa before hand more over aa doesnt guarantee u a win
Even to get to final table is a big achievement...
Poker is 100% luck
