Omega De Ville Prestige (Ref. 424.13.40.20.03.001) features a 39.5mm stainless steel case, domed bezel, and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The blue dial possesses applied hour indices, date aperture at 3, and steel center hands. Powering this De Ville Prestige is a self-winding COSC-chronometer certified Omega 2500 ( base: ETA 2892-A2 ) caliber that boasts a 48-hour power reserve. Watch is presented on a black alligator strap with stainless steel tang buckle.

Prefer the DeVille line of watches as compared to the seamasters or speedmasters.
But this model uses a dated calibre 2500 with shorter power reserve as compared to the 8500 etc

They are all beautiful - but serve different purposes. This one is a dress watch, the Seamaster is a Diver, and the Speedmaster is a sporty chronograph. It really depends on what occasion/what you're going to use it for

This has the latest and best 2500, the 2500d. I don't mind since it is a movement that is more easily worked on by a variety of watchmakers.

I just received mine yesterday. Did you find the movement to be loud than other brands? I can hear the rotor moving around as I move my wrist and the ticking sound is pretty loud compared to my yacht master 40.

I have this same watch in silver. It is louder than most of the others, the ticking is quite loud. Maybe something about the case amplifies the sound?
