- Thanks a ton for watching! This was my first time ever doing post apocalyptic larp and I loved it so much more than I thought I would! I am still quite new to larp, so I still don't know exactly what I'm doing.. but I'm having fun doing it!

Shamblers are great - they're an atmosphere thing more than a big threat but in numbers... they can swarm a person and drop them. We did a staff shamble, all rank 1 and 2 shamblers at 8am and we kinda unexpectedly killed three veteran players SO lol Doing good pratfalls really helps immersion, but get yourself some kneepads! Your body will appreciate it!
Oh and love Boneheads xD It's great when people sell the Killing Blows!
I utterly adore when players make their own scripture and stories for the world! It's great you got to hear that! (I wrote a book for my character! Like, a real short book. 30k words for a Final Knight faith book).
It's fun, my first PC was a Yorker (Walking toxic masculinity and I am so glad he's dead lol He got taxing to play) and while he was... a LOT, he was still a lot of fun. I'm told that since he permed, the lack of the familiar "Ay-YO!" ringing over the camp has been missed xD
Also, no shock you're getting crushed on because you're very pretty! I envy your hair~! (Smart move on being cautious with in game romance that gets so sticky at times lol) And DR games tend to have crazy relationships all over the place xD We also have a player who communicates in ASL in character!
And if you do make your own gang, you all should come visit New Jersey! Hayven is still Gangland even if Old York has done fucked off with actually caring about us (Eh, it makes sense. We're drunken sociopaths who are a borough by annexation more than anything. The post-apocalyptic Staten Island).

kittenclaws Thank you for all the insight!! My character has kneepads but I took them off for NPC shift- won’t be doing that again! I just love really getting into NPCing and just being overly dramatic for the players lol!
Being a Yorker is such a blast! I usually play more timid characters at other games so being a Yorker really pushes me out of my comfort zone in such a great way.
And thank you, you are too kind. I will actually be going back this weekend and I am soo excited! We should definitely make our way up to the NJ chapter as we all live on the East Coast! It’ll be a bit of a drive, but I’m sure we could make the trek sometime!

And from someone who always enjoys doing and seeing a good pratfall (I once went from a dead sprint to a tumbling roll and a ten foot slide on my back down a hill), I 100% get the desire to go all out! xD

Great video! My friend and I are hoping to go to our local Dystopia Rising later this year (it would be our first time larping) and it's nice having the viewpoint of someone who's new to the game.

YourLordAri! Don’t be scared! Find a buddy to tag along with you to give you a little boost of confidence and take the plunge! The first time going larping is insanely nerve wracking- but it is so worth it afterwards.
