Twitch Recap | Clips of 2021
Thank you guys for sticking with me through this past year. I'm so looking forward to what 2022 will bring! I'm really hoping to get back into my creative pursuits this year.
I know this is pretty different content than what I usually make, but I really want to merge my TH-cam and Twitch a bit more this year (and hopefully post more than just once or twice in 2022).
Thanks a ton for watching!
*ALSO, there was a copyright claim on one of these clips. So if you're seeing ads, that is why. Tis going to the artist. I may try to edit it out later.*

Super Simple Viking Inspired Pants DIY
มุมมอง 22K3 ปีที่แล้ว
I stumbled across a super easy pattern for medieval fantasy (viking-ish) pants. These are great for LARP, cosplay, trips to the grocery store- anything you'd like! I used the measurements listed in the pattern, but if I were to go back and do it again, I would make the pant legs a little less poofy. You can always use the pattern as a blueprint and customize it to get the exact fit you want! Al...

This was my Black Friday LARP haul from 2020. I've been meaning to edit it, but life got so hectic it was difficult to find the time. I've finally got it up and have more videos already in the works! Thank you guys so much for your patience. Times are crazy, but it seems to finally be settling down on my end. Can't wait to see what this year has in store! Thanks a ton for watching! Cheap and Easy Drum DIY
มุมมอง 21K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Today I decided to make a really quick and easy drum for a local larp game! It is nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I wanted something that was a step up from a little child's drum but not quite a professional drum set either. All the tutorials I was able to find seemed to be one or the other with little in between. So hopefully there are others out there like me who wanted something in ...

WHY TOWN WHY
มุมมอง 5175 ปีที่แล้ว
I hope you enjoyed my most recent LARP adventures! I don't want to put the name of my local game in the title of this video as it is a little local game and I do not wish for the other players there to find my video. This channel is my place to kind of just come brain dump and I am far too shy to let the people I see every month see my videos just yet. Not that I want to keep it super secret, i...

EASY HOODED CLOAK TUTORIAL
มุมมอง 64K6 ปีที่แล้ว
I was trying to find a tutorial online to make a really quick and simple cloak, but could not find one that was quite right so I decided to make one myself! I made this cloak for about 6 dollars for my LARP this weekend to keep warm. However, cloaks can also be used for any costumes, cosplays, Walmart visits- you name it! Towards the end of the video I touch on tips for making the cloak without...

HAMMOND FIRST IMPRESSIONS | Overwatch

Hammond just came out on the PS4 so these were my first impressions of him! I refrained from watching any videos of him/his gameplay, so I went into this knowing very little. i think i’m gonna try and make these. good tutorial. Hope you get to 1000 subs soon
Well done
1000th like!
There is such thing as armor made of women’s size body shapes. Medieval collectibles has armor that is made for women. Honestly awesome kit. And the mantle definitely fits it just has to be tightened up and broken in a bit. You need arming points which are specific ties to attach the amor to an arming jacket and shoulder armor is usually with arming points you will usually have a full gambson underneath the plate armor. And the armor you got doesn’t need arming points and it looks awesome. Have fun at the larp games you go to.
This was such a helpful and easy to follow video, and other than an inseam drop, it even fits plus sizes. The tip about using the cut out fabric for a gusset was awesome as well. Thank you so much for posting this!
I wonder if you could tie the end of the drawstring to a neodymium magnet, and use another magnet to thread the string... 🤔
Your videos are so easy for me to follow! Thank you so much for these tutorials!!!
Thank you so much for the easy tutorial!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for this tutorial! It was super easy to follow!
You look amazing in the armor! I just ordered my own for the first time and it arrives in a week! So excited!
Isn't the crotch area likely to split with a design like that?
This looks so simple to do, thank you 😊 I just finished my first hand sewn shirt and was looking for pants that would fit the style!
Thank you. Your efforts are appreciated.
Very cool 😀
Are you still polishing and oiling this? Or do you still have it? I honestly had to ultimately paint my entire set. I live in a humid area.
These are perfect, thank you! I'm trying to get into sewing my own clothes, and a) patterns are expensive so I love things that are easily drafted and b) when I get better at this whole thing, I think this pattern will work perfectly as the base for a design I've been dreaming up.
Hi there, I just watched the video, I know that it's a couple of years old now, but just wanted to say that you can get a 'needle' specifically for doing lacing, its a bit longer than a safety pin!, I can't remember what they're called but I'm sure your local sewing supplies shop could help you out!!
the person im cosplaying has 5 drums on his back. i already spent a lot of money on this cosplay/ i can paint it so thats a great and it just fit with everything so well i put packing tape under to make the sound better you should try it!
That is a great idea! I'll definitely try it out. Thank you!
How would you make the pants less poofy? I want the poof, but not as much, should I cut off some fabric on the sides? Or what would the right strategy be?
Yes! Exactly that. Just make it closer to your measurements and it will have less poof. I just went for the measurements in the photo and did not incorporate my own at all so they are extra fluffy. Maybe lay a pair of pants you already own on top of the fabric and cut a few inches out all the way around them. The further out you go- the poofier the pant !
You are very funny, and that armour looks great!! I too am buying a armor and weapon, the bestion with armour is: it's has to be in steel or resin? I still don't know.
My birthday is coming up, and I'm prepping to get the full suit of the marks are gear. Cant wait to get it all on!

Ooh ooh I know this I know this I'm making drums today it's Friday so my dad's going to make it
nice
Very nice dear
One suggestion that I would give would be to rub the armor with a towel after taking it off so that you can clean the fingerprints. Over time, the armor will start to lose a bit of its shine, but that’s normal (it even happened to my set of steel Elias armor)
Excuse me you are gorgeous lol
you got a real Joan of arc look with the armor on
Ah thank you!!
I feel like the thrift store has better options for women, at least for soft kit. You need a white blouse, a simple skirt, and a corset or wrap, and you have a solid base kit for many characters. Most women already have these items in their closet right now. Whereas a dude isn't going to have as much luck. It's great for getting little knickknacks to dress up my camp (coffee mug, wooden bowls, trinket boxes), but I have had 0 luck finding any sort of costuming or kit at Goodwill. Antique stores, however, are really good. I play a sort of frontiersman/ranger-type, so it was a good spot to get some reclaimed furs and antlers, and few other pieces to fit that aesthetic. Almost got an old-timey coffee grinder, but opted against it because they were either too big for my needs or were going to need some TLC before I could use them. Amazon is not bad for somethings. I got some harem pants and a helmet, even my tent came from them. I do wish I saw more than the same things every time. I've seen a lot of people wearing gear they picked up from there, so nothing you find there is going to be wildly unique, and I've had more than a few instances where an item arrives and looks only vaguely like it did on the site. You're also helping benefit Bezosbub's evil ventures when you shop there, so there's that. Walmart has been really good for "I need something passible TODAY!" situations, like belts or my boots. All the youtubers were like, "Get waterproof boots with good ankle support." So I got some of the $80 work boots they have. They're perfectly acceptable for the game, and could probably pass for just about any game from just about any genre because they're simple black mid-calve slip-ons. One of the sites I've played at had a little steam, and I was the only player that didn't have to use the stepping stones when crossing. Only thing I've changed about them is I got the good massaging insoles for them (conveniently found at Walmart.) They're also considerably cheaper than some larp suppliers, and are gonna last at least another season before I have to consider upgrading. Again, you're helping the super rich get richer, so shop at your own discretion. For weapons, I don't exactly like boffer weapons for immersion purposes and too many variations in the crafting process, so I easily dropped most of my money there. Which, for other players' safety, I think you should. You said your game wasn't too combat intensive, so a cheap Amazon sword is fine, but I don't want it to break or hurt anyone, and boffer weapons just have too many variables, like thickness/softness of the foam and diameter of the pipe. The padding to pipe ratio can be off giving you either a dangerous pool noodle or a slightly safe pipe. Latex weapons from trusted dealers, all the way. Mytholon definitely makes my favorite stuff. Except their arrows. IDV is my preferred design for those. I've heard too many horror stories about mishaps with homemade arrows to want to risk a ban or someone's safety. Plus, many professionally produced weapons have a thrusting tip. Anyways, those are just the things I've noticed in my experience as a newbie LARPer. (I've only been at it since November last year.)
Thanks for all the extra advice! It's great to have insight on a man's perspective on hunting down larp gear too. I think when it comes to thrifting larp kit for men, you may have to get a bit craftier. You could find a decent pair of trousers after a bit of hunting, but tops can be difficult. In that case, I would just grab something with linen or an immersive fabric and alter it a bit. Larpmix made a quick tutorial on turning a tshirt into a genre shirt a while back! That's a great resource to use. I'm also not a huge boffer fan myself. While many of the swords on amazon I would not recommend- the one I had has honestly been great! It is quite squishy, but still looks decently immersive as well. It was just over $20, so I think it's great for folks just trying out larp who may not be sure if they like it or not just yet- however, I definitely would rather not put even more money into Bezos pocket. So I see your point there. I've also pretty recently gotten into buying refurbished larp weapons from larp retailers. They usually just have very minor cosmetic flaws, and are at quite the discounted rate because of that! I've had some great luck so far with these. Thanks again for taking the time for all your input. I'm sure it's going to be super helpful for a lot of people!
@@ayecarlie I like larpmix/larpgasm's videos. They're not the most algorithm-friendly, but his advice is sound. You can definitely tell he's a seasoned player with experience across many games and genres. I have the problem of getting REALLY obsessive over a hobby, and sank like $200 into my first initial purchase because I was planning to wear it to my sisters Halloween wedding. (It did not arrive in time.) Luckily for me, most games have some sort of Viking equivalent so I'll be able to use it across multiple games. A super handy tip I got early on was to find kit that can be used for more than one game/character. I almost spent like $900 on custom dwarf armor, but took the time to think about it, realizing beyond this one human that happened to get employed by a very well-to-do dwarf lord, I could only use it for dwarf characters, and that's $900 I could spend on something more generalized I can wear more often. I would also need it okay'd for HEMA and SCA. Fantasy armor, regardless of craftsmanship, isn't gonna pass their standards.
I can never find any pictures or videos of that style of tasset online, thanks for including them. Did you have to buy two or just one, because some listings for tassets say they're sold in sets of one, and some dont say anything at all.
Of course! I hate that it is so difficult to find reference pictures for armor and you dont know what you get until it arrives. This set was sold separately and I had to buy 2 to make a pair!
Thanks a lot for the tutorial!! I really like that you show your result. Makes it easy to decide to try this pattern :)
I make armor and I could make you some of the pieces you are missing.
You at the end in your armor is so cute. ha
i hate you you will never be famos
I hate you
You are so beautiful... 🥰
Also tinwhistles are a good starter instrument if you actually want to play something, costs like $10 at most and pretty easy to pick up
One think you could also do is make an Irish Bodran style drum. Just buy an old circular cake form and tie and tention your fabric that way. Will look a bit like a scaled down shamanic drum
Thank you !! I am about to start my season at the Southern California Renaissance Faire and I was looking for a simple Pants Pattern.
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Your channel is so wholesome
Great video!
dude, my brother just sent me this video, and she is my twin but just older😯
More armor vids please! Eager to see how your cosplay/larping is coming! I LOVE my Markward armor. Got the same set you did, and still waiting on the arm pieces to show. Have you added anything cool to your setup?
Will do! I'm so glad you like it, too! I still love my set as well. I'm working on building a gambeson for it, but life got so busy, I haven't picked it back up in a while.
Best community on Twitch! (: Hope 2022 will treat you great, friendo

PFT. Okay maybe sometimes 😅 And thank yoou. I appreciate it <3
Creepy Monster: Boo Carly: Barajajahububuwoo
thanks for the video. good advice about just doing it and not letting anything be in your way. if you do not get it the way you want it now you know a way not to do your build and the next one will be even better
I'm no expert in the field of armor personally, so can't say too much in regards to it. That being said; The armor looks pretty good! Maybe some little shaping here and there and it'll look even better. If you don't want to go with a solid breastplate and want to rock more the look you currently have in this video you can use a brigandine, or fashion something up to look like it. Would keep the appeal/look you got going at the moment.
Thanks SO MUCH!! Ive watched dozens of cape and cloak making videos and while all were understandable....this tutorial made the most SENSE and was the most FUN TO MAKE:) Your patternless design was perfect and the kids and I had a blast making them. Thanks again, keep up th great work!!
I'm so glad you guys had fun with it! I also watched a lot of other videos, but just wanted something suuuper simple and straightforward, myself.
