I was at the Paris show with my daughter Andrea, saw Peter the first time in 1973 for the foxtrot tour , been a real fan of this marvellous artist since, never missed a show, Io was great and the new songs touched my heart deeply . I'm 71, still alive and well .Thank you very much for the upload.
Foxtrot! it must have been great. I was there, in Paris, but for the lambs then La Courneuve for the start of his solo career. Laugh - I'm 66 and still alive - wink
I am 67 years old, the first concert in Portugal... in a free Portugal open to the world after the Carnation Revolution on April 25, 1974 was here very close to Lisbon in Cascais Genesis on tour The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway The double concert by Genesis, in Cascais, on March 6 and 7, 1975, marked a generation of young people who came from all over the country to see the first major rock show held in Portugal. At the time, the band had reached the peak of its creative period, becoming an icon for progressive rock fans who, naturally, considered themselves the ultimate in good musical taste. I have the concert brochure, as well as the ticket and the double vinyl album.❤
Me too. Their music truly has been a soundtrack for my life as well during many periods. I love that we were living during the time that they were making this wonderful music!
63 today w/an extremely rare auto immune disease, C.I.D.P., it's a mouthful but I was at least able to see Rock, Paper, Scissors at one of their limited stops in 2016 as well as the Chicago I/O stop on 9/30/24. In '73 I was too little @ 12 but when I saw Seconds Out in '77 I quickly back pedaled the entire Gabriel Genesis period catalogue cranking out the BEST Prog. ever & made up for lost time by attending every Gabriel solo tour stop from 1977 through 2024 with 2 exceptions, GABACBRIEL aka 6 of the Best aka Milton Keynes Bowl + the Story of Ovo: The Millennium Show(I wish I could have been in London for that show)....we were fortunate to do a 2 day Amnesty & 1 3 day W.O.M.A.D., both of which were like none other & long before the pay off the 'TEAMSTERS' Benefit in the Rain show. I hope he comes out sooner than 20 years to play with his friends and have fun with the audience just as the members of 'BEAT' are doing right now!....I know that Tony's having a Blast vibin' with Belew, Vai & Carey. What a show that was at Chicago's Copernicus Center. Nothing against Robert but the Beat quintet is alot more animated & sharing the audiences enthusiasm for them. Seeing Tony Levin just kickin' it on stick, Vai's precision craft, Belew's incredible instrument & pedal magic all topped off Tool's Danny Carey drumming & mechanical wizardry begs for them to retour the U.S.A.. Sorry, Gabriel got tangentially twisted in with BEAT-The Music of '80s King Crimson. Gimmie more each as long as I'm able to stand & balance...Peace. Tick-Tock---the musical box
Thanks for sharing. I have a feeling that this might be it. I saw the Dallas BEAT show and it was FANTASTIC! Fripp brings the darkness to KC, that was missing from the show, but otherwise some of the best musicians ever bringing back 80's KC in fine form!
Wow. I’m almost in tears here. This was such a great concert. He may be old, but he still rocks. As do Tony, David and Manu. I was so happy that night. Thank you for this lovely recording!
So glad you enjoyed it! That's why I put this together - so others can revisit an amazing performance with an incredible lineup of musicians. I knew it was going to be good, but I was completely blown away about how GREAT it was.
Oh Man...THIS is EXACTLY why I felt moved to and spent the time to put this together - so that others who love his music, and who couldn't be there now GET the chance to experience it in a unique way. Thanks for finding this concert!
For me there are two songs which are timeless but are growing as Peter still is. Feeling his passion in Don't give up and Beko now is like sharing the PG energy flow. PG. Thanks for this.
I've never had the chance to see Peter live but have thoroughly enjoyed every live recording. Just happened across this. What a wonderful surprise! TH-cam is a blessing. Here you go, have a little Peter Gabriel to heal you on your way. 💙 💙 💙 ✌️ ☮️ 🕊 🌎 ♥️ ⚫️
Peter Gabriel 🎉 the maestro 🌟 "Don't Give Up" is so incredible. At first, I was missing Paula Cole's wonderful voice; but then this beauty took us to church ⛪️ the gospel south. Mixed with Peter's amazing singing brought tears to my eyes once again. 💖 Thank you, Peter, for such deep, and uplifting, healing music 🎶 🙏 🕉
What a great female vocalist on Don't Give Up. Kate Bish did original duet right. Shed love this duet. Amazing Peter's voice. Loved him since the 80s and later even liked him after listening to him leading early Genesis.
Yes, Kate Bush was the original duet vocalist, and I agree - the new vocalist has an amazing spirit in both her voice and musical instrument. She lights up with love!
Yes no.1 in my book & what really blew my mind with his interactive music game ~ Eve~ got to mix his songs, amazing graphics & that had choice of instruments...get past level, get more instruments ❤ 🎉
"We've always felt that we're so important. We thought the sun rotated around the earth 🌎 but then discovered the earth revolves around the sun. We continue to think that everything revolves around us. But maybe we're just a part of everything." 🕉 ☀️ 🌙 🌔 🌟
NYC MSG Late 80s Mr Gabriel a Peruvian spectator, Green neon lights Magical music Magical voice, I surrender ! Vico, Rain rain, Solsburry...that voice that kills instruments I have nothingelse to say.
I grew up in the 70s whilst Peter was still with Genesis. I loved his first three solo albums, but nothing he has done since (and I have followed him closely since) can match his early output. Very much a triumph of style over substance these days.
Wanted to see him and the band so very much in the Netherlands. But tickets were over 200 euro’s each! And they say art and culture should be for everybody… 😢
The opening song is by John Metcalfe (his string Orchestrator) and it is called "Root to Leaf" part one and part two. I too thought it was incredibly beautiful, so I added the official video to the beginning and the set break to feel just like the show.
It's good to see Gabriel has abandoned his strange practice of wearing a headset microphone while singing into a hand-held mic, which I never understood.
He just did it free up his hands while he would sing and move around the stage. The fisheye lens on "Digging In The Dirt" back then (1993) was ridiculous as everyone in the band had one on, which made wild looking perspective visuals!
Sorry but the sound is muddy and the cinematography amateurish. Apparently both audio and video recorded on cell phones. I found it nearly impossible to understand the lyrics under these circumstances. In other words, this video is misleadingly billed as if it were shot and mixed by professionals. Instead it is virtually unlistenable.
GREAT show!!!!
SO GLAD you dig it! It was an amazing experience LIVE and in person.
I was there, and mesmerized the entire time.
Best. Show. Ever.
It truly was a "magical" night. Even better than 20 years ago. I love the new music.
All his tours have been amazing, but there was indeed something special about this one!
So true. So very true
@@kurtkistler2643 I was also there! Row G, seat 6. I drove down from OKC. What a great experience.

Great job! What a pity for some moments lost. I was in Milan. Waiting for official PG DVD tour...
I figure this would "tide" the fans over until there was an actual physical release, if that ever happens.

@kurtkistler, why is the video having trouble jumping and breaking songs up?
What is the opening song here before the show starts? I was at the Buffalo show and heard it played there before Peter came out. It’s a beautiful song
The opening song is by John Metcalfe (his string Orchestrator) and it is called "Root to Leaf" part one and part two. I too thought it was incredibly beautiful, so I added the official video to the beginning and the set break to feel just like the show.

@@RebeccaTurner-ny1xx A regular mounted microphone sounds better than a hands free mic and they each serve a purpose.
