thank you so much for being here for me while I took apart my printer. You were easy to understand and I enjoyed your voice and how you presented the material.
You're an absolute genius!!! You've helped me immensely and I am forever thankful. I've been told so much rubbish by those self acclaimed "experts", (let's just call them that;)), that I almost believed fixing anything was impossible for me. Thank you, good job! :)
Thanks. Works perfect for my Canon MG3650S. Horizontal alignment is all over the shop so i am cleaning the horizontal ribbon but just stuck releasing the heads to get to the sensor. you should magnetize your bit so that screws stay attached and do not drop inside. Just touch a magnet to it. I use a magnet from a scrap hard drive. I used to use an old TV speaker magnet. Thanks again.
Do you have anything about replacing the waste ink absorption pads on a 3600 those felt pads on the right hand side of the unit? I got them out and rinsed them out but have no idea on the way they go back into the plastic tray thing and in what order or direction
Whelp, congratulations to me. Just broke my printer in the process of trying to open it. Damaged one of the white strips on the side while trying to disconnect it.
Mine became frozen with the green light stuck on 4X6 paper. Could not factory reset it. After nearly 11 years I can't see fixing this only to be victimized into buying more precious ink cartridges. Thank goodness both inks were down to about 1/3 before it died. Got an Epson Ecotank and loving the bottle. Uninstalled all that Canon Windows XP based software! I know your channel is all about fixing things but sometimes you gotta cut your losses :)
Excellent video!!! I've subscribed. Have you ever gone deeper into the machine? I have a pixma mg3650s, identical to this one. The rubber has come off one of the paper pickup rollers. I would need to go another layer down into the printer. Very daunting!! Would you suggest giving it a go?
Yes, I think the paper tray is probably the area most people need to get to. I'm just trying to find out how to get in there so I can see why the rollers are no longer rolling. *SIGH*
@@alloyjane 1st thing to do is look inside the paper tray, right at the back. You'll need a torch. Check to see if the rollers still have the rubber 'tyres' on them. They are dark grey. That was the problem with mine. 1 of them had come off. Managed to fix it....... very fiddly!!!
Do you have any steps/video on changing the nozzles? Mine is printing and missing letters. I printed a nozzle check multiple times after doen multiple cleaning/deep cleaning through the software and its still showing that the nozzles are clogged.
Replacing roller is not an easy task and will most likely end up a broken piece. Is there a reason for replacing the roller? Usually, it only needs a cleaning.
@@303electronics Hi, In my MG3650 roller not spinning and I get an error "no paper... Load paper". Does it mean something with sensor (if exist) or mechanical/electronical issue
Hello and nice video on the pixma mg3620 and I have a question my unit stop seeing paper even though it is full I have done all kinds of maintenance but nothing has worked any ideas ??
Doesn't look nearly as difficult as the other printer that I've been hanging onto. I dropped a waste pad inside this one and can't find it. Hopefully this will help. Much less daunting than the mx920. Thanks!
FYI - that's not a screw driver. I believe it's called a power drill, or perhaps an impact driver. Philips screw driver is on of them there hand powered devices. No button or trigger, just uh turning... no smoke either, unless you're being really crazy!
It seems like a lot of work to remove a paper jam. I would probably damage the printer in the process of opening it. 😢 Canon won't even tell me where to take it to get it fixed.
If you need a printer software, just search the internet for it. I usually just put the "(printer model) driver software". Most printer manufacturers will have it on their site for free.
I just picked one of these up from a neighbor off the curb, free, and I have no idea what's wrong with it, should I bother or let a 'profesh' like yourselves handle it😅😶
real talk, this is an 18 minute video for how to open a printer, via the removal of a few screws and the panels that the screws are holding down... 30 seconds script - "Find screws, open them, remove any side pieces that are removable now -cut- and here are the locations of the stupid clamps, rinse repeat screw removal and panel removal until complete.18 minutes is bonkers, I lit could just have started removing screws as dictated by common sense and would've probably got the damn printer open in less time than would take me to finish this video. And dude ain't even removing the right screw sometimes! -facepalm-

Omg, so much work!
Unbelievable you have to disassemble the printer for a paper jam!

How do you replace the paper roller. I watched you take the printer apart even the scaner. But I couldn't see where you could get to the roller?

All for a jammed piece of paper how disappointing

Back again to say the ink "roller" part doesn't work or move even when plugged in...Any videos or support for that sort of issue?
This is a completely worthless video.
Thank you for sharing your opinion. Have a great day!
