    John, another great composition with good commentary! Thanks. Also what was that mop brush you started with? Looked like it held so much water and so so smooth!

      My mop brushes are Raphael Soft Aqua. They are excellent squirrel imitation brushes!

    I have never seen Chinese white used this way....it seems to turn your building color into an opaque one. Why do you use this in your painting...what is the rationale for adding white? Thanks Kathryn

      I almost use it as a thickening agent, it helps me create some lighter greys

      I use Arches rough paper. 12 x 9 is the most common size. Paper makes a huge difference and I really recommend using a nicer brand like Arches
