I did a similar landscape recently but I picked up burnt sienna and ultramarine blue. Let me tell you, those 2 pigment are pure magic. They create strong warm and cool areas and perfect gradation of grey. Soooo cool

Where do you get your reference pictures for these cityscapes?

One day, I asked, “Who was that guy that was so rough on his brushes? I’d like to see what he’s up to.” So I searched for you on YT and found you again. But then you took a break and I thought maybe you quit YT. Still, I checked back now and then. I like this painting, I should try it (the technique & style). I’ll look for a cheap brush in my stash to ‘abuse’ so I can get that nice effect that I saw in this video (although I’m not sure I have the heart 😆). Welcome back!
