- Part 14 of a 100% walkthrough for Banjo-Tooie (Xbox Live Arcade version). This is part 1 of Hailfire Peaks. The worlds are large in Banjo-Tooie so I'll be breaking up most of them into two videos. This will be a 100% walkthrough showing the location all jiggies, music notes, homeycomb pieces, jinjos, glowbos, cheato pages, etc. I'll try to include time stamps for all notable events and collectibles in this video.

Whenever I played this level, I always do the bosses first, because they won't bother you anymore after that.
I would do that first as well.
Dude this game is gigantic.
And was able to fit on a n64...no downloadable content needed
Zakk Rios that was insane back in the day. They really pushed the N64 up to its limits...

Yes but Microsoft owns them and the IP, so unless after the smash collaboration they feel generous I doubt it'll happen.
If I'm wrong I'll be happy as I love banjo and kazooie, def In my top games of all time.

I remember when I saw chilly's body for the first time, I lost it. This game is sensational.
This level is so dark with the dead alien and frozen sabreman . I laughed so hard when that biggafoots big foot got hit by the ice ball lol. Also killing Mrs ice cube
God damn it, this game brings back so many great memories. I'd Stay up late during summer playing it on my n64. It was such a blast, I didn't have a care in the world. I still have my copy but, I no longer own my n64.

The N64 version had a horrible frame rate drop in this level on the Lava Side.
i feel bad for the nintendo 64; it must've got really hot when playing banjo-tooie
This game really pushed the N64 to its limit. I remember my brother and I having give the console breaks because this game caused the system to run hot.

it is also bad since as far as i know the nintendo 64 doesn't have a fan to cool the console down when it senses the temperature of the circuits is enough to combust

It’s best to take out Chilly Willy and Chili Billi right out of the gate to make it safer to explore Hailfire Peaks without getting attacked from the sky every 10 seconds.

Hailfire Peaks pays homage to Crystal Caves from Donkey Kong 64 as Chilli Billi and Chilly Willy launch projectiles against the player in their respective areas until you defeat them the same way the Giant Kosha rains stalactites on the player until he is eliminated in Crystal Caves.

After fighting Weldar in Grunty Industries, the dragons don't seem like such a big deal.

Loved this world. Saving the last alien child on the high ledge took me a while though. Figuring out that you had to use Hatch was a bit weird. Icicle Grotto part was hard too. At least it was before I figured out that you could shoot the icicles at the top to form a bridge across.

Also, a world that’s half-hot and half-cold? Sounds like an ideal home for Shoto Todoroki.
It's kind of similar to the Freezeflame Galaxy and the Shiverburn Galaxy.

It's snooze pack! You learn it on Grunty Industries inside the top of the compactor.

First time I played through this game, I also fought Willy (ice dragon) first
1,000-hertz scanning, OVER 9,000!!! channels, Dullby 5.1 Surround, 15 "scart sockets" (whatever those are), AND three remotes!?! Where do I get that TV? :D

If you beat Chilly Willy first in the ICY SIDE - He has 6 HP and if you bet Chilly Billy second in the FIRE SIDE - He has 12 HP.
Kazooie then interrogates BILLY, the fire dragon, by saying "you fiery fool".
Boggy Might be One of Banjo’s Alternate Costumes Which would be a White Banjo with Yellow Backpack and a Kazooie Alt that’s Red, Blue & Green to Reference Boggy’s Children

MrBjnelson No, there are no real differences except minor things with the Stop N Swap stuff and the graphics/framerate have been improved.

I kinda wish Microsoft didn’t buy rare company. It had so much potential for Nintendo genre. It would be epic in gameplay for switch but sad to see it went downhill.
