The intelligence rating for Dogo is a joke, they are by far the smartest breed I've ever owned. My dogo learned to count to 5 in a handful of tries, understands more English than I care for, and is always eager to learn more. All dogs can be friendly it socialized property, Dogos are very pack oriented though and introducing new animals later in their lives is not easy as they have already established their pack heirarchy.
My Dogo has picked up everything I taught it immediately. I taught her a 360 degree spin going to her right from scratch the other night. From not knowing this command to me putting my hands behind my back and other commands being mixed in and all it took was a small chunk of ham to see surprisingly satisfying results. Like it was a known command in 10 minutes. Certainly far more intelligent than this video claims. This is why we had a dislike bar....
@@MrSomecrackhead We have severe weather at times and when I tell my Dogo to remind me tomorrow morning for her walk, she will wait until I'm awake and walk to her leash and give me the look. She also understands the difference between that and when I say after work or other daytimes. She gets very excited about her walks but sits completely still when being leashed because it's the rule, no command needed.

We have a CC Doggo cross and he is the most affectionate dog we've ever owned! Very VERY true that they so NOT like to be left alone - and not a good breed for novice dog owners.

A lot of inaccuracies for the Dogo argentino. Dogos have more energy than a cane corso by far. This is a cane corso lover more than a Dogo argentino I can tell.
We have a 2 yr old that our dogo literally eats out his hand so gently. We got him at 3 months and he was already affectionate and gentle and definitely hates being alone too long!!
I currently own both dogs and this video is a joke. It's all about the person that owns them. Dogo's and Corso's are extremely intelligent and can be used for literally anything. If socialized properly and trained by a calm consistent hand these dogs will be the best dogs you can own. Very adaptable to whatever their owner wants to do. Although, absolutely not for first time dog owners for sure.
There both amazing breeds. It depends on your intent. If your hunting it's no contest. Dogos are some of the best catch dogs in the world. Dogo's are also smarter than given credit and very easy to train. Most people don't know what they are though. They think there a big pit bull. ( My experience anyway) CCs have gained alot of popularity here in the states for good reason. Both great dogs that need responsible owners. If your just going to tie them up in the back yard. It will eventually end up bad for u and the dog. There not for everyone.

I have two of each of these breeds... they both work effectively as a team as well! I do separate the two at two different properties so they’re not social with one another but they do smell each other often enough! Both breeds are fed the same raw diet and both have amazing agility! I have rules with these breeds and that is do not introduce anyone to the Argentinians because they’re unpredictable and have very low social skills because it is a working farm and does not have many visitors. The corsos however are at my family farm and actively having people coming and going so these were trained differently. Much more social and much more attentive. I do however trust their judgment when it comes to people. So they’re excellent for personal protection training. Both breeds are perfect farm dogs but obviously both need time and training and money cause they’re diets are not cheap!

Although I must warn you that you need to establish dominance over the dog both mentally and physically if need be! … and so does every member of your household! These are not poodles 🐩 and to train them as such could result in a failed attempt at training this breed correctly!
@@AF-py9iw well said, I have a young cane Corsa and a rottweiler both male I love Rottweiler's... but my cane Corsa he's not friendly with strangers. And he's very prey driven very loving and playful but not with strangers.. but your right you have to train them and always be the alpha or he will take charge... When saying that Rottweiler's are the same too. They are not stranger friendly but both Beautiful dogs

I have one corso, It is the second that i have, and i must say that both have been friendly with other dogs and live perfectly in a flat. You only need to have a walk with them 3 times on day and socialize them with other dogs since puppies. Im in love with thes breed.

The most aggressive dogs I've ever seen are Dogo Argentino's and Kangal's. Doesn't make them bad dogs, just scary af if protection and guarding is what they have been raised to do. There's a giant Kangal called a Malakli, not a common breed but an angry one of them would be terrifying.
kangal is the least aggressive but the most strongest. idk where you are getting your information from but they tend to not get into any altercations unless the other dog attacks them or they are in protective mode. dogos on the other hand are very aggressive indeed
they have some similarity, no question. The Dogo is a little more hunting dog, and a little less guard dog - however the things they hunt are often large and very strong boars, big cats, etc. - they're not duck hunting dogs - so they can run a little faster, and longer than the Cane Corse. The Cane Corse has a little more in its make-up that make it a guard dog to guard against human intruders. They are both very strong dogs, should have a lot of land to run on - and you have to be a little careful with both because they are both very serious guard dogs, and not everybody should own one. For your typical person who actually needs and wants a guard dog, you're probably better off with a German Shepherd or a Doberman which are both a lot more trainable.
I’m amazed that people want a ‘smart’ dog. They’ve clearly never owned one. I had a brilliant rottie/lab mix. He was smart. He got all of his ice and water out of the fridge. He could unlock and open sash windows. We had a walkout basement and for some reason he would open and jump out of the 2 storey side. He could unlock and open sliding glass doors. We lived in as area with about 16 houses that backed up to a cornfield. No street lights as it wasn’t actually in town. If he didn’t come in at night we had to go out with a flashlight to ‘find’ him. I use the term loosely. We discovered that he would be right near us playing the ‘stay out of the flashlight beam’. He would only stop the game if you saw him out of the corner of your eye and look at him. He was wonderful, we all loved him and he loved his humans. I’m just saying that most people think ‘smart’ means easily trained. It does not. That would be an amiable or pleasing dog. Go ahead…get one. I dare you
Own both of this breeds and i will say this video is not accurate, my Dogo has a slight advantage. one of them by far is energy level. I ride my bike for well over 4-5miles and my dogo could keep up and ready for more. On the other hand my chunky CC is done after 2miles. I love them both and absolutely great with my kids.
I like both breeds. Both beautiful dogs imo. I'm a pitbull owner and these 2, in general, remind me of larger and more powerful pitbull. How are they at cuddling?? Pits are the best cuddlers I've experienced :)
i have been living with Cane Corso's for 7 years and the family friendly rate should be 5 out of 5 because if you love them enough, they are the most loving dogs ever
Absolutely! It's their pack orientation. Our CC sees us as her pack and has been trained to ignore everything else, unless she sees it as a threat. Kind, loving at home and really intelligent, but always on guard. Not always easy to handle as they are perfectly capable of making independent decisions, but as with most breeds, it's about the consequent training - definitely not the breed for a first-time dog owner!
Own both breeds to simplify things dogo are for land/property owners and corso are for house guard dogs. Dogo are pure work dog and corso has limitations that why there just good house dogs. Kinda like a car vs a commercial vehicle

Even in the US where they aren't restricted they are still exceedingly rare. While I've come across plenty of corsos I've only ever had the pleasure of meeting one argentino. A large pure white named Pax. Super loving docile giant but that dog would be absolutely terrifying if it wasn't. It was twice the size of my APBT/Lab mix, but built to similar proportions. Where the corsos tend to have a lot of extra heft this argentino was lean chiseled muscle. A dream dog ever since.
@@BmxDieseldude I live in Texas and I have a 3 year old male Dogo that's about 130 pounds. The most common comment I get would be is he a giant Pitbull? When I explain what he is and where they come from its usually still does he have some Pitbull in him? I don't care much I love Pitties and have had several but it's true most people in the U.S. have no idea what a Dogo is.

A cane has 700 psi a dogo 500 psi wount make much difference on a human both will shred u to pieces and dogo's are guard dogs by them self I own one didn't have to teach him to guard he does it no matter what
I have a rehomed deaf Dogo mixed. My first experience with this breed. He’s 5 years old. I’ve had him for 6 mos now. he’s really got a cool dude personality. Wonderful with my sm all grandkids. He adapted well & is king of the ponderosa now. He’s a trip!
Corso much better to train and will make a good IPO dog if trained right. Dogo not so much, I have not seen an IPO dogo or with high level training. Both amazing dog.
bruh u have no clue about damn thing… I have female Dogo, never showed any kind of aggression (only when its attacked by other dogs), and easy learning new stuff and open for training and exercises… My friend has pitbull, not aggressive at all, but i can say they are harder for training and learning new commands if we compare with dogo
The Dogo , Cane Corso, Presa I put in same Catagory . There are some Differences but All 3 are Formative. Not for Novice Dog owners. Dogo and Presa are more Run Catch Type Herding. Cane Corso is more suited for Family Guard Dog. All 3 can be a Family guard Dog but the Dogo And Presa are very Independent. Cane more among to please . I personally owned PRESA throughout the years. Been around Cane and Dogo which are Awesome as well. Presa and Dogo require More Work although all 3 are Lovable and very protective. Put it this way if your intruder. You don't want to get on the wrong side of any of these Breeds. They can be very Scary. Suggestion. Skip the Household.

I just got a dogs in February. He just turned 1. I love him! Quiet, loyal, loving and smart and he was easy to train. He 110lbs already! Only thing, they are very strong and need exercise or they will destroy your furniture lol! I paid 6k for him and he worth it! The only thing I don’t agree with in video is intelligence rating. They smart just silent with it. And they can b dog friendly if u socialize them early. They just play a little rougher tho lol.

Someone has obviously never owned a Dogo. They are super smart dogs, and LOVE kids. My children were 5 when I got my Dogo Hadji.
We have a 2 yr old that our dogo literally eats out his hand so gently. We got him at 3 months and he was already affectionate and gentle and definitely hates being alone too long!!
I currently own both dogs and this video is a joke. It's all about the person that owns them. Dogo's and Corso's are extremely intelligent and can be used for literally anything. If socialized properly and trained by a calm consistent hand these dogs will be the best dogs you can own. Very adaptable to whatever their owner wants to do. Although, absolutely not for first time dog owners for sure.

There both amazing breeds. It depends on your intent. If your hunting it's no contest. Dogos are some of the best catch dogs in the world. Dogo's are also smarter than given credit and very easy to train. Most people don't know what they are though. They think there a big pit bull. ( My experience anyway) CCs have gained alot of popularity here in the states for good reason. Both great dogs that need responsible owners. If your just going to tie them up in the back yard. It will eventually end up bad for u and the dog. There not for everyone.

I have two of each of these breeds... they both work effectively as a team as well! I do separate the two at two different properties so they’re not social with one another but they do smell each other often enough! Both breeds are fed the same raw diet and both have amazing agility! I have rules with these breeds and that is do not introduce anyone to the Argentinians because they’re unpredictable and have very low social skills because it is a working farm and does not have many visitors. The corsos however are at my family farm and actively having people coming and going so these were trained differently. Much more social and much more attentive. I do however trust their judgment when it comes to people. So they’re excellent for personal protection training. Both breeds are perfect farm dogs but obviously both need time and training and money cause they’re diets are not cheap!

I would have to go with the Cane Corso for a family guard dog! Although I must warn you that you need to establish dominance over the dog both mentally and physically if need be! … and so does every member of your household! These are not poodles 🐩 and to train them as such could result in a failed attempt at training this breed correctly!

And he's very prey driven very loving and playful but not with strangers.. but your right you have to train them and always be the alpha or he will take charge... When saying that Rottweiler's are the same too. They are not stranger friendly but both Beautiful dogs

I have one corso, It is the second that i have, and i must say that both have been friendly with other dogs and live perfectly in a flat. You only need to have a walk with them 3 times on day and socialize them with other dogs since puppies. Im in love with thes breed.

The most aggressive dogs I've ever seen are Dogo Argentino's and Kangal's. Doesn't make them bad dogs, just scary af if protection and guarding is what they have been raised to do. There's a giant Kangal called a Malakli, not a common breed but an angry one of them would be terrifying.

kangal is the least aggressive but the most strongest. idk where you are getting your information from but they tend to not get into any altercations unless the other dog attacks them or they are in protective mode. dogos on the other hand are very aggressive indeed

they have some similarity, no question. The Dogo is a little more hunting dog, and a little less guard dog - however the things they hunt are often large and very strong boars, big cats, etc. - they're not duck hunting dogs - so they can run a little faster, and longer than the Cane Corse. The Cane Corse has a little more in its make-up that make it a guard dog to guard against human intruders. They are both very strong dogs, should have a lot of land to run on - and you have to be a little careful with both because they are both very serious guard dogs, and not everybody should own one. For your typical person who actually needs and wants a guard dog, you're probably better off with a German Shepherd or a Doberman which are both a lot more trainable.
I’m amazed that people want a ‘smart’ dog. They’ve clearly never owned one. I had a brilliant rottie/lab mix. He was smart. He got all of his ice and water out of the fridge. He could unlock and open sash windows. We had a walkout basement and for some reason he would open and jump out of the 2 storey side. He could unlock and open sliding glass doors. We lived in as area with about 16 houses that backed up to a cornfield. No street lights as it wasn’t actually in town. If he didn’t come in at night we had to go out with a flashlight to ‘find’ him. I use the term loosely. We discovered that he would be right near us playing the ‘stay out of the flashlight beam’. He would only stop the game if you saw him out of the corner of your eye and look at him. He was wonderful, we all loved him and he loved his humans. I’m just saying that most people think ‘smart’ means easily trained. It does not. That would be an amiable or pleasing dog. Go ahead…get one. I dare you
Own both of this breeds and i will say this video is not accurate, my Dogo has a slight advantage.
one of them by far is energy level. I ride my bike for well over 4-5miles and my dogo could keep up and ready for more. On the other hand my chunky CC is done after 2miles. I love them both and absolutely great with my kids.

Absolutely! It's their pack orientation. Our CC sees us as her pack and has been trained to ignore everything else, unless she sees it as a threat. Kind, loving at home and really intelligent, but always on guard. Not always easy to handle as they are perfectly capable of making independent decisions, but as with most breeds, it's about the consequent training - definitely not the breed for a first-time dog owner!

Even in the US where they aren't restricted they are still exceedingly rare. While I've come across plenty of corsos I've only ever had the pleasure of meeting one argentino. A large pure white named Pax. Super loving docile giant but that dog would be absolutely terrifying if it wasn't. It was twice the size of my APBT/Lab mix, but built to similar proportions. Where the corsos tend to have a lot of extra heft this argentino was lean chiseled muscle. A dream dog ever since.

When I explain what he is and where they come from its usually still does he have some Pitbull in him? I don't care much I love Pitties and have had several but it's true most people in the U.S. have no idea what a Dogo is.

I have a rehomed deaf Dogo mixed. My first experience with this breed. He’s 5 years old. I’ve had him for 6 mos now. he’s really got a cool dude personality. Wonderful with my sm all grandkids. He adapted well & is king of the ponderosa now. He’s a trip!

There are some Differences but All 3 are Formative.

Dogo and Presa are more Run Catch Type Herding.
Cane Corso is more suited for Family Guard Dog.

I just got a dogs in February. He just turned 1. I love him! Quiet, loyal, loving and smart and he was easy to train. He 110lbs already! Only thing, they are very strong and need exercise or they will destroy your furniture lol! I paid 6k for him and he worth it! The only thing I don’t agree with in video is intelligence rating. They smart just silent with it. And they can b dog friendly if u socialize them early. They just play a little rougher tho lol.
