This is a sketch I feel worked better in the radio version. The mental imagery of a TV "pouring lizards" into a house is far weirder in the imagination than the TV version managed. However, having the exact same cast do the sketch again for TV helps preserve the surreal energy that the original had.
0:08 - the way the repairman reacts when he hears the TV is full of lizards suggests that this problem has happened before, and that to me absolutely makes this sketch.
I thought Mark Heap was incredible as Alan Statham in Greenwing, but after discovering JAM only a couple of days ago he went up in my books. He has a manic, almost Rik Mayall vibe about him in this show (excluding the Drs waiting room scenes). This and the House Selling scene are my new favourites from Mark! Amazing creepiness without being OTT full on horror/psycho!
This is a fantastic satire of the nepotism that permeates all aspects of British society. Mr Lizard was hired by a family member, "another Mr Lizard", and is clearly incompetent and rude. Safe in the knowledge that he will never be sacked by his kin.
Like a modern day Tales of the Unexpected! 2:39 is one of my favourite Mark Heap moments. Of course 'The Actor' Kevin Eldon & Amelia Bullmore just brilliant as always
Ooh fancy seeing you here lol. I'm about to upload a DVD update with this show in it. Mark Heap is in loads of British comedy. He's amazing, his facial expressions! lol. You should get Big Train! Stars Simon Pegg and Mark Heap amongst others. It's hilarious.
Eldon and Heap - the BBC should be begging them to work together again but I guess the BBC are too busy congratulating themselves on commissioning another series of Mrs Brown's Boys...
just found this great series, but looks like I'll have to just watch this here on youtube because I can't find any shop that sells the seasons. even the torrent sites seem to lack this show, such a shame
Yup Seasons 1 & 2 released together like it was here! Its a sketch show but one of the best! I'm not a fan of Little Britain because this is how a sketch show should be done! Simon Pegg is awesome in it and it has loads of great British comedy actors.
i hate it when lizards come out of my television, i had this problem about 4 weeks ago. I managed to get an anti lizard device fitted to the cable, they sell them in Maplins for £29.99.
@HikiLuoma The funny thing is, I went to highschool with a lot of the people who grow up to be those nurses. They were dim as a wet match, and they all planned to go into nursing or something of the like. Terrified me, even then.
Mark Heap always plays a good nutter
Sweep them up.
Kevin Eldon devolving into a completely incomprehensible rage is one of the funniest things ever broadcast on British TV
its an empathy test. you failed.
@@jcfbell3001

@@jcfbell3001I can suсk my own dісk sometimes, it feels pretty good but afterwards I’m just sad

"Wipe them off the screen with windscreen wipers." I love that line.
no need to swear sir

In a lot of the sketches it's actually the original radio audio dubbed over them lip synching
Aphex in the background makes it so much more tense
Damn straight
Early Aphex Twin playing in the background another atmosphere creating innovator
@d that album was released in 94. His debut record was in 91. I think that constitutes 'early', especially over a 30 year career
@@MrJohnQCitizen if it's off an album a few years into a 30 year career then surely that's early?

Spot on. Such a clever face, it pulls the whole thing together. He’s seen this before 🤣
Of course Mr. Lizard has had it happen before
Fucking nincompoop
This is pure genius!
Mark Heap is one of the best comedy actors around. What an incredible man.
Oh England.... how I love thine warped sense of humour.
It's 'thy' not 'thine.'
I love Chris Morris' love for Mark Heap.
Love this episode. When I saw it as a kid, I knew right there and then that I was going to be a Lizard when I grew up.
🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎🦎
Mark Heap is my favourite actor. He's great in spaced.
There's moments in spaced, Friday night dinner, and jam that show how his style is unique to him
@@uber-cg8vq dont forget green wing
Even better in green wing
Possibly my favourite comedy sketch ever. Sheer genius
Love it when he says 'no, you sweep them up'! haha, his expression is amazing!
aphex twin in the background
I remember watching this when I was high. Really changed me and shaped my life
It's the law in Britain that Kevin Eldon and Mark Heap have to appear in all comedies
One of the few recent laws I'm actually in favour of.
2:29 - For some reason, "fucking nincompoop" really gets me.
Absolutely fantastic sketch, though
Why are people calling him Mark Heap? He's Mr Lizard...
This always makes me laugh uncontrollably every time i come back to it.
down the wire.. the.. the.. the lizards.
I fudging love this clip.
Being properly trained in Customer Service is important.
I work in Customer Service, the temptation to speak like this tomorrow in work is immense
Mark Heap's talents need to be appreciated more
Chris Morris is a bona fide motherfucking genius.
Why hasn't Kevin Eldon won a BAFTA for something by now, he genuinely is a fine actor
Everyone involved with both this AND Big Train....absolute class......way ahead of it's time and STILL miles infront
Genius. Simple as.
His name is Mr Lizard, or Diseased Halal if you have closed captions on.
Just noticed that Mark Heap is all dressed in green. Maybe he did put the lizards there after all.
Maybe yes.
No, it was the cable company sending lizards through the wires. Pay attention
@@gregjohnson2335 - Or was it the TV owner putting lizards in his own TV?
Hands up who thinks it was David Icke ☝️

My reaction to this on mushrooms;
Wwwwwwwhat the flying fuck is going on?
You filled ya tele with lizards 🦎 😂😂😂
greatest sketch ever
Woah, that's Aphex Twin playing in the background.
"What's your name?"
"Mr Lizard🦎"
"What's your bosses name?"
"Another Mr Lizard🦎"
hahah... could be Mark Heap's finest moment :-)
Showed this to a friend. He said this is “really creepy... Like demon Magick sort of creepy.” Lol

This is some of the funniest shit ever
Every retail worker fantasizes about fucking with rude customers like this lol
God bless Aphex Twin...

I love this so much. A favourite. JAAAAAAM
Should've called the SCP foundation in on this one... :D
Man, I love Jam.
kevin eldon is a great comedian
The lizards consumed them all
I had a TV set delivered by Amazon to the Amazon, and when I plugged it in lizards started coming out of it.

RED MIST Mark Heap is superb here too.
"ANOTHER Mister lizard"

10 lizards dislike this video
this is awesome
The way Mr Lizard (that IS his name) taunts them with a tongue waggle as he leaves, presumably back up the wire, is so funny.
2020 is that TV set.
IS that mark heap?! thats friggin amazing.
Just watching The Amazing Spiderman with Andrew Garfield and all I can think of is Mr Lizard.
I have no response to this except to say that the background music fucking makes it.
Epic dystopian comedy.
hahahah im pretty sure this was the first jam sketch i saw, fucking brilliant
2:47 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard watch this television.

The music is Curtains by Aphex Twin.
