The 2nd apartment is my favorite. The lake view is great and it is the lowest cost option.
I really liked the 4th one. Carpet is not a deal breaker and the city views were incredible. Plus, I love an in-unit washer dryer.
I just moved into a unit with no washer and dryer after living with my parents who had one
I honestly am not sure if anything is worth the downgrade legitimately
It is so inconvient and eats up too much time even when working from home just to take your clothes to the on site laundry room, usually people leave them gross and disgusting especially if your building allows pets, they cost fucking money (not sure if all the buildings do this) so they can make even more profit, you have to be on top of getting your clothes and switching them over so you don't annoy other people (some buildings only have 5 washers or dryers for like 70+ people)... etc...
Whatever you do honestly just don't convince yourself you don't need in-unit laundry. It's NOT worth any trade off. The days where you can just be home watching a movie late and doing laundry are gone and become 2-3 hours you spend doing laundry at night before wanting to just go to bed after making and eating dinner. You can't just leave it overnight in the dryer or anything if you wanted and do it the next day.

I'm digging these apartments, but they're not modern enough for me. When I move back to Chicago I'm going to need a one or two bedroom within the range of 2400 to 3500. I'm cool with kicking in more money if the apartment has a open kitchen with an island, floor to ceiling windows a beautiful skyline view and mind blowing amenities... Preferably, a Southeast corner apartment in River North or facing East in West Loop... I'm so excited to finally go back home. Lol
I'm in the Western burbs... love the 2nd unit with the amazing views.
Number 1 floor to ceiling windows are bomb

Number 2, for sure. Not only is it the cheapest, the views are the best.
My favorites are 1st and 4th. But I would choose the 2nd one for the price and it was ok

The third apartment faces East, not North. It's just over the trains. I would choose the second because of the square footage and the view.

Caira, I've been meaning to contact you after I stay with a friend living in Chicago in August with the intention of exploring neighborhoods to move too.
I'm worried i won't feel really decided after staying for a week and that i should really be looking for a short term furnished short term lease to get a taste of Chicago. Do you deal with any leases like that? Do you have any recommendations where to shop for something like that?
Id pick 2 or 4, i liked 3 but that different flooring in the kitchen really bugs me idk why hahaha

Only thing I wish u made more of these videos and try to venture out a lil further to see what's else available in Chicago not just in the heart of downtown because I don't mind paying 3k a month but I would like to see what else I can get for the same price or further out
