    So awesome to see the Vette going back together. But to me what’s even better is to see your niece wrenching on this car and learning how to actually fix things. Kudos to Emily and Aaron for teaching the next generation!
    So glad Aaron is recovering and that you two are in a good place. God bless

    Don’t hide the struggles you have. Watching that kind of stuff is what keeps your channel realistic and helps keep the average Joe interested. Wrong or right, it’s good to see others struggling sometimes. It helps keep our spirits up when we’re dealing with the same kind of mechanical struggles.

      Morning Y'all... Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but an old trick to keeping your Ralph the tractor planted to the ground, is fill your tires with water, that should keep you safe by giving you enough ballast for the heavier lifts. Only draw back is... You'll have to limit the high speed passes. LOL

    So glad Aaron is doing pretty well after his medical fiasco. I know that after a problem, in my case I never got back to 100%. Aaron is young, hopefully he will be Superman in a while. Love your videos guys. Love this trans rebuild. I had the chance to buy a late model ZO something for $2500, he said clutch blew! Still wasn’t worth it too me. You guys have guts tackling this car!!!!! ❤️👍👍👍👍👍

  • @MM_in_Havasu
    @MM_in_Havasu ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks all good to me! That new shifter rocks.
    Like the tip about sealed bearings, have salvaged several rear axle bearings in the past that are sealed like that after an axle seal failure where the gear oil washes out the grease. Pop the seal out very carefully and rinse the bearing w/brake cleaner, then dry out and repack with good wheel bearing grease! Reinstall w/fresh seal and happy motoring!
    Great job on install, lot of stuff but it falls right into place.(I can say that, being a retired mechanic w/35+ years in the business)go enjoy this car now, and thank you all for a great video! God bless you!

    Congratulations on a difficult rebuild job. Lots of aggravating "small things" to tidy up after the complicated work was done. Great to have your Niece there to help and I liked her 70's Demon T-shirt. Finley was on the job in the background for moral support as usual and had a hard time waiting for a ride.
    It will be fun to see what your next project is going to be!

    About the snake....
    Like Aaron said, "Live, and let live." Until he falls on yer head.
    He's up there solving your rodent problem, and will leave when he's done. The ones he (or she) doesn't eat will move out.
    He's not hurting you, he's helping you.

    Little trick when putting your wheels back on. Raise the car to where the axle is about chest height.Set the wheel on the ground with the outside of the wheel facing away from you.grab the face of the wheel near the ground and pivot it up using the tops of your legs as a pivot point.Weight of the wheel will be resting on your thighs.with some practice you can install very large wheels with ease.Old mechanic taught me that.

    LOL! Years ago I came home and our kitty was hissing at something in the corner of the garage but I couldn't see anything. Later I was under the car and looked over at a small king snake looking at me. Turned out it was the snake doing the hissing at the cat (LOL). Yep bumped my head several times trying to get out from under that car (even though those snakes are not poisonous)!

    no surprised in the slightest that the gearbox worked perfectly, manual boxes can seem daunting but if you have mechanical aptitude and an attention to detail ( 2 things Aaron clearly has buckets of) then they are actually quite simple, not that it isnt a mega achievement because it is but its a job i knew Aaron would take in his stride ❤ love what you guys are doing as ever and a special shoutout to 'The Kid' for being a genuine help to you guys, always really impressed with how capable she is on the tools at her age and its great to see!
