Miley is an amazing singer but she´s underrated for being a Disney star and coming out as a POP artist. Her voice was made for Rock and Country music and she really thrives when she sings one of those genre. I used to absolutely loath Miley Cyrus’ voice. It drove me insane. Then I just found out she was in the wrong genre, because she was absolutely made for these older songs. I’ve heard her do some stellar covers, and I’m really enjoying her newer things. I feel like she found herself through all the challenges, and has really grown into a lovely person. This one isn’t one of my favorites that she sings, but I still love seeing her passion and goofiness.
Not just that but unfortunately she has reinke's edema which has also deepened her sound and added to the rasp. Think about "40 year old smoker voice" while reinke's edema can come from more than smoking, it's seen in a lot of smokers.
