These episodes are usually like 6 months behind the app. I had to leave the app. Discovery or whoever runs it has totally just wrecked it over the past couple years. It's all garbage scripted car shows and very little of shows like this, which was what I originally signed up for
Dulcich is the man! I don't think anyone could dislike the guy. Friendly, knows when to let things slide, smart as a whip, and finds enjoyment in even the little things. Dude knows how to make a good time out of anything! We all should be more like Dulcich. #BeDulcich 😂
Never heard about sparkplugs wires causing that issue before. Good to know. I admire Steves knowledge and how he can explain something so it's easy to understand.
Spark plug wires were made with carbon strands to stop interference in the newly installed radios. Since then it's become more critical to stop all the electronics from bouncing untrusted signals. O2 sensors, for example, are very precise and any interference, including poking the lead wire with a test light can throw it all off.
I enjoy how you think everything through and keep it simple and common sense. A bit of air pressure and shock settings and you will get your 10 second pass.
Yooooo! My hometown racetrack samoa dragstrip! That's awesome. Eureka very rarely gets any type of recognition. I need to watch that episode I had no idea.
Cool...'55-'57 shoeboxes with old-school, stroked, forged crank, aftermarket rods, pistons, heads, intakes and headers small blocks in them are still cool!
I love your show and this car. Could you please - please just primer over the yellow passenger door. No crop duster make over, just a little rustoleum over the banana split yellow. This car deserves this.
Like the previous comment, there's nothing like watching the old school cars drag race. But put a little paint on it, even primer would look better than rust. 👍
I love this series My kind of deal Set the bar way too high then come pretty close to achieving it completely then being satisfied in the end because of all the triumphs in the attempt
Awesome to see more roadkill garage, but it would be bloody awesome to have full episodes again, but I have a question, would putting a gearbox in with liberty cut first and second gears be better for launching and a better time, cheers from australia 🇦🇺
Hard to tell for sure, but looked like the ARP flywheel bolts were going into holes in the flywheel that had not been properly chamfered for that bolt?
When disassembling an engine to diagnose possible problems, I NEVER invert the engine to remove the pan. It can drop tell-tale metal shavings and/or chunks from the bottom of the pan. Easier to diagnose if you find stuff where it "naturally" fell.
Great shifting. 11.00 is great! Only way to go faster is with a blower or a turbo. Put a light weight steel tube suspension on it? Or does it already have that? Fiberglass hood and doors. Its a ripper. Can you put even more timing in it?
Man I went to trade school for auto repair in 72 we used to run around in a 68 Dodge charger RT black we came across a built 440 and put it in with a 4-speed I put a larger fuel line on it got it to run 175 mph not in a quarter mile though we never took it to the drag strip
I like Roadkill Garage a lot more than Roadkill. Roadkill is ok and entertaining. But, I love Roadkill Garage. It is more educational, and you can things you can do to your junk. To make it better…
shoot, align bore the mains if you need to, stud the caps for certain, and get any aftermarket 383 crank in there. Plenty of cruising power and less stress with the extra displacement--probably mellow out that top end design anyway and stay with pump gas compression at 377 cid.
@@TheDavidFreiburger Thanks for responding. That 3rd run was money shifting for sure!! Wish Riverside would hold a 1/4 mi grudge night. CAnt bring myslef to commute for 1/8 mi, dont wanna regear either Car is badazz dude keep it comin!
I thought it was in the 10's with the 350? The 400 rod/stroke isn't made for rpm. After 6500 the power goes flat and doesn't pull, if you're using 5.56 rods. Unless you already have 5.7 or longer rods.
Yesss Roadkill garage are back in youtube but we need More full episodes from Roadkill and roadkill garage back in youtube please
They're not going to put those on TH-cam, if they did that then why would people pay to see them on motor trend?
And Pluto tv
@@mikestraley7201 Motortrend subscription service closed in March.

Or just pay the 4.99 to support them
I will watch 11 second "old school" over the latest greatest computer car any day.. Thanks men!
👍❤️
My favorite show. Two best characters on Motortrend.
Same here, Steve and David are great together.
Steve and Derek from Vice Grip Garage are great together also.
Glad to see these back on TH-cam, Will watch these every time!
I love how gently corrective Dulcich is

Love what these two do
I'm a Mopar man through and through, and love all the RG Mopars, but there's just something so cool about the Field Car. Love it.
Yeah. It's a Chevy.
These guys give me joy in my heart. Great to see it on youtube again.
Roadkill is the BEST..PERIOD! It's a view into the minds of everyone of us hotrod/car guys

@bobwright992
Don't they self-learn and continually analyze multiple times a second?
@@blownaway4371 Absolutely but, if every data link is thrown off allowance what does it read?
TBH I've run copper core spark plug wires with an MSD6A and never had a problem.
Happened to me.I learned the hard way.

Its really cool how modular old cars are
aint that the truth
Two greats at it again!!👍🏻👍🏻
2.5 tenths over a 350 pooch witch one is the pooch now? fun to watch over all thanks freiburger and Dulcich great team.long live roadkill.
I just like watching dulcich get excited at the track
I'm glad you got the antifreeze on the floor thing out of the way right at the beginning. Wouldn't be a proper show without it.
Love those shoebox Chevys Thanks for the show
GOOD JOB BOYS!!!!! So good to see it not stall out!!!!! 11 even NICE!!!!!

Dulcich , looks like you are using 40W hair tonic ,lol
Slick 50!
It would be soo epic if frieburger completed drag week in this WHILE still broadcasting it the entire week.
Glad to watch RKG again, had to drop the motor trend app because the format is no worthless
Oddly very educational, and David Freiburger is naturally and inherently very funny.

We didn't have no stinkin rev limiter and we liked it!
Use brass petcocks in anti freeze holes to control flow .😊
The DANG wires......who woulda thunk????? The mystery of the ignition boxes solved!!!!!!
Unreal!!!!!
4 of the cylinders have 60 PSI compression, but only one leaking valve?
MT is entertainment only, not real life.
SO much wrong with this video - for entertainment purposed only.
I love this series
My kind of deal

Use petcocks in the sides of the blocks. Love ya Road Kill.
Only Dulcich is allowed to be on camera immediately after getting out of the shower
🤣
Send this video to Finagan. So maybe he will learn how to shift a stick drag car. Way to crank it Freiberger
Use wix 51051 oil filters, and put allen plug in by pass hole on filter adaptor, use 27 by 18 NPT tap . Hope this helps .
I like the 4 hinge pins so you can take the hood off quickly.
If you didn't know. Your right Foot is the rev limiter

I love how you made a small block out of spare parts in your garage.
Wouldn't the thrust "flange" be suspect for making the crank 'walk' with a clutch assembly?
Rust free? There hasn't been a rust free 56 Chevy since 1969! LOL! Sifting the old "H" pattern. Cool episode.
PUSH CLUTCH IN at the finish line. Never let a motor decelerate the car - that's how you stretch rod bolts.
Yeah best day at work ever
I love all of this 😯👊👊👍.
Hard to tell for sure, but looked like the ARP flywheel bolts were going into holes in the flywheel that had not been properly chamfered for that bolt?
Youtell'em homie😊
I killed an engine with too much silicone in the back valley. Dizzy caught some silicone in install and plugged off oil passage
Ouch.
One reason I went back to using cork gaskets with brown permatex.
Nice job!
Yes that was awesome 😎 guys Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽😎🌴

These fellers are the last great thing left in California. Let's hope the good folks of the state come together and save it.
Amazing show..
This little 350 I whipped up from spare parts that makes 500 horses. Nice.
Any idea why there is no new content on motortrend
On any show
Friedburger u need a caulk gun for the china walls brotha 😎

Could have run 10's easily with more launch rpm. Car was bogging at the clutch drop because not enough flywheel weight.
Car has a ten in it without changing parts
@@CarsandCats Exactly! Not a fan of light flywheels. Weight has more stored energy

I have to ask. What you say the compression was in all cylinders
where can we find their best 406 build specs?
Love it
Everyone always baggin on the ol 400. Then they always make more power when given the good parts.
these guys are Krass and Bernie in real life
Changing the final gear will get you there, right?
Why is a light weight fly wheel hard to launch and drive?
Has no intertia, or stored energy .Heavy FW will launch the car without bogging, good shift recovery too
what is a billet steel flywheel?
Somebody makes shims for wide clearance china rails. They work
Rightstuff.
Could add a little strength, and sandwich a china wall gasket in between the rtv double decker.

Red Loctite on flywheel bolts.
You should call that 56 "SACRILEGE" or "PROFANITY" to go with Finn's Blasphemi. Or you could go opposites and call or "REVerence"

So whatever happened too that “white” motor he was talking about better known as Mighty Mouse or white trash from the c4 vette cart
what happened ? I thought they wanted 10's
He can't even admit when he over revs the engine or money shifts
He did in this vid
