Also she received a very good comments from Helloween for this cover...and also she was with them in the backstage in the last concert of Helloween in Japan
She is one insanely talented lady. Pianist, guitarist, composer singer. Who knows what else she can play and is a master at them all. And stunningly beautiful.
Miyako and Haruna from LOVEBITES and Helloween members have met a couple of weeks ago. Helloween played two concerts in Japan this September. They know each other since Wacken 2018 where both bands played. Miyako posted a photo from her with the bassist having a drink together …
Haven't seen the picture of Miyako and Markus, but both Miyako and Haruna posted pics showing them together with each of the currently 7 members of Helloween on their instagram-page.
@@MissLoonasSpeech The picture was in Miyako’s Instagram Reels for only 24 hours. It was posted on September 14, i saved it on my phone. So I believe it must’ve been from the evening before Helloween’s Osaka show.
@@MissLoonasSpeech It was taken at a place called Fu-Ki Midian. They call themselves: „The world’s heaviest heavy metal bar in Osaka“. And they also have a picture with Markus still available on their instagram page posted the same day …
I've been in the Midian-it's a place many musicians hang out before/after gigs in Osaka. Miyako used to go there regularly in the days she was with A Drop of Joker. Helloween played Osaka on Sept. 14, and Miyako and Haruna went to see them and posed for photos with them backstage. Earlier Miyako was drinking at Midian and Markus along with Yoriyuki Sugiyama of Victor, who works with Lovebites, walked in. The next day Sept. 15 Lovebites played Osaka.
Thanks Harry/Sharlene. Miyako took this song and 5 others and 're-imagined' them as classical piano pieces (she has a degree in music composition). They are on her New (first) EP - *Etude Op 23* . She is also performing 2 piano recitals in Tokyo this November. The other 5 songs are *Battery* (Metallica), *Far Beyond the Sun* (Yngwie), *Burn* (Deep Purple), *The Loner* (Gary Moore), and *Addicted* (Lovebites - Miyako composed). Harry, you might want to check out Miyako's TH-cam Channel. In one video she shows how she modified her Dean Icon by changing to active Fluence pickups, and she also put capacitors across each pickup to adjust the Tone to her liking. She is a bona fide GearHead. There is also a cute video of her fretting over getting approved for a loan to purchase a re-issued Gibson Korina V ("I WANT it") - and then unboxing it in her Studio. VERY expensive! I love her channel, because it shows she in fact has a wonderful personality and sense on humor (of course, when she is performing, well - she is the Lovebites Miyako we all know and Love 😃
Maestro Miyako has released a debut piano EP called "Étude Op.23" which contains her piano interpretations of 6 famous metal/rock songs ("Eagle Fly Free" is one of them). If you listen to the entire EP, you'll realize that "Eagle Fly Free" is not even her most complex and wonderful re-imagination of these iconic songs.
I know you don't want to play favorites, but I will. I'm a guitarist. I love M&M, probably Miyako more than Midori. I love melodies and composition more than killer chops. Having said that, not to mention how much I love, love , love Fami, Haruna is the single most talented person on an individual instrument, in the band. I will simply say, she has everyone else's notes and accents, in her mind. She plays the solos with the guitarist. She sings the phrases with Asami, all while keeping a strong foundation for the bassist. It's those freakin accents! Out of every musician in Lovebites, I think Haruna has the most beautiful mind of all. I'm not talking about being a composer and songwriter, I'm strictly talking about talent on their individual instruments. If you listen, really listen to Lovebite's music, after you get over the glamour of the general up front, the dueling guitarist, and the infectious bassist, your left with one of the most awesome metal drummers to ever grace the face of this earth. Really, as great as M&M are, it's not their individual talents on a guitar that impresses me the most, it's the way they play together, and compliment each other. We all know killer metal guitarist are a dime a dozen, but a drummer with that kind of stamina, is next level, even for a professional! Let's be real, if JPU placed cameras on each person, for the entire concert, who would you choose to look at? I'd pick the Haruna cam every single time.
I totally agree with you 👍🏻 I wrote this about Haruna in another comment section yesterday: „Haruna‘s drumming is so precise, dynamic and somehow melodic at the same time. It is this that makes listening to LOVEBITES so much more exciting compared to most other bands.“
Great reaction video! I was 14 years old when Helloween became my first favorite Metal/Rock band! It was more than a pleasure for me to see a piano version of one of Helloween's most famous songs after 27 years! Miyako is my favorite woman from the band Lovebites for her contribution to Lovebites and to the Metal/Rock genre! She composed many masterpieces! I'm sure Helloween is proud of Miyako! Have a nice day!
Yes, just jaw dropping feel. Miyako the super talented musicians. Lovebites did cover this song and performed and recorded it in live studio. Thanks guys😍🤘👍
Miyako's whole piano EP is definitely worth a listen. I was kinda surprised by how much I enjoyed it, really. There are some really great arrangements of classic songs on this record.
Miyako is a genius she plays guitar, piano electric piano, bass she writes and composer of many of Lovebites songs, Lovebites do a cover of Eagle fly free as well, just as good as Helloween Miyako has a all piano album
Generations of humanity, we grow up, look over the shoulders of giants for a while, even though very few of this previous generation would have seen themselves that way. Miyako, in her previous work, is influenced by the generations of talented songwriters and musicians who came before her. Halloween, one of the most successful power metal bands, founded in West Germany (the old Federal Republic of Germany that has passed into history) in the mid-1980s. At a time in history in which there was apparently a permanent threat of nuclear death, the blocs East and West were irreconcilably opposed - especially in divided Germany, with separated families, some in the East, others in the West, with brutal walls and barbed wire, death strips in between and minefields in the no-man's land of the border areas - something I never want to see in Europe again, even if a lot of people seem to want to rebuild these walls - because they were able to feel great in the past - sad, very sad! Back to positive things: Miyako is such a creative spirit, a talented and technically skilled musician, she has the ability to transform old ideas into her own creations in a new interpretation and to make them shine again in a different current time. The Lovebites band members are such incredibly great musicians, I don't want to leave any of them behind, everyone rocks the stages of the world - even though I've always had a preference for extraordinary drummers - and Haruna from Lovebites is such an outstanding drummer in my eyes! But Lovebites only plays exceptionally good musicians, the M-Pack, Midori and Miyako, 95% of all bands worldwide want a guitarist with these outstanding skills - unfair world - Lovebites calls two such guitarists band members! Fami, the youthful whirlwind on bass, hopefully your talents on bass will shine more often in Lovebites arrangements in the future. Asami, a voice in metal that you would have to look for if it didn't already exist, with a stage presence that sets its own exclamation mark and is the physically smallest of the Lovebites members, the little biggest engine on the drums, the one already mentioned above, with a sure rhythm , fantastically talented and hard-working, incredibly good Haruna - okay, I'm being a bit biased... but Lovebites, the band, is also just incredibly good as a group!
imagine this Helloween song in '88 while most other bands did 3 chord heavy metal or 2 chord thrash.. this is the beginning of dual lead fast bpm powermetal (Dragonforce, Lovebites aso)
15:48 *It is sooo difficult to play silently and sensitive on the piano! Everyone can play loud! But to play silently and sensitive on the piano is art itself! Myiako is a mistress on the piano!* 👏 🥲 🐺
I already loved Markus Großkopf's bass-lines on the first two Helloween releases (especially "Walls of Jericho", which was my favourite album released in 1985), because I generally enjoy audible bass-lines, especially if they go along with the guitar-lines or have a melody of their own. For some even wilder/more prominent bass-playing, I'd recommend the albums "Life Cycle" (1988) by Sieges Even and "Control and Resistance" (1989) by Watchtower, the most technical Thrash Metal albums way back then. As regards Miyako, she has done an excellent job with her piano arrangement of this song (as well as the other five on her EP) and I'm happy for her that she recently also got to meet the guys of Helloween after a concert of them she attended in Japan.
As I always say, Lovebites consist of 5 unique world class musicians, of whom at least *3* are music prodigies. One is Myiako. I cannot even imagine how many weeks she will have studied this song and rehearsed this cover, until it "fit" in her opinion. What an *outstanding* hommage to Helloween. 🐺
En las manos de Miyako hay toneladas de talento,es una entre un millón.Es alguien realmente especial, porque tiene la capacidad, de con su enorme talento, hacernos felices a millones de personas en todo el mundo.
Thank for putting both versions!! And dumb! I have put my comment on the original UTube of Miyoko’s piano several month ago that “this sounds like the national anthem of metal nation!” Glad you have the same impression. Will keep checking your channel. Thank you again
Miyako and Haruna the drummer are maybe both my favorite members of LOVEBITES. But also Asami is close to them for me. And of course I like them all 5 (or better 6) so much ❤️🐺🤘🏼
WELL OBVIOUSLY THIS IS HER ARRANGEMENT OF THE SONG WHICH PRETTY MUCH TAKES IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL ! AND OF COURSE SHE HAS PLAYED THIS SONG WITH LOVEBITES ! I THINK IT'S A STUDIO LIVE VERSION ! YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY CHECK IT OUT !
Oh hell yeah, how do I give this more than one like? As someone else commented (but I am happy to steal it!), we are fortunate to live in the time of Miyako. She is a true musical prodigy. If you think this is mind wrenching, have a listen to her piano arrangements of Battery by Metallica and Burn by Deep Purple (audio tracks only, but they are on Miyako's YT channel). She can take the most brutally discordant metal track (Battery!) and turn it into a classical concerto. I thought you had already reacted to Lovebites whole band cover of Eagle Fly Free, as Sharlene said it sounded familiar; it may have been on a livestream. Miho is a star on this version as well, while not quite as exuberant as the bassist from Helloween, but she gets to shine on that solo run. As does Haruna. Dare I say it, both covers are better than the original? Fabulous stuff, this reaction made my night, thanks team!
I'm going out on a limb to help Harry out a little here.. I think the vibe he was reaching for was a reflection upon where the bar was set for bands back in what I like to call the analogue realm (not strictly true either, but that's my vibe on it), where bands did what they did very live, in your face, with a brazen, raw edge and no real options for a production safety net. As for Miss Watanabe, she just knocks it out of the park again with interwoven notes, superb control of her dynamics and expression to fuse a cover of a song which ought to at least appear to be difficult to do justice.. (that key change... I love this woman so much!). I'm waiting for her to pull out a piano version of "Reign In Blood" and would love to see her collaborate with Dream Theater's Jordan Rudess.
Helloween: Timeless Metal Classics. Today, Helloween United (with this singer, again, as second additional front man) is unbeatable, as-to-say. Today the band has still the same vibe and energy as then. 🐺
Miyako version is Chopin Polonaise style. Everyone knows that the original composition sounds somehow like Yankee Doodle, doesn't it? You should've made this reaction as triple with the full band Lovebites cover version. Yes, just you think of it, they totally nailed it. My favorite in Miyako Etude Opus 23 is Yngwie Malmsteen's Far Beyond The Sun cover though it is an audio track. You can make a triple reaction here. Yngwie Malmsteen with Japan Philharmonic Orchestra th-cam.com/video/Yni9Qu76UyA/w-d-xo.html Miyako Etude Op 23 th-cam.com/video/3RzRNijnaKA/w-d-xo.html Unlucky Morpheus (incredible violin heavy metal cover) th-cam.com/video/E2hZDzJp9Pc/w-d-xo.html Enjoy!!!
Miyako became my all time favorite musician very quickly after I first found Lovebites. And by the way, my introduction to Lovebites was me stumbling on your reaction to "Holy War" a couple of years ago. 👍 I grew up playing keyboards, mostly piano. I was really good, but Berklee College of Music destroyed me as a player. Keith Emerson was my favorite musician for over 50 years, easily my favorite keyboardist ever. I can't really call Miyako my favorite keyboardist yet simply because I haven't heard nearly enough of her compared to Keith. But as a musician/composer/arranger, there is no one better to my ears (and eyes too 😁). She's virtuoso level at piano, and at guitar, and as a composer. A pure musician with incredible talent. I love everything about her. Her stage presence is just a perfect compliment/contrast to Midori. Together, the beat dual leads in a band ever, in my opinion. I enjoyed this reaction.
Miyako seems to be on a crusade to prove that classical and metal music are very, very closely related. And personally I think she's doing a banging job. Also through inserting classical elements into Lovebites songs, like Swan Song. The two genres really are close...
Lovebites also does a cover of Eagles Fly Free. She also does five other songs on piano, and they have four new songs off their latest concert please react to those or is it just paterons?
I saw helloween in show a lot of times and I can say "Grosskopf the bassist is almost so 'crazy' like Jukka from nightwish or Simon from elvenking"😌. This song was an almost hymn for all we metallers on 90's about the lyrics, the speed beat... And everytime I listening Lovebites I 😍😮 because they're so telented power metal goddesses in Norns clothes. And in this cover "eagle fly free" becomes a mix of Chopin's tragedy, Bach's beauty, Beethoven's quality simphonies and Mozart's fest operas by the hands of Miyako. Woooooow. I repeat: "so talented goddesses playing music in Norns clothes". For us all our ancient influencers are there in all art styles and... Miyako is so so incredible, fuck!! I cannot explain this on another way, sorry🤘🤘💪💪
I believe Miyako left classical music because she knew she wouldn't be given the opportunity to freely compose. Metal which has many elements of classical music was her opportunity freely compose her music. The gods must have agreed because there is Asmi for lyrics.
Eagle Fly Free is one of my favorite metal songs (I love the early Helloween stuff) and I've heard covers before - but never a piano cover and I have to say it sounds fantastic!
Helloween are the fathers and creaters of the power metal.... Today ins genre off havy metal most played whith more bands in tn the world.... Like lovebites 80% of their musics is power metal.... Please see the cover off this by lovebites in studio streaming....
Metal (hair or otherwise) may not be everyone's thing, but NEVER let it be said they can't play. I've always maintained that metal artists can play with the best of them. And Miyako...? Jeez. (She's my favorite, too) Rock on, you two! 🤘😎👍
If you haven't heard these already check out Miyako's piano covers of Burn by Deep Purple and her cover of Gary Moore's "The Loner". BTW Gary Moore is her favorite guitarist 🎸 💜
Sharlene I myself love the piano and if you want to see a great pianist who plays with passion, power and flair take a look at the incredible Yuja Wang. One of the best pianists out there. I'll also drop the name Khatia Buniatishvili who is another incredible pianist.
Amy Lee of Evanescence is also an Incredibly talented Pianist and Composer !! Miyako's compositions are So Beautiful.. She is an Elite Musician for Sure !
I love when the young generation (I must be a couple years older than you to have lived the heyday of HELLOWEEN ;)) discovers classic bands and modern world-level talents... more proof that Rock/Heavy Metal/Human spirit will never die! HELLOWEEN is a page in music history by themselves, the Godfathers of Speed Power Metal, European style. They ruled the end of 80s with their glorious, Classically inspired music and equally glorious hair, went through trials and tribulations during the Dark 90s and emerged not only seasoned but more hungry than ever with the new millennium. Still going strong, reuniting all 3 of their historical vocalists for the latest s/t album... You could check out the epic song "Skyfall" from their latest album (Live version always better!), or the even more epic "King for a 1000 Years" that drops all kinds of Easter eggs to old-time fans, while continuing with the legendary story line begun with the seminal track "Keeper of the Seven Keys". Michael Kiske (the helium-pipes vocalist) has lost some hair, but none of his vocal power! His counterpart and heir Andi Deris sports a superb "evil-tinged" vibe to his delivery, while the original singer and prolific composer Kai Hansen adds his inimitable timbre. All that said, "Eagle Fly Free" is arguably HELLOWEEN's most famous song, and a great place to start, not least because of the mercurial presence of the ever-affable "basser" Markus Grosskopf! No surprise, then, that the latter song influenced so many, Miyako among the devotees. All this glorious intro just to state the inevitable: piano is the only instrument capable of equally transcribing the thunder and a sigh... whole symphonies for full orchestra can be paraphrased for piano... and "Eagle Fly Free" is just its latest victim! Still priceless to see your faces and live this with you! :))) And now for the really essential: I am on the floor before Miyako. The lady is a wonder, and she truly makes the old Metal anthem discover its "Ode to Joy" vibes! (To say nothing that it just dawned on me - the fast verses on "Eagle Fly Free" are actually based on a fugue. Who'd bet HELLOWEEN, the original composers thought that?!). Miyako, the sky is yours, keep soaring! \m/
HAVE YOU REACTED TO JILL FROM UNLUCKY MORPHEOUS COVERING YNGVIE'S "FAR BEYOND THE SUN" ON VIOLIN? 2 MVs, ONE IS HER ALONE AND THE OTHER IS WITH HER BANDMATE MUSICIANS CALLED "QUADRATUM". BOTH ARE EXCELLENT AND YNGVIE APPROVED.
@philiphalpin1997 I'm a huge Helloween fan and I admit that Lovebites version is better. It might have been better playing the studio version from Helloween because the guitar work in this video was sloppy Af.
@@guitarzen5999 ??? What's this video got to do with it. The whole track is far better played by Helloween, especially the vocals, let's be fair, lovebites are not what they are because of the vocals, in fact they are the bands weakest point by a long shot.
6:02 you are not wrong sir...listen to more Helloween guys, check out their pumpkins unite live tour, its more recent and the sound quality is 1000x better
This track is good. The guys are okay. BUT. Hear the same performed by Lovebites... I may be biased but... Wow, those girls blow everyone away. I'm not kidding. Just watch their studio video. Okay, Miako is a genius, but that piano transcription... well... Whose priest, whose priestess... :D
should have made it a triple reaction.... including lovebites cover of this song before going to miyako's version...lovebites made it look so basic....that's just me 🙂.... nothing againts helloween
Also she received a very good comments from Helloween for this cover...and also she was with them in the backstage in the last concert of Helloween in Japan

Thank you for this double feature reaction. Love Helloween 🤘Love Lovebites 🤘 🫶 Love Miyako more 🤘❤
I am with Harry, love all the members but I hink Miyako is my favourite
Miyako is so friggin good its unreal.
Helloween: Timeless Metal Classics. Today, Helloween United (with this singer, again, as second additional front man) is unbeatable, as-to-say. Today the band has still the same vibe and energy as then. 🐺
It is better than the original...Miyako never fails to amaze me!

The Mozart of Our Time
Miyako became my all time favorite musician very quickly after I first found Lovebites. And by the way, my introduction to Lovebites was me stumbling on your reaction to "Holy War" a couple of years ago. 👍
I grew up playing keyboards, mostly piano.
Lovebites covered this song, the entire band that is
Absolute genius !
The whole band does a cover to this also and it is awesome I suggest a reaction to it I think you will be impressed
My favorite band, Helloween and Lovebites ❤👍
Virtuoso...Miyako of course. 🤘🎸🎹
Lovebites also does a cover of Eagles Fly Free. She also does five other songs on piano, and they have four new songs off their latest concert please react to those or is it just paterons?
HELLOWEEN - Eagle Fly Free [Live At Budokan] (Official Music Video) 1.11.2024
Hell yes I second that!
Hello, I am literally shocked that HALLOWEEN is a new acquaintance for you. One of the best bands ever.😀👍❤ Hatten av för Miyako!🙏🐺💪🙏
I would love Miyako to bring out an album of piano covers of some of the greatest heavy metal tracks.
She already did this June. Or are you talking about a second one with more songs?
I believe Miyako left classical music because she knew she wouldn't be given the opportunity to freely compose. Metal which has many elements of classical music was her opportunity freely compose her music. The gods must have agreed because there is Asmi for lyrics.
ahhh Helloween...one of my fav Heavy Metal band back then, long live long hair Metal!!! and Miyako...no word...they both had classical background
Need to hear Lovebites cover of Eagle fly free, trust me does not dissapoint.
Lovebites also did a full-band cover of this, long before Miyako did the piano cover. Lovebites' version is better than the original, just sayin'.
Eagle Fly Free is one of my favorite metal songs (I love the early Helloween stuff) and I've heard covers before - but never a piano cover and I have to say it sounds fantastic!
Lovebites also does a great cover of this song
Helloween are the fathers and creaters of the power metal....
Today ins genre off havy metal most played whith more bands in tn the world....
Like lovebites 80% of their musics is power metal....
Please see the cover off this by lovebites in studio streaming....
Metal (hair or otherwise) may not be everyone's thing, but NEVER let it be said they can't play. I've always maintained that metal artists can play with the best of them. And Miyako...? Jeez. (She's my favorite, too) Rock on, you two! 🤘😎👍
One word : CLASS
Epico. One word, beautiful
there is not a better musician in any band anywhere!!!!!!
If you haven't heard these already check out Miyako's piano covers of Burn by Deep Purple and her cover of Gary Moore's "The Loner". BTW Gary Moore is her favorite guitarist 🎸 💜
Wolfpack here visiting your channel.
Sharlene I myself love the piano and if you want to see a great pianist who plays with passion, power and flair take a look at the incredible
Yuja Wang.
WDR is a German Public Broadcaster. That was a concert 1992, the song is from 1987
Slight correction: "Eagle Fly Free" is from "Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II", which was released in 1988.
Epic power metal classic from 1988, the video is from 1992. Studio version is the best!
I love the original , the piano version and tommy johansson version . Love them all , but tommy johansson's version is my favourite
Should have added Tommy Johanson version. He plays all instruments and I believe he does it better ( as usual ). 😉 🤘🤘🤘
You should also watch the LOVEBITES cover of "Eagle Fly Free", better than the original!
It really isn't, it's not even close to being so.
I prefer Tommy's version
@philiphalpin1997 I'm a huge Helloween fan and I admit that Lovebites version is better. It might have been better playing the studio version from Helloween because the guitar work in this video was sloppy Af.
@@guitarzen5999 ??? What's this video got to do with it. The whole track is far better played by Helloween, especially the vocals, let's be fair, lovebites are not what they are because of the vocals, in fact they are the bands weakest point by a long shot.
obud3777: I highly doubt that , in no way they are better
Мияко..❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have you noticed that she plays without notes?
She also does a cover of Metallica's Battery on piano
Helloween :)
Incredibly, Kiske still sounds like that
*cough* the inventors of power metal btw ( atleast regarded as that by many ) ...
You should do this with the whole ep. Burn by deep purple is my favorite
🐺 *MYK* 🔵🎹🔆
6:02 you are not wrong sir...listen to more Helloween guys, check out their pumpkins unite live tour, its more recent and the sound quality is 1000x better
Miyako is a musician on par with Steve Winwood.
Hatalmas zenészek . A legjobb énekessel .
Kiske!!!!
🤘🎃🤘
Yea you know it... from Halloween 😅😉
please reaction another cover by lovebites eagle fly free in studio
😊❤
I think you're thinking of A7X.. unholy confessions
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
should have made it a triple reaction.... including lovebites cover of this song before going to miyako's version...lovebites made it look so basic....that's just me 🙂.... nothing againts helloween
