They are the best band recording and performing today. No contest. They are, as you say flawless. As for running around, not possible to a track in which you are harmonising at that speed, non stop. Lovebites performance matches whichever song they are playing. Check out either live version of “Don’t Bite the Dust” or “Raise Some Hell”, energetic songs matched by an equally energetic performance. They’re musicians, probably the best five musicians on one stage that I have ever seen in 62 years, they don’t need to distract the audience with unnecessary posing. That way, when they do let go every so often in the set, we the fans know it’s genuine. I love watching your faces when reacting to my favourite band ever… they’re always priceless.
Alek Hidell, Well said! About the running around on stage, I recall the band Death got some 'criticism' for just playing their music on stage while standing still and focusing on their playing. Their reaction was "We are musicians who want to play our instruments, not 4 moving wigs". That being said, if you want Lovebites having fun check We the United from the same show or MDO from their last live. And to the S&T team: Love the reaction as always!
Some metal fans may disagree but no metal band *currently* from America, Europe, Australia or any other place, whether the old time greats (Metallica, Slayer), Stratovarius, Nightwish, Rammstein, the latest trendy Metalcore bands, Black or Death metal bands that comes close to live performance, consistency, quality, band-wide talents & power of Lovebites. Maybe Dragonforce. Personally, my personal favorite Galneryus was the Top 2 or Top 5 in the world for the last 5-10 years. But now both Lovebites and Galneryus are at the top in my book. Maybe there would be just 2-3 metal bands that arguably can challenge that. And Japan really is the new Mecca of Metal for the last decade or so!
In their prime, Iron Maiden was the absolute best live. I think Rush was also top 3. Lovebites and Band Maid are now among my top 3. @@iqbalmuhammad2920
The song Miyako played on the piano is "Chopin's Etude OP10, No12". In 1831, the anti-government movement "October Revolution" initiated by officers and civilians against the Polish government under the control of imperial Russia ended in failure with the direct intervention of the Russian army. Chopin learned of this news on his journey. He has lost his country of return. Around the time of the Russian invasion of Warsaw, "Etude OP10, No12" was announced in Paris by his agent. His agent exaggerated and promoted it, so it became known as the "revolutionary etude." Miyako composed "Swan Song" with reference to this etude and Dvorak's "New World". Based on Chopin's episode, Asami wrote the lyrics by superimposing Norse mythology and "Swan Lake". "Swan Song" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to regain their homeland, and is a masterpiece that only they can produce.
question... Wasn't that piano player that same girl that sings lead vocals? I thought so at least and was thrown back when Harry said that why don't they show the pianist... Would love the answer to that. And is Miyako the singer or was that the pianist. And if those were different people,e what is singer's na,e, what's the pianinsts na,e? Thank you, and love from Finland.
@@janihaavisto79 The pianist's name is Miyako also one of the guitarists. The singers name is Asami. The keyboards heard in the song that Harry refers to are on a backing track.
Been wondering when you guys would get to this. Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now one of the best metal guitarists in the world. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent, a true savant.
Ok, I'm a 60 year old metal head from way back, Lovebites, Babymetal, Band Maid are all so Awesome! I love it!!! So Much Talent! The Japanese women are taking the metal world by storm! All I can say is Go For It!
I think none of you could realize who plays the piano is Miyako, the guitarist (yes, that same, that uses Dean guitar 😂😂), and she plays the piano since she was 3 years (Asami and Midori learned piano as well) and also bass and drums and composes most of lovebites music while Asami makes up the majority of the lyrics. What can I say, Miyako is a genius, greetings from Portugal 🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺
@@lard1892 Mao Yamamoto, never played with lovebites, his collaboration with Lovebites is limited to helping with the compositions and arrangements, and Mao has no role in the composition of swan song, it was Asami and Miyako"For "Swan Song", Miyako combined elements of her favorite classics; Frédéric Chopin's "Revolutionary Étude" and Antonín Dvořák's "New World Symphony".[2] Asami writes lyrics after the music is composed, and writes them to match the mood of the song. Having performed classical ballet,[2] the piano and classical motif on the track made her think of Swan Lake. Yeah absolutely. Raise some hell is easier song to play in general, which allows them to relax more and do more stuff. That is for sure why they coordinated so much more interaction and movement for that one.
As you watch more and more of their videos, you'll begin to notice that their onstage personalities, including the way they sometimes just remain still, with somber expressions, is part of their theatrics. Their stage presence is usually thematically tied to the mood of the songs. This is a song that, despite being upbeat, is lyrically melancholic, themed about death and the dignity of death (and honoring soldiers who fought and died for their countries), so their stoic stage presence is sort of a respectful nod to that. There are other songs where they move around a lot, especially in songs where the overall theme is one of fun or joy (like We the United, or Raise Some Hell). In this one, visually Asami takes the spotlight, with her dance moves inspired by the Swan Lake ballet, which is also part of what inspired the song. At the end, you'll see that as the rest of the band cuts out and gives it back to Miyako on the piano, Asami portrays the swan falling slowly to the ground, as the piano outro represents the graceful dying of the swan. Although Swan Lake partly inspires the song, so does the Buddhist tale, the "Legend of Siddhartha and the Swan" (commonly just called "Legend of the Swan"), which tells the tale of a swan being shot out of the sky, and the debate over whether it belongs to the person who shot it, or whether it is its own master while it is dying, and is an allegory for people being allowed to die with honor and dignity and self-determination.
LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics: If this was the last day you could live on this earth Would you still go on, accusing someone for today It’s better to fail than not do anything at all It is not the length, but depth of life that counts Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life Sometimes the life of one can save so many more Oh brave soldier Oh gallant warrior Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla Believe what’s in your soul For death will come to all You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan Floating lotus You are so graceful Saintly and glorious Till the end of time Floating lotus You are so beautiful Sing me your sweet song The legend of the swan ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
I love Haruna she's so beautiful she doesn't get enough attention she is something else back there just whipping the hell out of all the drums and got a big smile on her face, she's fantastic
Nothing to say. Haruna is the best female drummer ever (for me). What a drumfield and speed of this one, unbelievable, and Asami, Midori, Miyako and Miho are master musician too. They are all Amazing.
That call & answer guitar duet is always goosebumps for me, even having listened to this song probably no less than 70, 80 times, so far. As for lack of interactions on stage, this was one song of an entire concert. There were songs where they were a lot more animated, but just not for this song. If you were there for the whole concert, a lack of interactions would not be how you would describe it.
Great reaction video from you. Lots of emotions and lots of fun from you! I love your "petrified faces" while watching this fantastic show! That's what I looked like when I first heard this amazing band. It will be a year. I've been a metalhead for over 30 years. And I'm a proud member of Wolfpack. I love writing stories about this band. This live performance song speaks for itself! It's a music championship "par excellance"! Not only this masterpiece is the fact that this band is one of the best metal bands today! Miyako (dark haired guitarist and pianist) created this masterpiece in honor of the famous ballet Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky! It's a metal song with a taste of classical music! My wolf heartfelt greetings :-).
Miyako is a concert pianist, as well as a guitar virtuoso. She does piano, keyboard parts in backing tracks for songs, as well. Like organ part in Break the wall, nod to John Lord in Deep Purple. Yes Miyako plays all those piano backing tracks. Hard to be on piano, and guitar on stage at same time, though Miyako does it on Burden of Time.
I would hate to play in stilettos, and run around. Good reactions as you do. Lovebites the best metal band I have heard in 42 years. Up the irons. The best regards from the Kingdom of Denmark
DAMMMMM. Like you guys. I was speechless after this number. I don't think some people realize how complex this piece is. Miyako did prerecord some of that piano work. So she could play guitar when she needed to.
I definitively Love how they act on stage. Especially Miyako is such a cool customer, as relaxed as she's playing the toughest stuff. The whole band spreads an atmosphere of competence and confidence, telling the audience: "hey guys, watch, listen, relax and have 2 hours of pure joy - we will!" And, to be honest, aren't they enough eye-candy, even without jumping around?
Great reaction !! LOVEBITES slays everything, simply they are the #1 metal band IMO. 5:52 there are more than a few of us that feel exactly the same 🤘🐺🤘
Miyako (black haired guitarist) received a classical piano education. She has been playing the piano since the age of three and wanted to make a career in classical music, but at the age of 18, Miyako picked up the guitar for the first time and.......😀
Great Review again, had me saying to the screen " Just watch the video!" I think this is the one song they stood about with, They do get quite animated when they have and take stuff serious when they have to. I would say take a look at the "We the United" song from this concert, you won't regret it.. Liked 😀
Music composed by Miyako, lyrics written by Asami. Also Miyako does her own arrangements. The piano in the song is a backing track recorded by Miyako. Kinda takes your breath away, Huh!! The "Golden Child" Miyako took up the guitar at 17/18 because she decided to pursue Metal/Rock music rather than Classical. She got a guitar and a "How To" book! Ta-Da. She has her own home studio and Midori comes over so they can work on their guitar sync!! She does not like the rented Roland because it is electric and it has plastic keys. She has had her baby and is married along with Asami also who got married. They are conducting a Worldwide audition for a new bassist, now taking audition tapes. You will also be required to live in Japan most of the time and be reasonably fluent in Japanese.
If you want to see LoveBites running around, have a react to We the United. They're all over the place, and more than that: the Ice Princess (Miyako) drops that smile, whose smile is only eclipsed by the one Haruna gives on the drums. When everyone runs up to be next to her while playing? that's so cool to see.
Lovebites tend to reserve the running about and interaction for songs in which it is appropriate. Swan Song, for all its glorious grandeur, is actually a sombre song about death and mortality; the swan song being the song of the dying swan, the last thing you do before you die. Being very conscious of the mood and meaning behind the song, the ladies keep everything more still and reserved apart from Asami who elegantly dances the swan throughout. I've heard one reactor criticise them for not dashing around and smiling during a performance of "Under the Red Sky". It's a song about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima for heaven's sake. Apart from anything else it would be downright disrespectful to the memory of Hiroshima's victims to be jumping up and down and grinning. If you want to see more onstage antics then take a look at one of their more fun, party songs such as "Dancing with the Devil", "Raise some Hell", "We the United" or something.
Bravo Songs & Thongs , Great Reaction , Amazing Lovebites other level of musicians , for me the best ThrashPower metal of the World , please react to A frozen Serenade , When Destinies Align , Break the Wall , Shadow Maker .........greetings from Chile .
For Swan Song, Miyako combined elements of her favorites classics: Chopins Revolutionary Etude and Dvoraks New World Symphony. From the album Electric Pentagram Music: Miyako, Lyrics: Asami, Arrangement: Miyako/LoveBites
Talking about interaction and animated performance on stage, I'm glad they don't do that. That is the way they are standing out of the other metal performers just like their white costume. It's all about music, not a minstrel show nor musical. Do great jazz musicians running around or do great classic musicians jump off the stage into the crowd? Lovebites is serious music. Only serious music survives as you can see it in Japan now, and not in the States any more. Animated stage is fun to audience but it fades away the serious music.
Piano synth and choirs and other stuff on back track. But all done by the members. It would been a problem to play guitar and piano at the same time :) They are just amazing musicans everyone...
this one really shows their greatness, especially miyakos, who also composed and arranged this one. they do not run around, because the theme of the song is serious. if you want more "action", I´ll recommend "dancing with the devil" and/or "M.D.O.", both from the same show tokyo 2020. thank you for the great reaction.
Miyako, the pianist/guitarist on right, she composed and arranged the song and Asami (vocal) wrote the lyrics. The song is an ode (requiem) for the fallen soldiers bygone, it's serious in nature; thus why they are more subdued. Just check out the lyrics. Talks of "brave soldiers, gallant warriors, valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla, God's Heaven, etc." Chopin Etude ("Revolutionary Etude") intro is NOT on the album, but they incorporated it here to bookend with Miyako's outro. The Etude is famous because it was released at the time of the failed uprising in Warsaw Poland during the occupation by the Russian Empire in 1831. Chopin is Polish and he was devastated. He would never sat foot in his homeland after. It is a very fitting intro to this song as it fits perfectly in theme and meaning of the song.
Let me write that I have doubts about many reactors on TH-cam. What is the most important value for rock music (& metal music) in the first place? I think it's "free" music. "Why does rock (metal) have to run around on stage?" "Why do they have to wear black clothes?" "Why do they need a growl?" "Why do they have to tattoo?" : Why do bands out of these styles get mysterious attention (both good and bad)? For example, it seems that many reactors are astonished (and favorably) with the white clothes of LOVEBITES. However, it shows that there is a stereotype in the background of that, "white clothes = not common sense of metal bands". (Am I the only one who feels this stereotype is common in America and Europe?) I believe that the value of rock and metal is to enjoy music freely, without being bound by old customs, shackles, or stereotypes. I think The Beatles 50 years ago brought the style of rock music = free music to Japan. Even now, 50 years later, it has been handed down in Japan as "rock = a way to enjoy free music." Japanese bands such as LOVEBITES, BAND-MAID, WAGAKKI-BAND, and BABYMETAL can feel the free style born from such an environment. (Don't get me wrong. There are definitely a lot of respectable bands in America and Europe.) I wrote about what I felt on a daily basis in response to the statement that LOVEBITES didn't move much on stage. ----------------------------------------------- from Japan * Sentences using a translation app. I hope the intention is conveyed correctly.
I know, I'm late to THIS party, but I finally made it. And I am VERY happy that you have reacted to this Lovebites song! This is one of my all-time favorite performances by Miyako, in particular. Everyone kills it in their respective jobs, to be sure, but from my understanding of more recent reading, this may have been composed by Miyako, with the obvious exception of course. Miyako started learning piano at 3 years, again from recent reading, although at 65 I'm beginning to question my memory... (lol). Okay, since this is a long time coming there are a few items that I need to bring to your attention, not that you probably don't already know... Miho resigned as the Bassist. A worldwide audition call was extended, just in time for Covid... so, that caused an additional year of delays. But GREAT NEWS, the Ladies are BAAAACK! They now have a new Bassist, Fami (Fahmee) who has her own YT channel, and she is only 20 as of her start date. They just released a new Album, and they have two video singles available, the first video single to drop was the Title track: "Judgement Day" and the 2nd a bit more recently: "Stand and Deliver (Shoot'em Down)" Links below... Judgment Day: th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html Stand and Deliver (Shoot'em Down): th-cam.com/video/4ImGA7cPyrs/w-d-xo.html I will be watching you for the review/reactions because you two are my favorite reactors. Why else would I have offered to send you a video camera, sorry about that, Harry you were right shipping was prohibitively expensive, as you said it might be. Even so, you two are by far the most entertaining couple I have ever watched. I know you will enjoy Lovebites' new bassist. Judgment day is her debut with the band and she kicks ass! Stay cool and see you soon!
Yeah guys they are amazing. If you want to see movements by them, have to check the songs M.D.O ,Rise some hell,,Hammer of wrath ,Don't bite the dust, Spellbound. So choose and check it. Enjoy it.
The intro Chopin, "Swan Song" Dvorak main music line and Tchaykovski reffering to "Swan Lake" ballet in the move of Asami and theme of swan in lirycs, outro Rachmaninov. All mixed with power metal for example Iron Maiden etc. Stay safe. Stay Lovebites
Miyako is maestro level on every instrument she plays - she is the brains behind the band. Crying shame she never smiles during performances though - she has a beautiful smile and seems to be a lot of fun off-stage. Charlene's facial expression after the epic solo and twin guitars was priceless!! LOL
@@pattymeals2395 just saw an amazing live video of Dragonforce with various guests including Midori and Miyako!!! She is laughing throughout and having a great time!! I think it takes someone as good as Herman Lee to impress her and bring her out of her shell. m

if you enable cc/subtitles, you will read beautiful lyrics. Respect to Lovebites, even though they are Japanese.. they can write power metal songs as good as UK/Europe. great songwriters, instrumental & composers make their albums hits
They do have many songs where they interact a lot between themselves and the audience. But when you take into account what this song is all about you will realise that this is not the type of song for that. It's about the Russian army invading Poland to put down a revolution, in their usual brutal fashion. It seems they can't break that habit, even in these days.
I have seen Lovebites and Band Maidfor that matter many times live and both play their live performances with a guide track.I seen Haruna control it from her drumset area. Makes sense now adays, it fills the songs pretty well. As to Miyako, piano/guitar, I have seen her in Japan at a couple of small venues playing acoustic piano and she is astonishing , don't get me wrong she is amazing on guitar, but her piano chops are sick. Overall, I recommend you guys see Lovebites live, Harry, I know you will really appreciate their overall musicianship.
And guys, there are still so many great songs left for you to experience! I think Scream for me or Raise some Hell would fall into your liking, or Hammer of Wrath. Some pretty amazing guitarplaying in Signs of Deliverance and We the United, like a masterclass in synchronized guitar playing in those two... I'm jealous of you two, there are so many songs left for you guys.
The whole song including the intro is in minor key, but she rises the third in that last notes of the song so it becomes a major chord.. And as everybody else is saying, there is no better band of the face of the earth right now (and has not been in the last 30 years) With love from Sweden...
Miyako played on a white Roland's electronic piano for the first time in this live. So she said that she had a hard time because it was very hard to play. It was not a satisfactory performance for her. (It sounds great to me😅) In my most recent live performance, I switched to a real grand piano, and this performance is still much better. It expresses the ups and downs of emotions more and has a different dimension from an electronic piano. You can see a little bit of it in the official trailer video of the live dvd, so check it out.
its not harder to play thats not what she meant. problem with electronic pianos is are the key pressures. its very bouncy compare to an acoustic piano. thats why its more annoying to play.
Isn't that the primary thing about Metal though, especially power metal? It's classically based, vs Blues based, mostly. Thus it works well with Classical. See S&M. Apocalyptica, etc.
Thank you so much, you must see Epilogue from lovebites, the song is ballad power metal and you will see classic arrangement music like old song but new, yeah... they can do it
Ok, I admit it…….I’m in drum kit love with Haruna! There, I said it! In reference to the movement in stage I have a couple of thoughts. Firstly, in regards to this performance, I wonder if their thought process was to have the focus on Asami with her ballet movements and Miyako going from piano to guitar and back to piano. Also, they could break their ankles running around in high heels lol. I could be completely wrong about it. Secondly, they’ve never been a band who moves around a great deal and even when they do move and interact with each other it often looks choreographed. You mentioned Nightwish and I’ll add Band-Maid to that, where there’s quite a bit of movement but it looks much more spontaneous, which I prefer. I’ll agree with David Gaston that just moving on stage without some sort of purpose is, in his words, “visual spam!”
Miyako recorded the piano parts and then they play them as a backing track since she can't play both instruments at the same time. (Or can she? - see Burden of Time).
When you first reacted to LOVEBITES you said that they are there to entertain the crowd not each other this song is another example of that especially since the speed of this song is so fast jumping around on stage is pointless and may I suggest (again) Raise Some Hell live from Zepp Diver City) and Dancing With The Devil also from Zepp
Miyako combined 2 classical favorites in this nr 1"Chopin's Etude OP10, No12". And nr 2 "Dvorak´s New world sympony" That´s the one you hear on "Click" and finishing the song. Love from Sweden
They really are much more static on stage with this song.. well not Asami :) but surely they know what are they doing. Not moving around and interacting is something no doubt they do on purpose. They proved many times they have no problem to play hardest music and play with audience at the same time. BTW you ruined one of the best moments in the song 11:08 between end of the solo and Asami start singing chorus. They created such powerful, intensive PAUSE.. you stopped right there and never went back 5 sec so you hear it. Cheers! :)
Very true, with Lovebites you can say that "who blinks loses", and they blinked more than necessary on this occasion. A shame. It seems that even though it's not their first reaction to the band, they still don't know that it's all quite a choreographed staging, that everything has its reason for being, including Asami's pauses and movements.
Awesome reaction. Lovebites never disappoint. If you like the mix of piano with metal you should check out the masterpiece "Art of life" (live) by X-Japan. Yoshiki is absolutely insane at drums and piano.
Asami ballerina she took ballet in the United States would you believe she's only 5 ft tall but Miyako the tall one she's 5 ft 2 now the drummer Haruna is 4 ft 9 , Dynamite comes in small packages
Miyako records all the keyboard / piano backing tracks & controls them from her pedal board. You would think no human could play piano & guitar at the same time.......well she does that too, check out, " Burden of Time. " ❤🎙🎸🥁🎹😎👌
@@lard1892 Have you watched Burden of Time ? She has one hand on the keyboard ( righthand ) playing the melody, while her left hand is on the guitar neck like she's playing chords, she's obviously not picking or strumming but she is pressing on them making sound....you can call that feedback if you want.
Mao(maybe) is back stage playing keyboard for some of these songs. He helps compose some of these songs also. Think he has been since the inception. From what I remember Miyako doesn't like the Roland as much. I see a lot of people don't know about Mao
They interact a lot when the song allows the interaction 😉 In this kind of songs you have to stay laser focused on the playing (as you know better than me). I love Nightwish, but the Empu guitar parts are far less “demanding” and he doesn’t wear 👠😅 Try with “Raise some Hell” th-cam.com/video/zamSQD0JUFk/w-d-xo.html Thanks for reacting to Lovebites! 🐺🤘🏻
What's with this "Running Around" hang up so many reactors keep bringing up? You only need to understand what the song is about, to understand why they do what they do. Every movement or non moment has its purpose or it's just a waste of energy and visual spam. I know this because...I'm nobody important.😌
I was giving them a like but changed to a big dislike when I heard the comment about the lack of movement. Lovebites very often act according to what the song wants to say. And that's the right way to make live music. They can't be laughing and jumping around during a sad song. EDIT: More than 3 hours later, I'm still wondering how this channel has one of the best reactions to Lovebites on all of TH-cam (his first contact with the band with Holy War) and at the same time this one, which will undoubtedly soon be forgotten, mainly because of the lack of musical understanding when it comes to feeling a song and how musicians should behave when playing their role according to the feelings of that song.
These songs are so demanding and so proficiently performed I'm surprised that they can move as much as they do. This song requires a bit more concentration from the ladies I believe. Regardless LoveBites gives an Olympic Athlete Level of performance Every show.
I always get a very harsh sense of "DANCE MONKEY!" whenever reactors make this complaint. Like 4/5 Lovebites songs are either very technically taxing, so it makes sense they can't be doing cartwheels while playing them; or the tone of the song doesn't fit the playful nature you see in something like Raise Some Hell. But never mind that, how come the guitarists aren't walking around the stage?! Which would add to the quality of the song... somehow...
One more thing. The piano melody in the background of the whole song is played thanks to a great computer technology, which is next to drummer Haruna. These piano melodies is created by Miyako (dark hair guitarist and pianist)!
empu from nightwish isnt even in the same class as these 2 guitar players. everything he plays is so easy and im a huge nightwish fan. seen them a half dozen times.
Best Power Metal band: Lovebites
Best Hard Rock band: Band-Maid
Well said Alek well said 👏 👍
One word: GOOSEBUMPS. No one can do this, not even Nightwish. The talent is rediculous, out of this world!
@iqbalmuhammad2920 100% agreed! Lovebites is next level talent! Don't know enough about Gallery's so can't comment on them. 🤘
His agent exaggerated and promoted it, so it became known as the "revolutionary etude."
Miyako composed "Swan Song" with reference to this etude and Dvorak's "New World".
This is exactly how it is 👍
Ok, I'm a 60 year old metal head from way back, Lovebites, Babymetal, Band Maid are all so Awesome!

Having performed classical ballet,[2] the piano and classical motif on the track made her think of Swan Lake. @@lard1892 but if you have doubts who plays the piano in "swan song" you can always ask Midori Tatematsu how I did it, greetings from Portugal.
The best example of their interaction is "Raise Some hell". It's a lively song and deserves your reaction.
Yeah absolutely. Raise some hell is easier song to play in general, which allows them to relax more and do more stuff. That is for sure why they coordinated so much more interaction and movement for that one.
I was going to suggest the same
Also MDO from the same concert
Miyako is simply incredible 💕
Thanks so much for this beautiful explanation

LOVEBITES - Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been though despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to not care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan

I love Haruna she's so beautiful she doesn't get enough attention she is something else back there just whipping the hell out of all the drums and got a big smile on her face, she's fantastic
100% agree😊
Haaaaaarrrruuuunnnnaaaa
Glad you finally did this song. A great song
Nothing to say. Haruna is the best female drummer ever (for me). What a drumfield and speed of this one, unbelievable, and Asami, Midori, Miyako and Miho are master musician too. They are all Amazing.
I don't think you have to add "female" drummer ! 😄
Asami also plays piano, I don't know what her skill level is though.
Mao plays piano as well and helps in writing the music composition
Great reaction to a great epic song. One of Masterpiece of them. Thanks guys
The whole band spreads an atmosphere of competence and confidence, telling the audience: "hey guys, watch, listen, relax and have 2 hours of pure joy - we will!"
And, to be honest, aren't they enough eye-candy, even without jumping around?
Great reaction !! LOVEBITES slays everything, simply they are the #1 metal band IMO. 5:52 there are more than a few of us that feel exactly the same 🤘🐺🤘
That was one of the best live that I've ever seen 👏👏👏👏👏👏just beautiful 👍👍👍
The piano playing while they were all playing was a play back because the guitar player playing the dean is the piano player.
THAT YOUNG LADY ON BASS IS WORLD CLASS , HAVE PLAYED FOR OVER 50 YRS ,ICANT HOLD ACANDLE TO HER , JUST FANTASTIC, MYLORD!!

Mikado?? It's MIYAKO

Miyako is the pianist( classically trained) and guitarist. Haruna, the drummer, is a 4ft.9inch nuclear reactor.
like everybody said.they will be animated if suit the songs.see the whole show u will understand.
It would been a problem to play guitar and piano at the same time :)
They are just amazing musicans everyone...
this one really shows their greatness, especially miyakos, who also composed and arranged this one. they do not run around, because the theme of the song is serious. if you want more "action", I´ll recommend "dancing with the devil" and/or "M.D.O.", both from the same show tokyo 2020. thank you for the great reaction.
Miyako, the pianist/guitarist on right, she composed and arranged the song and Asami (vocal) wrote the lyrics. The song is an ode (requiem) for the fallen soldiers bygone, it's serious in nature; thus why they are more subdued. Just check out the lyrics. Talks of "brave soldiers, gallant warriors, valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla, God's Heaven, etc."
Chopin Etude ("Revolutionary Etude") intro is NOT on the album, but they incorporated it here to bookend with Miyako's outro.
"Why does rock (metal) have to run around on stage?"
"Why do they have to wear black clothes?"
"Why do they need a growl?"
"Why do they have to tattoo?"
:
Why do bands out of these styles get mysterious attention (both good and bad)? For example, it seems that many reactors are astonished (and favorably) with the white clothes of LOVEBITES. However, it shows that there is a stereotype in the background of that, "white clothes = not common sense of metal bands". (Am I the only one who feels this stereotype is common in America and Europe?)
I believe that the value of rock and metal is to enjoy music freely, without being bound by old customs, shackles, or stereotypes.
There are definitely a lot of respectable bands in America and Europe.)
I wrote about what I felt on a daily basis in response to the statement that LOVEBITES didn't move much on stage.

LOL

Never heard of back tracks or Mao??
thank you, my loves. best thing I have seen in a very long time! *hugs*
They do have many songs where they interact a lot between themselves and the audience. But when you take into account what this song is all about you will realise that this is not the type of song for that. It's about the Russian army invading Poland to put down a revolution, in their usual brutal fashion. It seems they can't break that habit, even in these days.
Frozen serenade needs to be your next lovebites reaction
Kind of hard doing a near 2 hour concert.. especially in high heels.
Not so much running.
If you want more of that "Raise some hell" must be next.
That's the way to open and close a classical metal masterpiece.
The whole song including the intro is in minor key, but she rises the third in that last notes of the song so it becomes a major chord..
And as everybody else is saying, there is no better band of the face of the earth right now (and has not been in the last 30 years)

Thanks for explaining this to everybody
its not harder to play thats not what she meant. problem with electronic pianos is are the key pressures. its very bouncy compare to an acoustic piano. thats why its more annoying to play.
"So, Miyako-san, which is your strongest instrument, the piano or the guitar?"
"Yes."

Please please please do when destinies align next!! I promise as a guitarist you absolutely love it!!

I guess you've figured out by now who was playing the piano and how she did it.😆😆

Miyako records all the keyboard / piano backing tracks & controls them from her pedal board. You would think no human could play piano & guitar at the same time.......well she does that too, check out, " Burden of Time. " ❤🎙🎸🥁🎹😎👌
Uhhhh..no! She relies on feedback...how do you play keyboards and a guitar with two hands????
@@lard1892 Have you watched Burden of Time ? She has one hand on the keyboard ( righthand ) playing the melody, while her left hand is on the guitar neck like she's playing chords, she's obviously not picking or strumming but she is pressing on them making sound....you can call that feedback if you want.
Tina S guitar player from France she does Jason Becker cover
Mao(maybe) is back stage playing keyboard for some of these songs. He helps compose some of these songs also. Think he has been since the inception.
From what I remember Miyako doesn't like the Roland as much. I see a lot of people don't know about Mao
They interact a lot when the song allows the interaction 😉 In this kind of songs you have to stay laser focused on the playing (as you know better than me). I love Nightwish, but the Empu guitar parts are far less “demanding” and he doesn’t wear 👠😅
Try with “Raise some Hell” th-cam.com/video/zamSQD0JUFk/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for reacting to Lovebites!
If they want Lovebites smiling all the song than they need to watch "Spellbound"!
@@exDemonius or raise some hell
Fake not geniune reactions...
Which would add to the quality of the song... somehow...
but she plays each one of them better than most people!!!!!!!
One more thing. The piano melody in the background of the whole song is played thanks to a great computer technology, which is next to drummer Haruna. These piano melodies is created by Miyako (dark hair guitarist and pianist)!
At least somebody knows about Mao.....
악기연주풍과 기타소리가 전형적인 J-ROCK 이라 X도생각나고 좋네요
She used to say "I Like Chopin"🎵
Magic magnifique grandiose exceptionnel METAL ANGELS
empu from nightwish isnt even in the same class as these 2 guitar players. everything he plays is so easy and im a huge nightwish fan. seen them a half dozen times.
Most people don't realize that....
