The improvements to ME1's gameplay were enough to sell me on this remaster. It feels so much better having headshot damage, an actual proper sprint that you don't need to be in combat for, and a loot cleaning system that the game SORELY needed.
I heard they had to make up the name Mass Effect because Battlestartrekwarsfireflyshiptroopers Expansalactica wouldn't fit on the box.

I played the trilogy on the Xbox 360, ps3, and PS5 and even though I basically made the same choices in every run it is worth the ride every time.

I've played through this series so much, maybe 2 full playthroughs and 6 each on 1 & 2. Honestly I'm in the minority ans much prefer the set-up and story of ME1. But the crew building on mass effect 2 is lit. Love these games
Why not play something else? I finish games only once because there are so many games to play
ME1 is my favorite of the series. Always has been. The story is best in 1. The story in 2 is pretty shit, besides the character interactions. And ME3 is all right. With an atrociously bad ending, even the "fixed" ending. It's like Game of Thrones Season 8 kind of ending. Just like, wtf? And they squandered the series true potential in game 2 with that weird ass "you died" plot with Cerberus and Collectors building a human Reaper. Just dumb.
I’ve always been a hardcore fps gamer, never delving into single player games. Recently saw this was 3 games in 1 and picked it up. I’ve only played ME1 so far but have 15+ hours completing all the side missions.
Grabbed this when it was given away from prime gaming. Will play it whenever I have time for it

Playing it on EA plus for Xbox One. Love it. Use to play these games on Xbox 360 as a kid and playing them again for nostalgia is incredible.

If you've never played the game, it's 100% worth it. One of best series ever. If you played games before, and/or already own them, it's a meh. Maybe, maybe not. I thought it was worth a new playthrough. If only for ME1 remaster, which is really good. But there's a lot of.... quality of life improvements and the "little" things you'd expect in a boxset remaster like this.
Do they let you skip the puzzles to unlock things? One of my favorite mods did that. I also had a mod that skips the elevator scenes.
But my favorite mod lets you mine an entire planet with a single probe.
@@majorgear1021 Kind of seems like you wanna skip parts of the game, eh? Haha ;) No, you can't skip the hacking/bypassing puzzles. I want to say they changed them though.... I may be wrong. Played it at release so not sure. It's good. You'd just expect at the end of every game or a button in main menu where you could review your "choices" made etc. And like, a developer commentary or extra deleted content added etc.. Like I was kind of hoping for.
I have never played Mass Effect and now The Legendary Edition will be one of the free PS Plus Games this December!

@@Nyxson Honestly though, its' not as bad as S8 of GoT = so bad that you want to forget the entire series. The ride is well worth it. I'm actually thinking of getting this as I probably missed maybe 1 or 2 minor DLCs.

Believe me I play mass effect every year it’s definitely one of the best games ever I love them all although my favorite is mass effect 2 it’s the longest one it’s got the biggest squad and it got the most dlcs

I just finished cyberpunk 2077 and needed a sci-fi fix. It runs beautifully on the deck. I had only previously played part 1 and I'm excited for this new adventure.
Today is my first day playing. And so far my only critique about this game (and I might be nitpicking here) is that I'm a f**king idiot for waiting this long.

I did not regret buying this. The only thing I regretted was the amount of space the trilogy took up.
if i already completed ME 2 and already half way in ME 3, is it still worth it to play the LE? I'm talking about time investment (because it is a very loong game) and whether there are any improvements other than graphic, because it's on the PC game pass.
To be 100% honest, I'm playing through the first one now and I'm actually disappointed. I love the update to the graphics but I've had several issues with sound and camera glitches. There's been a few times where I will actually get stuck in a menu while trying to equip my team and I have to reset the entire console. Pretty sure it's not a console issue either considering other games work perfectly. It's actually gotten quite frustrating to deal with and almost made me not even want to play it anymore, which is sad because this is one of my favorite gaming series.
Honestly, I was mad at the ME3 ending, even going in knowing it was a bad ending. But.... the sheer joy I get from being a die hard Red Ender and explaining why Blue is cliche and Green is horrific is almost worth the ending itself not being great. My boss played LE recently and when he got near the end I bought two treats. On the box of fuzzy peaches I put a post it that said "The Correct Ending", and on the chocolate bar I put a post it that said "The Ending that Phil Thinks is Right". Our morning meeting then derailed into him getting his chocolate bar and me outlining why he was wrong. Which he then put in the morning meeting minutes that went to a bunch of supervisors that were beyond clueless to our madness. So, even with a bad ending, it does keep on giving all these years later.
I haven't played this series ever, but saw it for like 7.99 a few months ago. About to dig in this wknd.

I heard it's no longer good to get it on Steam, so I know to get it on Origin. But my question is, are there issues with getting it on Origin as well. I've also read on some forums that people in general are having problems even running or even launching this game on Origin (PC). They needed to launch using something called Lutris? I looked that up and it is something for Linux? I use Windows 11, the newest Windows. Any tips then on getting this to run properly. Mind you, I do not own this just yet. I want to make sure there are issues before I invest money into it, then only later to discover issues with even getting it to launch. Thank you so much for your input.
The original ME games on PC don't work with a gamepad, but Legendary Edition does. So if you want to use a gamepad on PC this is the version to get.

Is ME1+DLC worth 10$? Is ME2+DLCs worth 20$? Is ME3+DLCs worth 30$?
I ask this because so many people think the 60$ price of the whole package is not worth, mainly because being a "single package" they judge it as a single game. This is not a single game. This is 3 games with all their DLCs included. And is not just some average trilogy, but one of the best ever. So YES, the full price is worth! Although you can still wait for a sale if you wish, but don't paint the whole thing as not being deserving of the full cost.
So what did they improve in each of the games? Just the graphics? Nothing else?
Are there any bugs in the game?
Is the PC version better than the Xbox Series X version?

If you're new to the universe of ME yes. If you played the original trilogy and paid for all DLC individually then hell no. LE is a HD reskin (and committed the capital crime of changing the lovely Kelly Chambers head). All the old bugs are there. I respect the artistic decision to bungle the ending in ME3 but I'm an indoctrination theory diehard. Only way to live after getting burned with literal hundreds of hours for ME1 and ME2 and 2 playthroughs of ME3 (original and LE edition). Ubisoft did us dirty and doesn't deserve our loyalty

Yes, but expect worse story but also better gameplay (at least combatwise)
It shares the same name but to me mass effect was a trilogy, andromeda is like a spin off more focused on combat it wasn’t what I was looking for
Yeah it's a good game
The minor improvements heavily outweighed by the stuff they fragged out, didn't fix, and just plain obfuscated. I mean, they didn't even fix the sound bug, which was the game's biggest issue with modern systems. They improved the stability of the game, but to think that they are so impotent with code they own... but then again, they did lose some parts of the game... so not unexpected.
I have all 3 games and all the dlc. Is it worth buying legendary?
If you have it on a PC, then no. If you have it on a console, maybe, if you want better performance, but that's all you will really get
Well i have game pass ultimate on pc... And there is no option to install separately (there is, but they are the og games.. not of the legendary edition). So I'm downloading 107gb now 😥.

No, it does not work that way. When you download legendary edition, you only download first game, rest is available as a downloadable option.
This kind of video will always say yes, so does the fans in the comment section, but the painful truth is the game is outdated in every way, whatever made the game great in its time is not something new anymore, you most likely have experienced it in recent games, so if you are a new player, just go for the newer titles, unless it is a remake, don’t bother with remasters…
Outdated in every way... at least give an example. Story? Highly doubt that. Graphics? There are modern games that look worse than this. Gameplay? Nope.

@@Nyxson No. I'm saying the Legendary version of ME2 is not as good as the original ME2 from a gameplay perspective. It is not worth getting the Legendary Edition unless you are a big fan of ME1.
This game is incomplete, its missing a dlc, the reason I got it cause it was meant to have all the dlc, the card lied to me.

True, it was not included due to an issues with the source code. Not that it was a vital DLC, but for some (very few) it was.

Im at the very beginning of the first one, and still fighting the geth. Thanks to you i now know that they arent even the real problem, but some faction called the reaper is.
And i also already know that the reapers wont be the problem in the second part.

For twice the price $120, I found the trilogy and a PS3 console. Literally playing it on original hardware for only double the price and now I can play any other PS3 games
