  • If you're looking to make a mocha at home, then check out this video featuring Austin Childress of Carabello Coffee.
Simply start with your favorite chocolate syrup, then mix together your espresso and steamed milk in a similar ratio to a traditional latte.
In this case, we're making about a 12 oz mocha which consists of 2 oz of espresso and then 10 ounces of steamed milk.

All I needed to know was that they used chocolate syrup for the chocolate flavoring. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use an aeropress or even a french press to make strong espresso like coffee that will suffice for home brewing. European Coffee Trip has some tutorials. As far as milk frothing, you can buy either a press milk frother (you can get away with a small french press) or you could get a handheld appliance.

For those who don't have a multi-thousand dollar espresso machine (basically everyone):
Use a Moka pot ($20-$50) and a frothing wand ($10-$30). I do and get amazing results. If your technique is good enough you'll even be able to do latte art. Also, a basic hand grinder ($40-$80) is highly recommended.

There are plenty of reasonable priced espresso machines that also have milk frothed/steamers. Definitely doesn’t have to be cost multi thousand machine. I have a $100 espresso and works amazing.

Take a square of Lindt 75 percent cocoa or higher and just bust the small chocolate square in the espresso cup and let it rip. Add cream then froth the whole thing for 7-10 seconds and a pinch of sea salt.

This can actually be done really well at home
The way me and my chef dad make it
    Cutlery:
    A pot
    A fork
    Whisk
    Ingredients:
    Milk
    Hot chocolate powder
    Coffee(instant)
(And I like to add salted caramel syrup)
    Method:
Heat up the milk in the pot, when it starts to steam put in about 1 and 3/4 tablespoons of hot chocolate powder, then add 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of coffee, whisk until dissolved. Pour into mug
Optional: when in mug add 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of salted caramel syrup and stir with a fork
    Hope this interests some people.
P.S. I don't like my coffee to strong but if you do you could probably add a bit more coffee
    Edit:
Or you can make the coffee separately with ground coffee in a coffee pot(I've started doing this and the improvement is huge)
