Not heard of those tyres! If you get a chance to try Yokohama AD08R they are a superb tyre for the S2000 (from my experience on 17" wheels, at least). They deal with rain well too for a road tyre at the hardcore end of the scale. Again thanks for the upload.
AD08R 17" only ? the problem is that i'm driving with 16" wheels :) I'll check if they were made for my tyre size... And I don't know if that worth to put semi slicks on a stock honda s2000 ? maybe the reactions of the chassis will be weird
I think they do the AD08R in 16", there's plenty of info on the S2ki forum; Bridgestone RE002 are a cheaper and allegedly good alternative for 16". I've only ever run on 17". AD08R aren't semi-slick (the A048 are), they're just a full-on road tyre. I've tried numerous tyres on both my S2k's and the AD08R are the best. I'm sure you'll like them since you spend so much time on the limit of traction where they are really sweet and predictable. They have a stiff enough sidewall to really complement the chassis of the S2k as tyres soft sidewalls are not compatible with the S2k.
Save the AP1! Espacially '99 - '01 ! Owning and driving one myself! Keep it up and shoutout for the drive ;) think I need more practice for your skill - level ^^ maybe you could need new tires on the other hand :D

I love the way the S2000 oversteers under trail braking into a corner.. it just wants to come out and play. That rattle troughout sounds *really* familiar... roof latch rattle? I remember mine doing that because the brackets at the top of the windshield were worn. A set of new ones made it close snugly again.

@@Spirited_Driver means absolutely naff all. Too many varying factors. Early S's are exceptionally sensitive to Tyre pressures and geometry settings. All it takes is a few psi and a few degrees of toe/camber to be out and they're lively. An S owner of 7 years.

It's most likely the convertible top latch. They rattled from the factory unless you performed the TSB fix on it.
