Very Helpful !! Thanks I have that ignition, lost fire on 2 cylinders , need to trace , connections , hopeful thats all it is !! Thanks Man !! new Dyna coils already.
I picked one of these cb550 up last summer and when I get the current bike ( 1981 Yamaha XJ 750 SECA scrambler ) project off my lift I'll be doing the same to mine. Thanks for instructo !
There is one setting that was left out of all the installs on You tube. That is the space between the magnet on the rotor and the 'pickups' on the modules. If set too far out the corresponding cylinders will misfire. I set mine but forgot what the setting was, maybe forty two thousands?? can you confirm the range??
Hi Marvin, I don't recall reading about this in the instructions. The kits are vehicle specific. Try reaching out to dynatek and lmk if the have any additional info
Welcome to the channel. Yes I'm currently using stock rated coils rated at 4.6 ohms. It's been about 2000 miles and havent had any issues. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.
