How to know you are old. First brief sight of the exterior of the engine, and my mind thought: "Oh cool, a GB500" Those were neat, this will be really interesting, and my gosh how nice and shiny this lovely old specimen looks!" The GB500's despite being singles, had twin header pipes, so that helped along the whole old guy thing until the: Wait. What? A twin? I am confused! moment Siiiigh, lol. 🤪😆

No worries, yeah it was actually hard to trim all the footaage down into a reasonable length video. There was so much to show. Each time I was there I ended up with about 2 hours footage. 😂 Glad you liked it 👍

Some top tips from Ben here, just about 7 months too late for me. I got caught out with a pattern head gasket but so far I don't think it's caused an issue. I'm also wondering what are the chances I got all the valve springs in the right way.
@@Coppice1 Ha ha typical isn't it. Hopefully you'll not have any issues. It's handy to have as a reference. I know I'll be re watching my own video when I do a clutch change at some point 😂🤦

I'm not exactly sure how much we'll get but I'll find out soon. For prices its best messaging Ben via Instagram (link in description), as there's loads he can do with them. So it's a bit of a case by case scenario. Yeah this should still be 💣proof as it's not been messed with that much. It's part of his bolt on kit that he does. So the engine isn't pushed to its limit. Which is exactly what I'm after really. I want a bit of a boost but still simple and easy to maintain. 👍
@@7sj3Ax Hi, thanks for the comment. I asked Ben who built it, and he said we could have done that and it would improve performance, but would mean having to get the crank balanced and was a bit overkill for the build. We tried to make it as cost effective as we could. 👍

For sure👍 id just like to mention for such a young lad bens knowledge on porting alone is inspiring,as you know that is a dark art in itself! Not to mention the 3 angle cut etc,etc.you in good hands there bud.the overall build with no stone unturned when it comes to every nut and bolt and cycle part paid detailed attention to its a beauty.
