Another point oveooked by chidambaram is that it is easier to grow in percentage terms a smaller gdp ...than a larger one....that is why developed country tend to have a smaller gdp growth..Another point...countries like China, Japan and South Korea were far behind india at the time of india's independence...their per capita income rose many, many times over that of India ...during the first 50 years ..roughly the time of congress rule in India..I think the per capita income of china was 5 to 6 times that of India in 2014...Very huge difference/disparity....who should be blamed for this...the congress party or the indian people??????
