Xavi uses Alba more like IWB actually, though sometimes he still occasionally overlaps. Same thing with Alves on the right. Araujo was used vs Real M specifically as defensive fullback to stop Vinicious. When Xavi uses Dest then he most likely plays like a WB. I agree Busquets is definitely in Support role and both CMs play in the half spaces. Wingers are wide with Ferran making diagonal runs off the ball as a second striker at times. I think focus play is in the wider areas.
On general terms you got the idea right but there are some player roles that don't follow the way Barça plays; 1- Pedri doesn't play to get runs into the box, he's moving around all the midfield looking for the space to receive the ball and move it properly. Roaming playmaker or AP with roam from position on support would be a more accurate description of his role. 2- Auba drops a lot to get the ball, that you described well. What doesn't translate well is the AF (A) role for him then. DLF on attack is a lot more like it 3- depending on the match, Alba is given more or less freedom to go far more into the offensive. WB (A) for those matches where the opposition is much weaker. In matches where he has some strong opposition on his flank he restricts himself a lot more but still goes up now and then. WB (S) works there. In my experience the fullback role doesn't replicate the way he plays; not saying it won't work in your tactic, just that Alba's game is better represented the other way 4- FdJ definitely does not play like a BBM...he doesn't go that much up on the attack, he plays deep almost all the time, recycles possession, etc. In my own save playing him as DLP(D) against strong opposition and as DLP(S) against teams that park the bus works very very well to replicate how he plays in Xavi's system. 5- the AML in Xavi's system is very very dynamic, and changes a lot depending on the opposition. Ferran has established himself there neatly but there have been a good number of games where Gavi has played there and done very well. I'd say his role there would be that of a wide playmaker, but in fm22 you can't use that in the AML position, in any case when he plays there is a much less offensive minded position where he doesn't try to stretch the field as much and falls a lot towards the middle of the pitch to contribute with the buildup and do runs into the box now and then. Inverted Winger maybe... certainly not an IF (inside forward would be Ferran playing there). Of course that only happens on certain matches, on others the IF (S) role as you used fits perfectly both for Ferran or Dembele playing there. Oh...and man...Play fati on the left. ALWAYS on the left ;). He's a goalscoring machine from there, from the right...not so much ;)
This is how I’ve had my team set up over 5 seasons. Started off with WB on support, but have switched to FB due to the more conservative test defense positioning. CM on attack is one of my fave player roles this season!
Persoanlly i use two mezzalas on attack for my mid field and def mid on support which is fairly agressivr but i would say it controls the most out of mid field basically every game
Xavi used to use alba as a traditional attacking left back but sine the game against galatasaray he has been using now both right back and left back as more of a inverted fullback
the way you described aubameyang’s movement it sounded like a deep-lying forward would be more suitable. do you think that’d affect the tactic in any way? you’d most likely have to change the inside forward to an attack duty but i think that’d help to get the clearance from the back to the striker a lot easier. especially with the 3rd/4th man runs in behind
Or maybe a complete forward on attack. So that he would generally run behind the defence but also occasionally drop deep to link up with the midfielders.
Love this bro. I'm looking for a proper dirty direct non league tactic the to spithouse my way up the English non league in a Belper Town save I'm planning. I'm also really interested in Opposition instructions, do they make a difference in pressing?
Hi RDF, what can you advise to do so that the possession of the ball is more than 55% for a match with an equal opponent, is it worth listening to the assistant's opinion before a match with an equal opponent and establishing a balance? And is it possible to instruct each player to apply pressure more often and hit less often?
Rdf love your tactics man. I think a more realistic take would have the CBs and DM with Long passes for through balls to the front three because xavi expolits space well (maybe pass into space?) and as you did in the game itself - a normal backline and a higher line of engagement. the move with pedri should have been a goal, just lovely football there.
Haven’t watched the video but knew you’d do one. I have made my own interpretation of Xavi ball. I’m not normally good at things like that but it’s been epic so far. Interested to see how it compares to yours.
I literally just try to replicate his tactic (from watching the tactic video he made while he's still at Qatar) and it worked very well 😂 I haven't watch this video but I know it will be a masterclass
ps i havent subscribed because i dont want to subscribe to every channel i watch but unlike the subscriber who subs and doesnt watch a single video mate sorry for messing up your sub count lmao
good video and sorry mate liking and subscribing wont help grow channel its like liverpool bought a player 5 yrs agoi he hasnt played a single game , its all about viewer retention you know that thing youtube brought in to the back , but thn damm a new youtuber actually knowing how the algorythmS work but goiod video im playing tonbride vanarma south in a 4-3-3 made the left back good now hes said wont sign for me his better than the team so hes now sitting on bench at yeovil
You are waaaaay too loud my dude, every video 😂 either that or i have sensitive ass ears or every other video on youtube is quiet. No offence my dude hopefully you aren’t offended 👍🏼
@Ben Johnson Duh doi, i’m under half volume and going to other videos its noticeably different, all im saying is that the master is louder than necessary.
*I hope you have enjoy this video! COME AND SUPPORT ME AT THE FM STREAMER SHOWDOWN TONIGHT ON TWITCH AT 6.30pm GMT!!* www.twitch.tv/rdftactics 🤝💚
In Portuguese and Spanish, “que” and “qui” are read as “ke” and “ki”. You read it “Buskets” and “Eustákio” (from the Porto 4-2-4 vid)
Now makes me wonder how to pronounce Quique Setien? 😭
@@RiteshKumar-fo5uo it’s “Kikay” basically, because of the accent on the e

Frenkie is more of a cm(a) or a mezzala imo

That’s a masterpiece brother, thank you for this thing of beauty!!! God bless you and your family bro!
this is exactly i was looking for the past few days. A modern Xavi tactic with the current FCB squad. Good video mate.
Crazy how much Xavi has evolved from this 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 midfielder box
Does anyone know if tbese same tactics apply for the xbox edition
Persoanlly i use two mezzalas on attack for my mid field and def mid on support which is fairly agressivr but i would say it controls the most out of mid field basically every game
The best out there.. well done on this masterpiece bro 🙏
Appreciate that! 🤝
Amazing tactic and vid! 05:55 it’s more like “hetafe” btw :)
Very impressive fella. You need to do Kjtell Knutsen of Bodo
Uuuh, Xavi tactic!! NICE! Loved that INJECTION, Haha! Great video, man!

Could you do USMNT coach Gregg Berhalters tactics. Would love to see what you think of his ideas.

Nice tactic. But wow that lighting
Finally a masterclass again mate 🎉🎉🎉
Recreations are back! I've missed them haha
Me too lad haha
Most of times when I'm using a heavy possession based tactic I'd rather go with attacking mentality than the positive, what you prefer?
You’ve gained XP on this one bro ✅
Finally❤❤
💚💚
Thank you
Love tactic I am trying at arsenal

I literally just try to replicate his tactic (from watching the tactic video he made while he's still at Qatar) and it worked very well 😂 I haven't watch this video but I know it will be a masterclass
