A good friend of mine died coming up on a year ago now. 24 years old. One of the best technical guitarists I'll ever meet, and an avid gamer when he had the access. His family put his friends in charge of preparing the slides and music for the wake and funeral, and this was one of the pieces I chose to put on there. Really fit the guy. I was having a mental breakdown one day from stress and my mom could tell I wasn’t okay so she sent me out with my dad to unload some garbage at our family’s dump so he could talk to me. He managed to talk me through everything to the point of me crying. I rode my bike after we got home and rode to my local cemetery and listened to this out of sheer curiosity because I had just gotten into the game series. Now I can’t help but feel tears of joy well up when I hear this. Thank you.
When i feel sad, i hear this, when i feel happy, i hear this, the song, and specifically this cover is burned in my mind and my short knowledge about english can't describe it, but it just fits in every moment in my life, giving me hope or comfort, and nostalgia, because even if i hear this because i like it, im just another MGS fan as every ps2 owner in the 2000's

Oh this is fantastic. I always think that the main Metal Gear Solid theme is always better on a guitar. Not just orchestrated, but played slowly, softly, as if Old Snake himself, sitting beside Big Boss, at the grave of The Boss, were playing it, smoking their favorite cigar, slowly feeling their lives slipping away. Simply beautiful, you've helped me capture this moment in my mind. Thank you.
