Every so often someone walks through our lives and leaves footprints so deep they could never be erased by time. Someone who stands out and above the rest, whose flame will continue to burn for generations. This is Waylon Jennings.
Check out a band called red clay strays. It’s a mix of blues country western and southern rock. They do a cover of this that’s amazing too. Look up red clays strays real life real mucus and I think it’s the third song in their set
Waylon just oozed charisma, & he didn't even have to try. He just had a thing about him. Even now, all these years later- my heart skips a beat when I hear his voice or watch videos of him. A very talented, special man, for sure. I'll always love ol' Waymore. 💖😍
Everyone of his songs is so infectious and catchy in its own way. His melodies were haunting and lived in your head rent free. And most never complained about it. God bless ya Waylon, I miss ya.
Damn straight, Jim. For me, it his rhythm. Thats what makes Waylon, Waylon. The man of Joy! ET had it, and so did the still king Bob Wells. Maybe it's a Texas guitar picker thing?
When you watch Waylon and pay attention to his body language and expressions and movements and the way he sings and you put it all together is when you see how cool this dude was he was a cut above everyone else, he had swagg and didn't even try. This dude hands down was miles ahead of everyone else. I could see why all the ladies wanted him. One bad dude.Waylon GD Jennings.....
We gotta preserve this kind of music. Not try to duplicate it. It takes a totally relaxed and completely confident singer/songwriter to operate on this level. Waylon was totally confident and relaxed about his music and around people in general.
He's making masterpieces at this point in life. The 20 years before this was everything that will make him even bigger in the future. He will blow up again and again. This music is legendary.
Oh my here I go again listening to Waylon well I could listen to his music day and night never tiring. He is the BEST ever. REST in PEACE and keep singing to the angles, how lucky they are🙏❤️💕💖❣️
Probably my favorite Waylon performance! Clean, sober, looking and sounding great! And that fine-ass Jessie Coulter at the end; was like whipped cream on cherry pie! Wow!
When you say it, i agree to some degree. Maybe its because we WANT to identify with Waylon, he was a symbol of a real man, super cool guy, someone who didnt take no shit from noone. We want to be Waylon so we subconsciously try to identify in so many ways.
Its one thing, to be in love. Its another thing to be owned by love. Mr. Jennings just broke down the difference. Choose wisely. This man, truly had a way with words. Much respect.
I became a fan of Waylon in the mid-1980s with the release of his album, “Will The Wolf Survive”. That was an era when entertainment was actually about the music and artist. I don’t want to take anything away from any other artist, as there’s other good ones, but Waylon will always be my favorite. During an interview with David Letterman back in the 1990s Waylon said he didn’t play country music; instead he played Waylon music. I love that response, as his music, especially his later work, was a genre all to itself. WJ was an artist in every sense of the word, and he had strong words for anyone who tried to control him or his music. Wish I could have met him.
Would have killed to sit down and buy both of them a beer back in the day. This is real country, and real music, with real talent. Never will be replicated.
Seen him and Jessie in Cape Girardeau Missouri where he performed in Semo district Fair, Believe year was 99 or 2000. Was awesome and genuine as could be. Loved it
Put a little faith in the Lord, that'll be your next alternative to meeting him! That is if you can't get the bugs worked out of that there time machine!!!!
He was and has always been, for me,the greatest country music singer and voice of all time,I love George Strait, but I loved Waylon first, and always will! I'm sure he keeps the angels shuffling and singing up there!!
This man will live on forever. Hes what pac was to rap, what elvis is to rock. Never be another. His grandson Struggle Jennings is dominating the underground Nashville rap game and his great granddaughter has an angelic voice. And his son Shooter ain't nobody to sleep on. Miss this good ol country

All your Waylon and all the Cash in the world won't bring him back. It's not Willie or Won't he, so quit your Drinkin'' and Dreamin'. But he'll be here in spirit, giving you some Southern Comfort. All our Honky Tonk Heroes have to go some time. I mean he told you he Ain't Living Long Like This. You may wish he left you one more Brand New Goodbye song but God is The Taker and now Waylon's a Rablin' Man in the afterlife. He let you know he'd be a Long Time Leaving (But He'll be a Long Time Gone), so we should all go back to Luckenbach, Texas. So Let's All Help the Cowboys Sing the Blues there in his memory.
Waylon's just got them catchy tunes that keep bringing you back. I don't know how else to put it. There are some performers who try to hard and still suck or even if they're good ....they tried to hard to get there....Waylon does it how it comes to him and you can clearly see it ...Natural....the man's a natural born musician....it doesn't get any better than that

At 21 years old, I know how bad country has gotten. Waylon will always be my favorite singer. This is my favorite song. Take her home.
You're so right about today's country being crap! This is where it's at, where the music actually stirs one's soul, in real country.
Mine to
I truly honestly agree, and im 13.
I'm 29 and Waylon is my favourite too!
I'm 43 and wish I could buy you a beer.

This song is addictive. By Waylon is so cool and smooth that I can listen to it a one thousand times Camera footage is spot on too.
I've been listening to this MAN for 40t years. He sings from the heart to the heart. Imagine the concerts he puts on for the angels!
Great concerts!
🙌🙏
The angels are supposed to be protecting the house, not the lines of communication between people. Go ride a willy or something.
I agree ! I think about this a lot. I’m looking forward to Heaven some day and listening to him sing with that beautiful voice God gave just to him
Miss Waylon. Miss real country music.
The man himself. Waylon had it all when it come to country music. One of the best guitarist in country music. They dont make them like waylon anymore.
Ooooo. Yyyaayyyya! I love it. Waylon Jennings the outlaw.
2024, I feel like I’m the only 17 year old who still listens to old country music. They sure don’t make country music like this anymore
That makes you bad ass
Check out Sturgill Simpson, he is one of the few that have carried this type of tune into the modern age
I've got my 11 year old listening :-)
They can't..try as they may they can't make something that is on this level
Same age friend. Don't worry, you just gotta know where to look.
