The fact that there's been a *hidden difficulty value* this entire time is crazy. I stopped playing Patapon 3 about 5 years ago, and it's insane how content is STILL being made on it.
TH-cam recommended this video due to a recent nostalgic urge for watching Pataton stuff. I got curious about this video on my home and now I'm impressed about this quality. This is so technical, yet informative. I didn't know Patapon fandom were still alive, even less making such a quality content! Kudos and +1 subscriber :)
Thank you for this video. I always tried to explain it to people that they're not having a skill issue but in fact was just being punished by the game when they play perfect rhythm. Also finally not being called "skill issue" when failing perfects on doi.
I thought it was all 6th location (hell one) fault. It still has the most hard music, but I guess, while all other missions I play around 4th diffuculty (I have some parts of "skill issue" in my gameplay), hell's one is around 3rd. But it's amazing how I thought it was my problem, that I cannot keep up with the rhythm like in Patapon 2... P1 is still kinda hard to be perfect, for me it's almost impossible, so, I think, it's 5th difficulty aka +-1 frame as base?
Patapon 3 is not the only one, the hidden difficulty is surprisingly common in game To encourage players with less skill and give challenge to skilled player, to make game fun(with fair difficulty) for everyone
I can't believe they make the perfect playing experience in the worst of the franchise just because they focused on the PvP first instead of the PvE. Actually scratch that, almost everything added to Patapon 3 is in my opinion a lot better though a bit grind heavy. But they just have to make the Hatapon protection bullcrap from Tatepon, unhealthy luck based equipments, etc. I just hope Ratatan would keep all the good and cut off all the bad from the three franchise
So what does peerles rabbit and heave ho do? Increases the range on every level or keeps lower difficulties longer time? Also awesome video you put so much effort 👌
Is it possible if you could make a code where you can lock the difficulty to a certain level? I really hate when I'm playing with my friends and out of nowhere im dropping perfects midgame.
Any ideas on a code that freezes the difficulty at any particular spot? Kinda curious as I don't want things too difficult without grinding the difficulty down, but also not too easy.
@@RosebudMartin First, if I share it is public Second, cannot guarantee you can play alone like forever Third, if I share only to you it is not fair to other people
@@zaglezigawa8415 oh, I think perfect range changes only in easy, hard works differently Patapon 3 perfect drumming range is pretty notable as you see in the video

love that patapon content is still being created

That helps me a lot of mission difficulty strategies for Patapon 3 including secret menu to change difficulty settings like Patapon 2. Thanks, mate!
I had no idea that the game made perfects even harder.
I thought I was losing my skill.

That was really well explained. Good video
This says alot about pata society
The moment I learned about this I redirected all my hatred towards this feature
literally garbage

okay sometimes heromoding affects this, but might need to press perfect longer time
idk about the detail logic
just put the difficulty code on 😭
SUPER interesting. Thanks! (a) mil!
Pretty good video!
hidden mechanics :D
And I thought I was a noob (maybe its too)
I always drummed perfectly back in the PSP. Whats the explanation for that? The only time i would mistime is to listen more to the pre fever
You can still Perfect in hardest difficulty
Skill confirmed
@@pataponsaysdonchaka thanks hahaha, i got very far on perfect march once.
Excuse me what? Is that why I can't perfect for shi sometimes?
My Goat modder does it again 🫶
Good to know. I assume P rabbit and heave ho change difficulty one step?
So what does peerles rabbit and heave ho do? Increases the range on every level or keeps lower difficulties longer time? Also awesome video you put so much effort 👌
it subtracts one from difficulty level
so with p rabbit, max difficulty is 4
with 2 heave ho, max difficulty is 3 and so on
how to use the cheat codes in the description?
Is it possible if you could make a code where you can lock the difficulty to a certain level? I really hate when I'm playing with my friends and out of nowhere im dropping perfects midgame.
possible but it's cheating
What's the difference between an incorrect command and Command Cancel?
command cancel finishes command first, and then cancels the command in chant turn - so it's still counted as "command performed"
Neat

Possible but it is cheating (2)
@pataponsaysdonchaka yea, I know. But since I play alone anyway, that "cheat" only serves to enhance the gameplay experience for me.

Eskibili
Wait is that in vanilla patapon? or only in mods?
Since Vanilla
Halo?!
Is this setting applicable t patapon 1 and 2 (and Ratatan? ;3)
Probably not, Patapon 2 has difficulty in settings
(and do not ask about the Ratatan they are NOT official Patapon franchise)
@@pataponsaysdonchakaI am playing patapon 2 on hard ;), and I was kidding about ratatan
