    I have had this controller since its release, it only comes in the one colour and the lead is plenty long enough.
    The sticks do take some getting used too due to how precise they are but once muscle memory kicks in, the difference is night and day with this controller.
    Money well spent for sure, within the app you can set dead zones and re map any button.
    Worth mentioning that the L1 and R1 triggers are also ‘Hall effect’ so very accurate with input with the ability to turn on a mode with slightest input registers as %100 press, handy for FPS.
    At this price you all need to at least have this as a back up controller, although this has now turned into my main for games like COD.

    This might actually be an insane option for competitive FPS titles with controller support. Checks a lot of boxes and is a compelling price point, especially for hall effect sticks. I might grab one of these for Halo or Call of Duty to see how it feels.

  • @kyledupont7711
    @kyledupont7711 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    There is a large benefit to having No drift, and that is that you can tighten your dead zone in your steam controller settings. That means you can have much sooner response with the slightest stick input. Baseline dead zones are well on the safe side, meaning you have to move the stick quite a bit before you see any movement in the game

    Sucks that microsoft doesn't let third-party companies release wireless controllers unless it's wired. I hate having the usb cord hanging out during gameplay since it gets in the way.

      Isn't the 8bitdo sn30 pro for Xbox wireless? You could also use a Brook wingman xb adapter to use almost any controller on Xbox. Personally I dig wired controllers. No more batteries to change, and lower input lag though I know it is negligible. I like the PlayStation style controller of the 8bitdo pro 2 wired controller, and it's my daily driver controller.

      I didn't know that. That's a huge restriction, they've got a monopoly on the wireless.. Just have to keep buying over and over OEM to have that feature, might be best to manually swap the sticks with hall effect if possible. Series controller is the best I've ever used. It would be perfect if they added that, stock.

      Why is a wire an issue? Theres no gyro or motion controls. Walking in front of the tv is usually a no go anyways an extra cable does nothing. If distance is an issue USB extension cables are plentiful and veratile. The only downside I see for cables is its long distance cross room pains so maybe it makes kvm multi tv one xbox setups worse? But even then you could wire usb extenders through a wall and not worry about signal degredation.

    Two things.
    Please share with third-party controller makers that there is the audience that wants a wireless Xbox like controller for the PS five that comes with rumble. it doesn’t extra paddles, but there needs to be a full controller option for the PS five with off stick the razor doesn’t have rumble which sucks for its cost.
    The second thing is an idea for a video I would be interested in watching from you is how you personally use the various controllers that you have. Have done a lot of and shared how you use that specific controller however, I would like to see how you use the controllers that you have. Which controllers do you how often do you use the additional buttons on controllers? How do you decide to use keyboard over a controller etc. I always see reviews of controllers, but not specifically how gamers actually use them in their daily lives most of us just have one or two controllers may be a pro and a base or maybe just various bass type controllers, so it’ll be interesting to see someone who has a wide variety of controllers decides to use them. I know you only use three including maybe a fight stick I think that will still be interesting how you go about picking a controller for the games your playing that day.

    Hall effect is the only way to go. The accuracy and durability of the sticks is very important. The G7 SE absolutely delivers in this area. While lighter and cheaper feeling than the standard Xbox controller. The Hall effect sticks, organamics, and rear buttons are great. Not having to worry about batteries or recharging and faster input are the benefits of the wired style. I would definitely recommend this controller.

    I've had about 5 gamesir controllers over the years and they've all developed different kinds of problems after just a few months of use, I'm not sure I'd buy this one.
    I mean one developed stick drift after 2 days
    One kept shutting off randomly while having a full battery, one's dpad stopped working after 2 months, and the last 2's bumpers started either sticking or not working at all.
    And I'm not someone who breaks stuff when they get angry, I've never thrown the controllers or smashed them. Usually played racing games with them.
    But hey your experience may and will vary and I've probably been really unlucky, I'm very unlucky in most aspects of my life so that might just be it and maybe gamesir is perfectly reliable and I got literally the only defective ones in the world 5 times in a row
    I may just be really unlucky

      Impossibly lucky or don’t know how to check for it. If you play an FPS like Apex or CoD and turn your deadzone to 0 or off you’ll basically guaranteed get stick drift. Most games just have them set high by default but you lose a lot of control having such high deadzones. All 5 of my Elite 2(2 black, 1 white, 1 blue, 1 design lab) and my various normal Xbox one/ series controllers over the years drift under these conditions right out of the box. Some of the biggest offenders like Halo, Borderlands and Control have as much as 20-25% Anti Deadzone. Meaning the stick doesn’t do anything until you move the stick ~1/5 through it’s full range in a direction. That’s enough to hide even the worst drift.

      Isn't the dual sense edge just a copy of the elite series 2 though? Like you can't actually change the thumbstick mechanism you just change the head like the elite controllers

    How do you even make a wired controller in 2023....

    My old Xbox 360 controllers never drifted. Then again, I only used them for about 2 or 3 years before switching to Xbox One/X/S controllers.
    Funny thing is, in my experience, it's the OFFICIAL controllers that drift. None of the 3rd party licenced controllers that I have, which includes the 360 controllers have developed drift. Weird. 🤔

    Second I see wired....deals off. Xbox needs to allow these other companies to use their wireless standard. The average gamer does not want to use wired controllers in 2023. 99% of us aren't playing at EVO tournaments,we want clean wire free setups.

    Wired only feels so dated 😢

    • @NovaPog37

      I use wired because I play on pc, currently just use a microsoft made Xbox series x wireless controller but without the batteries, and wired.

      Wired controllers are more responsive than wireless

    • @NovaPog37
      @NovaPog37 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevie-b not necessarily, 2.4ghz technology is just as fast if not faster than wired and 5ghz is faster than wired, most modern wireless mice are faster than their wired counterparts, the input delay on a standard xbox series controller while wired os exactly the same as when it's in wireless

      @@NovaPog37Where did you get that information? There's no way a wired mice should be worse than wireless

    • @NovaPog37
      @NovaPog37 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SkyYukiGuy several studies back up my claim, there are even some of them on TH-cam. I think randomfrankp or someone similar to him made a video actually testing latency and a bunch of other stuff and found that a lot of wireless Logitech and razer mice were faster than most wired mice

    THEY COULD HAVE (& WERE CAPABLE) of DOING THIS A LONG TIME AGO...,

    Not necessarily, I bought mine recently and I put my dead zones to 0 in apex legends and it had drift towards the left.

    I'll say this about every third-party Xbox controller: they're all useless without wireless. Microsoft is really stupid for locking that down, especially with the Hyperkin retro controllers.

    😂 stick drift helps aim assist kick in.... I purposely run 0 dead zones on my elite V2 to get stick drift and let me tell you there are times on cod where I feel like I'm hacking with aim bot.... and apex legends well let's just say it's that strong if a player runs past my screen it rips towards them..

    Meh the size of this controller is a huge downside. If you have bigger hands then you won’t have a good time using this controller. It’s based off a series s/x model and not the 1708 which is bigger
