  • Warning....Unprofessional Video of the unboxing and my opinion on this budget 1500 ANSI Lumen, LCD, Native 1080p projector which has an estimated 30,000 hour life expectancy! I purchased this through Kickstarter and despite several shipping delays I finally received my L80 (10-09-2023) and so far it was definitely worth the wait. I am no expert when it comes to projectors but I am expressing my honest opinion about my initial impression of this projector. The fan noise is louder than my projector I'm replacing but it isn't unbearable by any stretch of the imagination and my recliner as you will see in the video is right beside the projector. I think some of the people who have stressed they are highly dissatisfied because of the fan noise are being a little too critical of this sub $500 projector saying "outdoor use only!!!!!!!!!" I feel like the Positives drastically out shine the few negatives. I have not tested the input lag that has also been mentioned because we very rarely play any video games. This projector is in my opinion one of if not the most bang for you buck for a budget projector and by budget I am meaning sub $500. I paid $239 on Kickstarter (it's $419 now on Amazon) shipped to my door and even at the $419 price on Amazon I think this is still a great value and worth a look if you are in the market for a sub $500 projector. I will add although I think Casiris could have handled the delayed shipping obstacle way better I am still glad I purchased this L80. Only time will tell me about the reliability and quality of the components used to build this projector. I will try to give an update on those topics once I have formed a better opinion.
